After being referred to Dr. Parnell in April 2024, due to multiple Neurological conditions, seizures, sleep disorder, neuropathy, amnesia, muscle weakness, and more, she said my conditions did not meet her level of expertise and advised I see a nurse practitioner. I disagreed. After a three-month wait, in July 2024, the Nurse Practitioner decided my case was too complex and scheduled me for another three-month wait. My hour-long appointment in September 2024 was cut to 20 minutes without notice, and no physical exam was performed. To my surprise, Dr. Parnell claimed she did a complete physical exam and questionnaire in twenty minutes, changed my medication, and only discussed half of my issues. Afterward, she directed her nurse to schedule an appointment six months from now. I messaged her to ask that some items mistakenly entered be corrected. Instead of reviewing my history to see that I was accurate, she wrote me back stating she could no longer be my doctor because I had too many issues. In my chart, she wrote that I was being released because I had severed what a normal doctor/patient relationship was. Unfortunately, many of the answers she filled in were incorrect, and I didn't want that reflected on my record, regardless of whether she was my doctor and asked to make the changes. I have copies of the messages exchanged through the patient portal as well as the correspondence related to my requests for corrections. I filed an online grievance, but never received a reply. I then sent a letter of grievance, and they chose Dr. Parnell as the representative to hear my complaints, which I found absurd. But I stated the issues, and she twisted my words. I stated that I did not agree with anything she wrote. She promised I would get a chance to review it before she revised her notes. The next day, she published her notes without changing anything and stated that I had agreed with every statement she wrote. I have retained a copy of her published notes and my letter disputing her statements. I attempted to contact the Privacy Officer but was hung up on several times and, on other occasions, diverted to the Marketing Director, Sarah, who refused to allow me to speak with the PRIVACY OFFICER. After four attempts, Sarah finally allowed me to talk if she were present and spoke for her. Dr. Price had by now added that I was banned from all Neuroscience facilities everywhere. I asked Sarah why. Because we need to protect Doctors from you, because you're a liar, was Sarah's reply. I then wrote a letter to Dr. Price at NSG with suggestions on how we could resolve this in a civil manner, without resorting to the courts or government agencies. Dr. Parnell's ban from NSG was inappropriate, and retribution cannot be given out while a grievance is in process. He chose not to reply, and Sarah had told me never, ever to call NSG again. I have since completed the necessary paperwork to contact: 1. Secretary of the Department of Health & Human Services; 2. The Medical Board of Examiners; 3. The Medicare Peer Review Organization / BFCC‑QIO; 4. The Wisconsin Division of Quality Assurance; and 5. The HIPAA‑enforcement Authority within HHS (Office for Civil Rights). I cancelled a follow up appointment as I was enroute and almost there. I needed, but woman who answered did not know directions to the office from 41 and 10 going west. I was told I only had a ten-minute window to be late, yet she said she was going to pull up a map and look. She works there but doesn't know how to get there from the main highway??? Well, I lost it and dropped several F bombs, and said cancel me, I'm going home. In all fairness, I probably owe that woman an apology because my anger didn't start with her. It started in January when I saw Dr. Bhattachargee after an emergency hospitalization for horrific nerve pain. For context, he did back surgery for me a few years ago and was excellent. Excellent surgeon. Welllll this time around was another story. First, he told me he would not do a 2nd surgery because of my "health problems." Mind you, when he operated last time, I weighed over 230 pounds and was insulin and metformin dependent, high blood pressure...you get the idea. But nothing was said then. I am no longer diabetic, lost over 100 pounds, work out at the Y when I'm not in pain, my endo says I'm going to live to 100. When I said, "what health problems?" he replied, "well you smoke." Now I'm not an idiot, I know nicotine can affect healing, but I smoke five cigarettes a day, I'm in my 70s, and I'll be damned if I'm going to stop at this age. The last surgery went absolutely fine, but now? Naturally, he wanted to send me to physical therapy and I complied, and am still going to pt. Been going to pt for 30 years, so what else? What about my pain? He dismisses me with "OH I DON'T PRESCRIBE OPIOID MEDICATIONS. YOU'LL MANAGE." So I was grousing all the way to Appleton, asking myself why I was going again when he refuses to help me anyway. And he has ZERO bedside manner, ignores any attempt to be congenial and is condescending as all get out. What is it about surgeons and their egos?? I'm a lawyer, but I don't act like Jesus. We do what we do, it doesn't make us gods. If you really, seriously need spinal surgery, go have Bhatta do it, he's brilliant. Just don't expect to be treated with respect or compassion. Physostigmine salicylate could have saved my mother's life following POCD. Savage was on rounds at AMC and flatly refused to even consider the possibility. I am a medical researcher, raised by a family of doctors with reputations way above anyone in this area. His refusal is tantamount to terminating my mother's life. My GF is a patient at this *clinic* and is treated with utter disrespect and dismissiveness on a regular basis. They own a monopoly on neuro care in the Fox Valley; therefore feel justified in treating the patient like shit. Rarely do you get a call back from these cretin practitioners - you go to voice mail and die there. No clinic, in my experience, from new York (including NYU) to Hopkins to Cleveland to Mayo could even conceive of treating patients like trash, as these parasite practitioners do. F- read more

