N&J Mobile Car Wash And Detail

I'm lazy...let's just set the record straight from the get go. I'm talking the kind of lazy that…read moreruns her Ford Flex through the dollar store of car washes - at a convenience store maybe twice a year. The kind of lazy that has a car full of sports gear, remnants of various types of animal kibble strewn about, and a layer of dust you only see in creepy old houses - you know the kind that have had sheets over antique furnishings for centuries... I couldn't take it anymore, (and the incessant nagging of my 10 year old was getting, well - old), and since I'm the kind of lazy that has no desire to sit waiting at one of the local detail price jackers, I checked out Yelp and scoured reviews. Score one for me! Called N&J in the afternoon and arranged for 9 am (today) the next morning. I may be lazy, but I'm not heartless - I wouldn't ask anybody to work out in this heat in the afternoon. Said they had a 7 am appointment before me, so I leisurely settled in with my coffee and CNN making a (poor) assumption that 9 am surely wouldn't be 9 am. Darned if that doorbell didn't ring PRECISELY at 9 am. I was almost tempted to check my security cameras later because I swear they must have pulled up and synchronized their watches, standing patiently at my door for the clock to strike 9. This was covert ops precision. Now let me preface...I'm the kind of lazy that didn't even ASK what kind of pricing they charge when I'd called the afternoon before, because my kind of lazy figures anything is a small price to pay to save myself any further embarrassment of my filthy car, but I'm estimating "OK, probably $100 to come out and make this poor car presentable". 10:02 am and the doorbell rings again, and it's time for me to look it over. Having a white vehicle in the blinding Vegas sun...dirty was pretty much the only way I found the darn thing...it was SO CLEAN I almost didn't even recognize it, the shine of my wheels was blinding - really, I forgot to grab my sunglasses, but those babies were showroom shiny! Then, I ask the dreaded question..."what do I owe you"? $35 ma'am. Ummmm...say again? Really. YUP - all of a whopping $35 bucks, that's what our normal detailing price is, you didn't have a lot of dog hair to bring the price up. Paid the man plus tip and made sure N&J is on my speed dial list - I believe I've been reformed...at their pricing and with their customer service...I've got no excuses to cling to for not having a clean car - which should make my 10 year old very happy.

This is an update response to the business owner…read more Your "investigation" which you conducted at your own business finding everything I experienced to be untrue and everything your workers said to be true is unfortunate. It tells me that you believe it's better to call me a liar than to simply look for ways to improve your customer experience. Your manager including the attendant who handles payment, Felipe told me there was a $37 charge to buff my car. No one offered it at a discount or for free. No one was polite in their exchange of information. The dents were not present after the silver wash when all the "dirt and dust" was washed off my 9 month old car, but they were present after your manager buffed it. Your manager did refuse my tip, and he did ask me to leave. As you were not there on site personally, taking the word of people under your employment as fact is comical, and you should consider in the future that instead of calling your customers liars, you might do more to preserve your reputation and customer retention with compassion than with vague insults. Additionally, how dare you attempt to make this a "racial" issue. Your workers are hispanic. They speak Spanish. I speak Spanish. I am white. These are facts, not opinion. Stating them is not "inciting racial tension". It's irresponsible of you to even imply that. They made comments of an unpleasant nature in Spanish, about me and about my mother, in front of me, under the assumption that I wouldn't understand them. Stating this fact is not a racial issue. Please be mindful not to make further comments about me of a defamatory nature.
