Or you may dine inside at cozy tables with cloth napkins. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with colorful traditional Mexican art. I felt like I walked into a different world far away from the bustle of the airport. The extensive menu has everything from traditional Mexican delights (antojitos), tacos, to soups and salads, beef, chicken, seafood, and even delicacies like crickets or escamoles for the adventurous. I chose a tlalpeño soup and a the Chile relleno. They were delicious! They have a full bar for those who want it, but I chose one of their refreshing aguas frescas. They also offer soft drinks or bottled water and coffee. I was too full for a dessert, though they looked amazing. Prices run high for Mexican standards: between 200 to 500 pesos an entree. But considering the excellent table service, enchanting decor, the quality and presentation of the food it is worth it. I've paid more in the USA for far less. The servers are attentive and friendly, dressed with unique traditional Mexican accessories. When we asked one to take our picture, he offered us sombreros to wear for the picture. Sure, why not? The restrooms were clean as was everything I saw. I have been through this airport numerous times but never had seen them before. I will certainly return when I get the chance.

Kinda disappointed. Based on other reviews expected a really nice ambience and high quality food. I…read morewasn't very happy with the shrimp cakes, it tasted like old/dirty shrimp. Taste did not match price. Certainly there is an effort here to be special, but I think next time I'd just grab something from the food court at 1/3 the price and maybe better taste. Service was ... very.... attentive. More than I like. That kind of efforting-to-make-an-impression-but-actually-overcomplicating sort of vibe.

They're located five stores deep down the row of restaurants, four stores past Starbucks. I was looking for a good Mexican breakfast and order the huevos rancheros. It came with beans and fresh squeezed orange juice. I added a coffee to my order. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was like it was made at home, and very good. It is authentic Mexican food. They use all natural ingredients and even make their own mole. I did not realize their coffee is cafe de olla until I got to my table. This is a special kind of Mexican coffee which is quite good if you are in the mood for it. But it has a very unique flavor. The coffee is prepared in a clay pot, and they add raw sugar (known in Mexico as "piloncillo", or in Colombia as "panela"). All the flavors, including the taste of the clay pot come through in the coffee if it is authentic. This was. If that does not sound good to you, you can always get your coffee at Starbucks or at the 7-Eleven across the way. Since this restaurant is more like a food stand within a food court, the bathrooms are serviced by the airport not the restaurant. There is one common area with tables and chairs for dining. There are a few places which offer power outlets to recharge your devices. For what it is, this establishment does a very good job. After you dine, if you have the time, I recommend you go by the Memoria Fotográfica de México on your way back into the check-in area and to your gate. It is a an amazing display of photographs from Mexico's colorful and rich history.

On my second visit, I did and the food was delicious, with generous portions and very inexpensive (it cost me $10 for 2 people!!!). It is more of a fast food restaurant, but having eaten in one of the table-service restaurants in the airport, the food here not only tasted better, but the presentation was also more appealing. If you're not familiar with the dishes, the photos of the food are pretty accurate. I'd eat here again.

As others have mentioned, the servers are good at encouraging additions that aren't clearly extra charges. This could simply be cultural -- in the States, different dishes come with things like lettuce, tomato, etc. -- and if there's an upcharge, they tell you. It's not clearly stated here, but I don't think this is specific to Urban Corner -- so just know if something is offered, it's a paid add-on. So I added on avocado, which was worth the additional cost! Another thing that's different is one you've gotten your food/order, they don't come back and check on you -- so my coffee got cold and I would have liked more, but my server wasn't around for me to request it. The good part about this is they don't rush you -- so if you're at the airport early it's a good place to sit and hang out before your flight.

BEWARE OF THIS SCAM PLACE…read more CHECK THE BEVERAGE MENU PRICES BEFORE YOU ORDER. Seriously. The food looked and tasted like absolute garbage. I would post pics, but honestly, I don't need the PTSD reminder from this place. But here's the worst part: The waiter casually offers us a "mimosa" -- no mention of price. We each got one (2 total), thinking it's just a normal breakfast drink. Then the bill comes. $95 USD. Our actual breakfasts? Around $10 each. Do the math. I expect mediocre food at an airport, fine. But getting blindsided like this? It completely ruined the end of what was otherwise an amazing trip. This wasn't just overpriced -- it felt like a straight-up scam. And after reading through other reviews, it's clear this isn't a one-off -- this seems to be a common practice there.
