I was searching for a pediatrician for my son and ended up selecting Dr. Fote's office because I…read moreheard positive things about his practice. I don't have much to compare to as my son is only 5 days old and I've only had a few interactions with the doctors at this office. I could have selected a doctor in town but I decided it was worth driving to Rocky Hill to see Dr. Fote because he's super casual and lets the mother remain in control. I like the fact that he pretty much answers all my questions without making me feel like I haven't completed my homework because I asked. The staff at the office are extremely nice and understanding being a first time mom is not an easy task. My son had a BM and squirted on his first visit but they didn't blink an eye. I know those things are all expected but you would be surprised some children centered services still look at you with judgmental eyes if your child burps in public. The office is clean and the nurses are efficient. Scheduling seems flexible and their reminder system works out well for a busy working mother. If you're looking for a pediatrician for your children, Dr. Fote's office is worth a try.

Drs Litwin & Schwab are wonderful as well, and have been patient and professional. When we had worries or concerns, all 3 were calming and reassuring. When we needed referrals, we were given terrific specialists who related well to us and our kids. The BEST pediatricians in the area. The office staff are always helpful and personable and take time to get to know you. No question is too much trouble or too dumb. And we were always able to be seen quickly.

The PA couldn't remove plain stitchers and we had to go to an ER to get them removed. The practice…read moreis not what it used to be when Dr. Blumer was there. It's not personal nor friendly. They are cold, and unfriendly. After 12 years, we're looking for a new facility.

I moved and unfortunately had to leave our amazing pediatrician in the process. I found Dr. Blumer…read moreand hoped I had found another caring doctor for my children but I have to say that was absolutely not what we got. One of our sons has been struggling with a combined type ADHD for years now and finally started school where myself and the school felt he should be on medicine to help him focus and learn. I mentioned this to Dr Blumer several times in hopes of getting my son help. He told me how maybe It's my parenting and the teachers fault and not that he has ADHD. He suggested instead of giving him medicine to focus that we just don't send him to school. (He's 5 years old) His big fix it was wait until he's 6. Amazing right? As if he'll be any different in another year. I decided enough was enough and switched my sons and my 3 other children to a different pediatrician, Dr Melman. Now guess what, she cared what we had to say as his parents and he is now on medicine and EXCELLING in school. Before they couldn't get him to even stay in the room for a single part of the day. We could hardly sit and even read him a book because he couldn't focus for longer than 30 seconds to do that. Now he never leaves the classroom without permission! He's paying attention, he's writing his name, he's learning numbers, colors, his alphabet & he's making friends. He's joining in for all activities and loving school!!! Shame on you Dr Blumer for not doing a better job!
