The water here is incredibly clear & clean.

A hidden slice of Tahoe tranquility. Tucked just off a quiet road I'd never ventured down before, Nevada Beach turned out to be a great find. Only about two miles north of Stateline, this serene stretch offers a half a mile of sandy shoreline with unbelievable views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Peaceful, pristine, and delightfully uncrowded. Visitors come to unwind, swim, kayak, paddleboard, picnic, or just layout. You'll be sharing this area with local ducks and geese who are always fun to watch. There's a $12 day-use fee paid at the entrance to a ranger, though some opt to park just outside of the site and simply walk in. Restrooms are in decent shape, and just behind the beach is a campground. The water here is spectacular. It's incredibly clean and clear but keep in mind that Tahoe's water is always cold even in the middle of summer so if you'd like to swim longer than a few minutes a wetsuit makes it much more tolerable.

This was a great beach, especially for viewing the sunset. Easy to get to and lots of parking, which cost $10.

On the afternoon that we arrived, we were lucky that the parking kiosk was not working and the gate to enter was open, so we lucked out with free parking. But will mention that this most likely was during off season because it was pretty cold on the day of our visit (we were one of very few crazy people willing to kayak in the water on this cold day (low to mid 60's). After we parked, my husband and I pulled our foldable kayaks over to the sand. After putting our kayaks together, we launched ourselves from the sand and then were off. Initially the water nice and calm but about 30 minutes into it, the waves started to get choppy and the winds were blowing kind of hard, so we only managed to kayak for about an hour but it was a fun visit. The view from my kayak was very beautiful and serene (before the winds starting to blow harder). Please note that near this beach is dog friendly, Zephyr Shoals Beach north of Zephyr Cove Resort. But where we parked and launched our kayaks is not dog friendly. There is food sold from the concession stands and there are restrooms on this beach (but I did not use any of the restrooms, nor did I purchase any food). Also kayaks are available for rent here. Overall, we had a good visit and would consider coming back here to kayak again the next time we visit Lake Tahoe.

Pope Beach is one of several beaches located on National Forest land. When my husband and I came for a visit 2 Wednesdays ago (in March), it is during the off peak season. It has gated access for cars, in which it cost $10 (but prices increase during July 4th weekend). But we ended up parking along State Highway 89 (among other cars) and walked on the bike trail over to the beach. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed. It was nice to be able to visit this beach when it was not crowded and just watch the water (which looks to be really clean). The beach itself was very clean and this beach allows for you to swim, kayak, canoe or paddleboard. The beach does have public restrooms. There were also picnic tables and plenty of shade from the trees. Definitely a place to consider when you come to Lake Tahoe in the warmer months if you are looking for a little lake/ beach fun.

Perfection for a beach day for friends, family and kids, except when theres a random thunderstorm of gumball sized hail. The beach is fantastic with tall trees providing much needed shade. Captain Stacy and Mate Katerina were gracious hosts and provided us with lots of cool Tahoe history, in-between serving us cocktails and pointing out mutliple "must-see" points of interest in Emerald Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour Vikingsholm (our docent was wonderful as well), with an added bonus of seeing Eagle Falls because we had a little extra time. When we returned to the boat, Captain Stacy provided us with delicious snacks and made sure we were "fed and watered" before returning to the marina. We had considered a few other boat tours of Lake Tahoe, and I'm SO happy we chose Cruise Tahoe. It was intimate but we weren't crammed in like sardines, very professional yet laid back, and the perfect amount of time on the lake for us. Highly recommend! Side note - directions to the Tahoe Keys Marina were excellent and appreciated for us 3 directionally-challenged girls.

Tucked just off Highway 50 near Zephyr Cove, this scenic overlook offers a short paved path to panoramic vistas that feel like a postcard come to life. Also BONUS there is a bathroom! We visited mid-morning and found the lighting perfect for photos crisp reflections on the lake, snow-dusted peaks in the distance, and a peaceful hush that made it feel like our own private lookout. The boulder outcroppings are fun to explore, and there are a few informal trails that lead down toward the water if you're feeling adventurous (though they're a bit steep, so best for sure-footed hikers). Parking is limited to a small turnout on the southbound side, so plan accordingly. Restrooms are available in summer, which is a thoughtful touch for families. We packed a light picnic and found a quiet spot to sit and soak it all in--no crowds, no noise, just nature at its finest. Whether you're chasing the perfect photo, a quiet moment, or a scenic pause in your Tahoe loop, Logan Shoals delivers. It's one of those places that feels like a secret until you see the view and realize it's too good not to share.
