We had a great experience here going to get a nose piercing. The man had a lot to juggle honestly because there was a line! He would get it cleaned and wiped down, get the paper work up, let us pick out the jewelry, and pay after the piercing. He made sure to give good instructions on how to care for the piercing. When we were paying there was more people coming in for piercings. There were a few people coming in for tattoos too. 5 stars for the speedy and seamless process to get in and out. I just had a cover up tattoo done by Justin. It was a Mermaid and I had Justion cover it up with the head of a male lion. I had to wait about 2 1/2 weeks to see Justin as he is booked far in advance (because he is an amazing tattoo artist). I arrived at my appointment , I told Justin what I wanted and we found the perfect image of a male lion. He prepared my arm for the tattoo and then he got started. The process took almost 4 hours, but boy was it worth it. I couldn't be happier. Some of the other artists in the shop came over to watch and they all thought it was very cool. My daughter and I both got a Daith piercing and she got an additional cartridge piercing. We chose the Titanium jewelry which was mid-range in price. For three piercings and jewelry with a 20% tip it was $320. This isn't a mall gun piercing experience or price. This is a professional piercer who uses clean, sanitized needles to do body piercings. I got a tattoo here, the artist was a bald white guy (forgot his name) was pretty rude throughout the entire experience, I was asking questions because it was my first tattoo and it just seemed like he was annoyed I was there. After the tattoo was done he gave me no instructions on how to treat it, after I told him it was my first one. He gave me a paper towel to cover the tattoo and when I got home i noticed the ink bled onto the paper towel, I asked my tatted friends about it and they all said that is NOT how they're supposed to be treated. All in all it was a pretty annoying and unprofessional experience, as a customer I was very unsatisfied and wished I had went somewhere else. I've had friends that went here for piercings and heard it was a good experience but if you're trying to get a tattoo I would personally go somewhere else. I read quite a few reviews about how expensive piercing was here. The bulk of the price was for good jewelry that won't cause infection and will last. If you want cheap jewelry and a chance of infection, go somewhere else. If you want great service and great jewelry that will last, this is the place for you. They took the time to go over everything with my daughter and make sure she understood how to take care of her septum piercing. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. They did a great job on my piercings, but it is expensive. $120 for an ear piercing. Just a regular first ear piercing with the cheapest earrings they offered. I'd recommend bringing your own earrings and then the price isn't bad at all. read more

However, when I went to go get the tattoo (they accidentally drew on my hand WITHOUT permission) removed I was left with 3 unanswered emails AND they have done nothing about this. THIS IS A RACIST ESTABLISHMENT! BEWARE!!! I'm an African-American woman in my late 20's. This is the first time I've ever had to leave a negative review for any place of business, but I want everyone to know how they treat people of color. I came into this establishment on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 shortly before 5pm. Upon entering, I noticed a white woman sitting outside on a bench. I walked past her and entered into New Addiction Tattoo Parlor. After entering, I met eyes with a white male employee who was closest to the entrance. He noticed me as well but turned away almost instantly.. I stood in the lobby area and patiently waited. About one minute later, I met eyes with another employee, who appeared to be of the oriental background; he had just come out of a back room; he stared at me for about 4 seconds and then proceeded about his business.. At this point I noticed that the white woman who had been sitting outside on the bench was coming inside the door. She proceed behind the cash register counter; and I'm now coming to the realization that she too is an employee. In that moment, I thought she was preparing to address my presence and offer service to me but she only grabbed her handbag and began to interact with another white male (unknown if he was an employee). They spoke for a few minutes and then both proceeded out the door. I began to look at the time in my phone and noticed that i had been standing there for about 3 minutes. There was one other employee who was beginning to work on a tattoo. He too glanced at me but continued assisting his customer.. After approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds of standing in the lobby, I decided to leave. I walked out the door and noticed that the white woman from behind the cash register counter was standing outside conversing leisurely with same previously mentioned white male. I walked past them both, got into my vehicle and left the parking lot. No one ever even acknowledged my presence at this place of business. It reminded me of the days when coloreds were not welcomed in certain places.. It's unfortunate that in the year 2020 racism still so bodily exists. Please beware of this place. read more

Very professional and polite. The place is clean and organized. The jewelry selection is good, kinda pricey but well worth it. I don't want any infections because I price shopped and ended up using cheap lead laden jewelry. Spend the money and get quality. When you're coming inyo a place to get your 1st piercing, a guy or gal with tattoos and facial piercings can look intimidating but at the same time, if I'm getting tatted or pierced, it makes sense to have someone that is pierced or tatted. Don't let the bad ass looks fool ya; these guys are all the way super cool. Check their work on FB, Intagram or Tumbler. I've had my nose pierced and have since returned for additional piercings. I received the same friendly treatment on the 2nd visit so it wasn't just a "good" day. This last visit, I was lucky enough that there were two piercers and was able to receive both piercings at the same time. If possible, I highly recommend this way over one at a time. They must have gone through several sets of gloves a piece; this along with knowing the chair was just cleaned made me very comfortable. As I've gotten all that I want pierced, I probably won't be in the piercing room again but maybe I'll make it over to the tattoo side. read more

I have been told iffy things about new addiction but their ratings are overall good so i went to get my septum pierced. I needed to be able to hide it for my job and told them that so they gave me and my friend retainers without explaining we could get the standard septum ring and hide that too, which i would've got instead. The initial needle through my nose wasn't bad but when the piercer had realized that the piercing wasn't straight she was trying to fix it and was touching it constantly which caused me to be very light headed and sick feeling (which can happen in any situation and isn't necessarily the piercers fault) but i had eaten and tried to make sure that wouldn't happen. Then she only allowed me to look at the piercing for a maybe second. I couldn't tell that it was slanted when i looked and then she proceeded to put it up my nose so i couldn't see which we were unaware that was the only way the retainers can be in your nose or it'll fall out before getting pierced. We were told to not flip it down for 4-6 weeks but being curious since i didn't really get to see it, i flipped it down. Because of the square retainer and the slanted piercing the jewelry is almost pointing all the way to the side. And when we left we weren't told any care procedures which is odd since this is my 17th piercing and was never not told the after care procedures. The piercer was very nice that wasn't an issue but the experience was just too off for me to every return or recommend anyone else. read more

I have had my nostril and belly pierced in the past, both which healed wonderfully with 0 issues whatsoever. Today, I was very very pleased with my service and level of care Mikey provides. I had a cartilage piercing in my upper ear done recently by a different studio, and I noticed the site was swelling and problematic. I went in to see Mikey because they are closer to me than the other studio in which the ear was done, and Mikey was more than willing to help. He immediately noticed the swelling and took measures to remove the piercing right away. The initial piercing wasn't even done at this location, and he still helped remove it when it became problematic and is very knowledgeable about piercings. I 100% suggest New Addiction and Mikey to anybody looking for a piercing. Mikey is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and really knows his stuff. The service was excellent and the piercer knew exactly what he was doing and even had to have me pick a different earring to pierce my tragus because my tragus was too small for the earring a picked. The only reason why I give it 3 stars is because it's very expensive. My tragus was $120 where if I went to another parlor it would've been $50 but I only went here because I did it with my friend for her birthday and she picked here. Took my 5yr old daughter in to get her ears pierced by a professional instead of the typical store at the mall. I would highly recommend this route instead of the 'guns' other places use to basically shoot the earing through the ear. This is way less painful and traumatic.Tirza was amazing. She told us up front what to expect and that she requires my daughter to say she wants the piercing, plus wouldn't do it if she cried. Totally understandable and great policy.
