She asked us questions to understand our needs and then showed us products to help. She and the rest of the crew were so warm and friendly! We had a wonderful experience. After using the products at home in CA for a few months, I knew I'd fallen in love. I've placed several orders since my trip last year both for myself and loved ones. Each time I order, I'm shocked by how quickly I receive my products seeing as they have to come all the way across the country to reach me. Each order has had a hand-written personal note from Sophie thanking me for my purchase. So sweet! I also have sent a few emails asking questions or for recommendations and always get a kind, thoughtful and thorough response. It's so different from most commercial businesses and I love it so very much. It's these types of little touches, the extra care and effort, that keep me constantly looking forward to when I can visit again in person. I literally tell everyone I know about my Jane Gee products and experiences because it's beyond amazing every time. AND- my skin has never been so clear and soft! I would give a million stars if I could!

I was back in this area today so I stopped by to see what they had at this location…read more I was greeted right away when I walked in and the saleslady told me to let her know if I needed any help finding products. I saw a very nice selection of cosmetics and skin care items from major brands such as Estee Lauder, Clinique, Tom Ford and such. They were running an awesome sale where their items were 30% off and some of them were even 40% off. Definitely a good time to shop if you want higher end beauty products at way less than department store prices! I got a great deal on an Estee Lauder cleanser that I would have paid way more for online or in a department store. I also got a MAC lipstick in a beautiful shade that I spotted and only paid $5 for it which is really a steal. The saleslady threw some trial size Aveda hair care products in my bag when I went to pay for my items which was a very nice touch. She also gave me a coupon for 20% off a single item on my next visit to any one of their locations. The customer service is great here and I love the store. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Maine.

The staff changes each year but they are always grumpy and totally disinterested in what they are selling AND they don't know much. We spend over $200 in this store every year and no one seems to care or know what they are doing. It is extremely frustrating and a disappointment. I worked in retail for many years in the cosmetic and fragrance departments, so I have expectations. At least be cordial.

I had been going to Northeast Dermatology in Portsmouth for years. At last year's appointment the…read moredermatologist asked if I would rather go to the office in York instead of Portsmouth. I thought that was great considering I live in Kennebunk. Today was my appointment at 10AM. I did a driveway earlier this week. I arrived today to find the door locked. I called the Portsmouth office and voiced my displeasure with not being told the office was closed. She said they left me a voicemail in December (I never received it). She said the woman I had my appointment with was no longer there. I said I wasn't happy about driving there for 1/2 hr. and since I was close to Portsmouth, did they have anything available in Portsmouth for today. She said yes, at 10:40. I said that would be great. She said I'm gonna put you on hold so I can set it up with scheduling. I sat in my car hoping to get a response. After 20 minutes on hold, I hung up and called back thinking I was in the black hole. So I called back. She had an attitude and said there was nothing available today but she could get me in next week. I told her I was not interested and honestly I did use a naughty word. If there's one thing I cannot tolerate is people wasting my time. They could have sent me an email or try contacting me again. So I wasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. Never again!

Location was nice and you can see the Old Harbor outside. but as you enter - my goodness was the scent so heavenly and relaxing!! I immediately drifted to the soap bar shelf and had the best time smelling them lol The scents were amazing and the soap packaging was beautiful. If you plan to give them for gifts, they are all ready to hand out! I love that there is a "portsmouth" soap sleeve and its cute that they named some of the soaps after things or areas around the town such "prescott gardens", "whaleback lighthouse" etc. There are other things to choose from there aside from soaps and have plenty of accessories and gift items as well. The staff was very pleasant during our visit and we actually enjoyed chatting about how she was from NY, moved to NH and loved it. Very tempting thought lol anyway, you have got to check this shop out whenever you're in Portsmouth and hopefully you'll love it as much as I did.
