If we could give Brandy Oto 100 stars we would!…read more We started seeing Brandy for couples / marriage therapy in the beginning of October 2019. We chose Brandy because of her practice using the Gottman approach. It seemed like it COULD work. Our marriage had been so destructive for so long, Brandy said she was shocked that we were still together. We did not even have a foundation to rebuild our marriage back up on. We were, however, committed, to fix things because of our children. On November 23rd, our marriage hit "rock bottom" with an argument to end all arguments. We called for an emergency session with Brandy. She walked us through some intense exercises that week. Following that week, we had gone from seeing her every two weeks to weekly. It was BAD. Each session, she would have us go through exercises that brought us to tears. Then she would send us home with "homework" for the week, which we took seriously and completed. Fast forward... By Christmas 2019, it seemed as if our relationship was back to its "honeymoon" phase from when we first met in 1997! We had moved back into the master bedroom together again and slept side-by-side for the first time in about 4 years. We were going on weekly dates. The culture in our home had did a 180 degree turn where our children (7 & 11) were confused on what was going on. They had NEVER seen us so "lovey dovey" as they called it. We were sitting next together on the couch to watch tv, we were holding hands, when we could, we were smooching often, we were "boyfriend & girlfriend" as our son called it. WTH??? This was such a holiday MIRACLE, to say the least! Our family said it was the best Christmas present they could've received. It WAS the best Christmas present that we received for sure. By January 3, 2020, Brandy "released" us, and we "graduated" from couples therapy. It took about 2 months (collectively) of meeting with Brandy to "fix" us. We all are in shock, but grateful. We are now looking forward to our future...ours and our children's. Thank You Brandy for giving "Us" back to our marriage!

During labor, we did what we practiced and the mother later reported that this was the most helpful tool for managing the intensity. When a complication arose in labor, there was not a lot of time and several fast decisions had to be made. Having Nancy there as a trusted resource made all the difference. All it took were a few adamant nods of approval from Nancy to help me feel like the right decisions were being made. This helped avoid critical time delays since I normally would have wanted to spend more time to understand what was going on in more depth before making any decisions.
