As incontinence is a side effect of this surgery Triangle had assigned me to Rasika Shah who specializes in pelvic floor recovery. All I can say was that Rasika was AMAZING! Going in I had expected some level of recovery by the time 9 weeks of physio sessions were complete - anticipating as the surgeon had told me recovery could be upwards of a year. Through the pelvic floor regimen Rasika had provided me, adherence to the daily exercise program she had provided and her pushing me to mentally challenge myself with the incontinence, after only two months no longer wearing protective undergarments during the day or at night - even for sports. Which isnt bad just be sure to arrive a bit early so you're able to fill out any forms if required. the RMT that we went w is Mariya I believe is how she spells it. She is amazing. Lots of great advice, she is very sweet, and makes you feel very comfortable. An issue I had in the past at my previous physio place was the RMT (female), wasn't massaging deep enough or not enough force I guess. To the point where it felt as though she was just rubbing my back. I am so glad to say not here, Mariya really got in there and worked my muscles, my back felt so good after just one massage.
