When I first encountered neural integration and Kiera's Smart Move, I set up an appointment…read moreimmediately out of curiosity and need. The idea of a non-invasive protocol that might help reduce pain levels and increase my mobility was too tantalizing. Could it help me? Indeed it did. Kiera took a comprehensive history, asking questions such as, did this happen or did that happen, and my startled response, "Well, yes." The injuries had been years ago. Yes, my balance was terrible. The exercises are tiny movements and right on the first session, we began working on my knees. I couldn't even remotely squat; the best I could do was a tiny dip and feeling like my knees were full of cold, stiff marshmallows. My knees had once been injected with cortisone and had only a couple of days relief. I wore them taped a lot. I stomped down the stairs one stair at a time because I couldn't bend my knees enough to go down "normally". Just turned 60 and this was as good as it was good as it was going to be? This first session yielded an improvement in my knees, and it's only been onward and upward. My pain levels have dropped, along with my mobility increasing. The pre and post test showed inches of deeper bend with less pain. I step lightly down the stairs without grabbing the railing and doing my "Frankenstein stomp". I can stand on one leg. Some people have knowledge and skills and are technicians. I give them credit for their learning and skill. Others are healers with the knowledge and skills. Kiera is one of the latter. Mind boggling how much she knows for not being very old. Stagger, limp, totter, but get yourself to Smart Move Wellness and Kiera. You can thank me later.

Someone answered the phone audibly angry and told me they cancelled their Groupon account and wouldn't schedule the appointment. I'm sure I can get a refund from Groupon, but my problem is with how rude they were about it when I've been looking forward to this all month. Would be one thing if they had been sympathetic or kind or explained why, but unfortunately I didn't get that either. So while I wanted to leave 1 star for my customer service experience, since I can't rate the massage I'll leave it at 3.

Don't let the busy Highland Drive mislead you there is plenty of parking in back, the spa was clean & inviting. They were even able to accommodae my request for an upgraded massage immediately. The massage was done by Brezyette & it was AMAZING, perfect deep pressure & plenty of emphasis on my trouble areas. 2 minor flaws... 1. The music, it was not loud enough and wasn't given a choice. 2. I strongly suggest putting up signs that indicate it is a quiet area because through my entire massage I could hear loud conversations from the other guests who I believe were getting their nails done. Other than that I left relaxed & happy and will definitely return!

Book an appointment with her immediately!…read more I met Christina when she was giving massages as FitCon for promotional purposes. Getting a massage at a convention center with EDM blaring in the background isn't usually conducive to effective massage therapy. And by the time Christina worked on me, she had been on her feet for the previous 2 days giving massages for 8-9 hours straight each day. (BTW -- people lining up for massages at a fitness convention are paying little to nothing for the service.) You'd think Christina would be phoning it in at this point, and YET -- She was amazing. She is so warm and caring. She really comes across as someone who is called to ease people's pain. Even though I was a convention attendee who would likely not see her again, she took time to ask me about trouble areas and find my areas of tightness. (I'm not local to Salt Lake City. Otherwise, I'd be regular client of Christina's immediately.) And she found those pesky knots in my neck and shoulders -- gave them some really nice focused work with just the right amount of pressure. She even used an essential oil concoction of her own making for my neck, which smelled lovely (bonus aromatherapy). Since I was her last client of the day (the convention was wrapping up) she had to turn people away. And even though she was exhausted, she told me how much she hated turning away people in pain. There were about 3-4 other massage therapists at the convention, but word had gotten out that Christina was the only one worth seeing. She was (and is) truly in a league of her own. She has 20 years of experience; she had a thriving business in Idaho before a recent relocation. It shows. I imagine it won't be long before she is once again booked weeks in advance. Again, if I lived in SLC, I would definitely take advantage of the fact that she's rebuilding and get in massage time with Christina. Oh -- she also has a location in Saratoga Springs. I'm sure it's on her website.

Massages,…read morechiropractor, yoga, etc. Special shoutout to Yelp Elite Jolene for suggesting to try acupuncture, which is something I've never done before and had never even thought to do! I scheduled a 90-minute first time session with Aidan, and we talked through why I was there and his process. Since I'd never done this before I was feeling a little nervous, but he was so kind and understanding and made me feel so comfortable. I started by lying on my back and he explained everything he was doing as he did it. It wasn't painful at all! You could feel the smallest prick when the needles went in, but they were so thin and small that it was very light. He then left the room and let me lay on the table and just enjoy the acupuncture. This was literally the most relaxed I've ever felt in my whole life. I can't stop thinking about it! When he first said he was going to let me lay for about 20 minutes I was so worried that my mind would start racing and I would hyper focus on any pain points throughout my body. The exact opposite happened and I was insanely relaxed. I wouldn't say I was skeptical going into the session, but I definitely didn't expect to feel this at peace. My mind was clear for the first time in my life and I felt so good! After 20 minutes Aidan came back and I laid on my stomach and we focused on the part of my back that's been causing me pain. He's also a licensed massage therapist so he did some massage techniques hand in hand with his acupuncture, put some heat on the area of pain and let me sit for another 20 minutes. After that I was done! When he removed the needles, I got up and was able to raise my arms without pain for the first time in WEEKS. Last night I slept through the entire night without any pain, and woke up without pain. For the past few weeks I've been waking up every single morning with throbbing pain in my back, and last night I slept so hard that I almost didn't wake up to my alarm. Thank you so much Aidan, this was an amazing first experience and I can't wait to come back.

I have been suffering from severe anxiety since I was four years old, and have spent the majority of my life in and out of different doctors, neurologists, psychologists, dietitians, natural supplements, medication treatments, blood tests, you name it to try to figure out what was wrong. After twenty minutes of talking with Dr. Holman, she stated that I was a classic case of a gene mutation that causes your body not to be able to create the brain chemistry needed to suppress anxiety. I took the blood test - and it came back positive with not only one mutation of that kind, but two! In all my years, I have not had one "specialist" tell me about this gene mutation or gave me the option to get tested for it. It is apparent that Dr. Holman has a passion for solving and treating the real problem, not just covering it up with other agents like every other doctor I've ever been to. Do I recommend her? Absolutely - I have waiting 25 years to receive the test results that she was able to provide for me. What an absolute gift and blessing.
