I would highly recommend booking this museum in Los Altos for your wedding or any event, really…read more The venue is absolutely stunning for an outdoor wedding and has an indoor section too. We really wanted a cozy intimate backyard wedding vibe and that's exactly what we got here! Huge plus is my husband loves history, and you get free access to the museum for a year with a ton of other benefits once you have an event here + your donation is tax deductible. You also don't need much decor at all due to the natural beauty but we hired a decorator for the arches, stages, and table settings. Lisa will also give you a list of vendors partners you can work with just in case. Overall, she was really amazing to work with and super responsive because anytime we needed to do a tour walk through with vendors or a tour of the venue, she was there. Thanks Lisa for answering all my questions!! You can't go wrong having your wedding here. We had a spring wedding of close to ~200 folks and thank God it didn't rain but summer or even fall would be beautiful here. For photoshoot opportunities there's a ton onsite and a beautiful orchard just steps away from the museum for sunset shots. A magical day indeed.

Upstairs, there's a permanent exhibit on the history of this city, which has about 40,000 people, but still feels like a town. Overall, it's a great little museum (with free (!) admission) and about 20-30 minutes is plenty of time to explore and get an idea of the exhibits and the staff are friendly and helpful to give an overview. There's also a little gift shop by the front desk with cute trinkets and toys, as well as books and other souvenirs. You can even rent this museum for a private event such as a party or a wedding!

Absolutely fantastic experience!…read more The food, the service, the ambience. All just excellent. Staff is attentive and respectful. Met the owner and he is very kind and friendly. Even gave me a tour of the speakeasy. I had the Chesapeake crab cakes. Very crispy and light. anot heavy on the breading at all. Very satisfying. Then I had the Forest mushroom risotto. Tasty and perfect consistency. Finally I had the Sancerre for drink. Crispy and refreshing. Overall I recommend and will absolutely go back with other people.

I hate to write this review but sharing my honest feedback is what I do best. I booked this…read morerestaurant for a team dinner with some senior leadership on my team. I originally booked for 8 people online, which was accepted, but I had one more person join last minute so I called the morning of to adjust it. The person on the phone replied with, "well I guess we don't have a choice" in which I responded with just, "ok". One person ended up canceling last minute which brought my party back down to 8 so I did let the host know prior to me being seated which didn't end up being a problem. I ordered apps for the table as my party began to arrive and while we waited for the last two people. One person didn't and up coming and one other was running so far behind that this person who I suspect was the owner was pacing back and forth stating he needed the table back if they're not going to show. I assured him they were still but it's very rude to say that in front of my entire party and loud enough for everyone around us to hear it. The most senior person in my group even stated how rude that was. It was so embarrassing! I was out calling the person and they finally showed up and I went back out to talk to the gentleman who was telling us he needed the table back and told him that 1 of 2 people showed up and asked him nicely to not take the table and to stop saying he would in front of our party. He told me he wouldn't as it's too late now that they arrived. I have never had this experience anywhere I've dined at before and it's very unprofessional. Though the food and the other staff were great, I unfortunately won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone. If you do decide to dine here, I hope you never encounter a similar experience.

I absolutely love the University Club of Palo Alto!…read more For me, the highlight is the pool. I love swimming here--there's an excellent lap pool where you can sign up for lanes, a diving board for extra fun, and plenty of open swim time for families. Kids can't get enough of the swim team, and there's even a shaded baby pool that's perfect for infants and toddlers. The tennis courts are top of the line, whether you're playing just for fun or competitively. The tennis pros are fantastic, and the whole tennis community here is great. Pickleball is also really taking off--it's always fun and social. The gym has everything you could want: Peloton bikes, free weights, machines, and a full range of classes. Beyond fitness, people also gather for bridge, mahjong, and other activities, so there's something for everyone. The food is excellent, the full bar is always a plus, and the events calendar is packed. There are great adult activities (salsa dancing, wine tasting, Aloha nights) and plenty for kids too (kids' night out, movie night, and more). Best of all, the community is welcoming and friendly. It's easy to meet people here, and many members end up making lifelong friends. All around, it's a wonderful club--I can't recommend it enough!

It's such a fun way to stay active, and we love that we can play together as a family. The courts are in a beautiful setting, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. We have lighted dedicated courts that are the best in the valley. Several members of our club have won major pickleball tournaments nationally. Our men's elite team has won the peninsula league the last two sessions. Beyond the game itself, one of the best parts has been meeting new friends--we've connected with such a welcoming group of people. It's been the perfect mix of exercise, community, and family time in a great environment.
