I was referred to this facility by my primary care for headaches. First appointment with an NP wasn't bad, felt heard and we came up with a good plan of care. The NP I initially saw no longer worked there upon my follow so ended up seeing the MD. I waited 45 min past my appointment time for a 5 min conversation. My medications were sent to two different pharmacies for my convenience but when picking my preventive medication from the first pharmacy I was told the provider never placed a prior authorization and they would contact the office and perhaps I should as well. So I did, this is January. Called three different days multiple times a day and no one ever answers the phone even when you leave a voicemail. I tried their text services and same problem no one ever replies. Today March I have a follow up, same as before 45 min for a 5 min conversation. When I'm asked how the meds are going for me I say well I can't vent tell you since you never put in the prior authorization therefore I was not able to take the meds as prescribed. He tells me he has no control on the authorization being approved by the pharmacy and tries to explain to me how insurance works. So when I ask ok so if the problem isn't you and the insurance isn't approving my meds what am I do to? I can't no clear answer other than we will put it back in for you and call or text if you have any issues. Well I explain to him that would be an ideal scenario if the staff ever answered the phone, called people back or even text anyone back. He said that's unfortunate, hands me free samples for one of the medications and tells me to carry on with my day. Now I work in healthcare and know about prior authorizations and I can as provider and patient check on the status of a prior authorization and of course there was never one placed, so the problem isn't the insurance or pharmacy as they wanted me to believe but the lack of work the provider is willing to put in to ensure medication use gets approved. The worst customer service, care and concern for patients I have ever experienced. I'm going back to my Primary care to get a provider that actually cares because at the end of the day when you try to blame insurance/pharmacy for your lack of knowledge or work you end up hurting the people you took an oath to care for. read more

So far I'm loving this place! Doctor Hall (Neurology Nurse Practitioner) is very nice and easy to talk with and understood my concerns and symptoms. Also went back today for some testing and the technician very nice and easy to talk too. She explained in details what procedure she was doing as well as what she was looking for. I've been going to Dr. Maquera since 2019 and never had any issues. His staff is always so kind and helpful. He's very thorough and has helped keep my multiple sclerosis stable. Every time I need something, I just call in and his staff always makes sure that I get what I need. I appreciate all the tests he has ordered for me because I get anxiety for the unknown and it's better to be safe than sorry, in my opinion. He's also very caring and takes you, as the patient, into consideration. If something doesn't work for you, he will find alternative ways to make sure you are always taken care of. I love his Frenchies too! He has his support dog Frenchies there in his office and I appreciate them so much. They help calm me down and help with my anxiety and nervousness. I always get nervous going to the doctor's office and here at NeuroTek, they make sure you're comfortable at all times. Special shoutout to Kathy and Joann as well! Left message for referral issues yesterday and never received a call back. Called again while waiting in second waiting room. Got a remote worker that had no clue. She put me on hold and then asked me to leave the waiting area and go to main counter while she stayed on the line. I said heck no! Already got missed and ignored. Reason is I had checked in at 1:00 appt time. Lobby was full. Sat next to a 91 yr old and we started telling war stories. I asked him how long he had been waiting. He states about 1.5 hours. We continue our conversation for about another half hour. He gets called back. So, here I am at 2 hours of waiting. I wait another half hour and see the elderly vet leave. I get up and ask how much longer. Oh, sorry. We forgot you! They take me back to second waiting area and I wait another 25 minutes. I make the above mentioned call as I wait. Doc finishes with his client and walks her out. The remote worker asked me to call back tomorrow! Heck no. Find the answer and call me back! Leave a message if I am still with Doc. Call ended and nothing....no call back, no message. Doc comes out and turns to other guy in waiting room. Thankfully, he asks who's next. I jump up and tell him I've been waiting 3 hours! He tells me that I should have stepped up much earlier. Told him I wasn't the only multi hour client waiting. Wtf. Tried to blame me for his staff screwing up! Wow, just wow! Walk out after quick follow up visit and immediately try to call referral lady back. It's 4:10 and the recording is saying they are now closed! The only one I recall apologizing is the front office worker. I will update if the remote worker or someone else calls to answer my referral extension request/question. read more

Like going to used car sales! Referred for specific condition, this was all but ignored and they wanted expensive tests for everything but what was needed, crazy unrelated conditions never had and don't have! Calls ignored, emails ignored, and not to mention illegal recording of patients. Its all about how many test can they get ordered on your insurance, others warned us to avoid for this reason, but they seemed nice and made promises to get us in, ha ha - used car sales! Over one hour wait in room filled with cheap awful smelling room spray! They Charged insurance over $800 for asking unrelated personal questions and expected answers, NOT! Have typed notes saying have conditions that made my team of doctors and attorney laugh and still laughing! They will Tell ya anything to get you in the door.... Going back? Never!!! Had to get appt with another doctor for quality care, never again! Nice and quality are NOT the same, now see why so many bad reviews from others and warnings from medical friends. read more