I had a great neurologist for many years there but she recently retired and I was placed with Dr. Jenkins. He was no help at all. I understand my migraines are difficult to treat but he would only push Botox repeatedly despite that my insurance wouldn't cover enough of it to make it affordable. When I'd ask about other options or ask questions he made me feel terrible for asking and would argue with everything I'd say. I was no longer comfortable asking anything. I asked to switch providers to one that was more willing to work with me and I'd feel more comfortable with but was told by the scheduling team that no other providers are able to help me with anything other than Botox and would not accept me as a patient. I'll never understand how I went from one I trusted to none willing to work with difficult migraines since they are supposed to be the ones we are referred to for difficult migraines. I've lost all hope in this place. read more

For some background, I had 2 back surgeries in 2012 and after the second one I was much better. Then I started having issues in 2021 or 2022. My treatment plan was an injection in the right L5, S1 (same area as my previous surgery). Unfortunately, I didn't get any relief. By 2023, my pain was bad and affected my right side as well as my left side L5. The pain was on and off 20x a day at a pain level of 5-8 on a scale of 0-10. I saw the nurse/ PA and he suggested getting an MRI and physical therapy. Therapy wasn't helping and MRI showed no main issues but scar tissue, arthritis and degenerative disk. After doing a test to see if I could have an ablation, Dr. determined I wasn't a candidate. I repeatedly asked the nurse practitioner or the Dr. nurse for cortisone shot but was turned down as it didn't work the last time. During this exam, it didn't hurt in the areas it needed to be but I told him typically it does hurt in those areas. It would get triggered if I stand for a few minutes, sit in a chair for a few minutes or bend picking things up etc. It was still a no go on injections. After having a meeting with the doctor in December, he recommended a prescription. After doing research on the drug, I was pretty nervous of the side effects. So, I decided to get a second opinion. The New Dr. reviewed my records and MRI and suggested a cortisone injection would be something that could help and suggested two shots one on each side. I got the shots and within a few days I feel 80% better. I hope it lasts and time will tell. Overall, neuroscience was professional but wished the PA and Doctor at neuroscience, would have listened to me and considered the injection. read more

Terrible customer service for health insurance processing especially with Medicare. My husband has been trying to work with their front office to have records transferred so he can get his disability certified and has had NO help. We are about to lose our house because he is no longer able to work and we have lost his income. I would NOT recommend this group. 1). Dr. Hall: I was prepared to have a procedure. My fiancé took off of work, I was started on antibiotics 2 days prior, and we drove an hour to the facility. When I got there, they informed me that my procedure was canceled, but couldn't tell me why. Dr. Hall then referred me to a different pain doctor in a different network. The whole thing seems shady. 2). Dr. Parnell changed a prescription of mine. I called repeatedly to explain that this prescription was not covered by my insurance. The nurses told me they were aware it wasn't covered by my insurance, and they claimed they told the doctor. Dr. Parnell never got back to me. I will now be going to a different neurologist. Got to admit when I am wrong. I was led in many different directions regarding a health issue. Was skeptical at first after nobody could figure out where my abdomen pain was coming from. I was referred to the Neuroscience Group of Neenah by my primary physician for severe leg pain. After being misdiagnosed by Dr. Carl and Dr. Green for two years and after various treatments I was passed to Dr. Hall. After several interviews with his staff, he decided I should have a "Nerve Ablation". The treatment was successful in relieving the pain for about eight months. So, I contacted his office. I was told that due to Civid-19, no one could see me for two- and one-half months. So, we scheduled the appointment for that time. A few weeks later I was told my insurance would not cover the procedure this time and I would have to sign a waver saying I would cover the cost. I called my insurance company and they said it was covered. They even gave me the billing code. After another two months of going back and forth the Neuroscience Group of Neenah and Dr. Hall agreed to go ahead with the appointment. I met with Dr. Hall prior to the procedure and he sternly explained, "We will NOT do this again. It was scheduled by mistake. "Medicare" will not pay us enough for us to do the procedure." I asked what I would do in the future and he said find some alternative medicine. He performed the procedure, however this time it did NOTHING. No relief at all. I contacted his office and his Nurse Practitioner referred me to UW Health Center in Madison. They could not believe the Neuroscience Group of Neenah and Dr. Hall would not treat me because I was on Medicare. After an examination of my records, (which I had to get from Neuroscience Group of Neenah and it took two weeks to get them), and a consultation, Dr. Segal performed the ablation. It was covered 100%. The difference in the staff and the experience was like night and day. I am now pain free thanks to UW Health. read more

If you have been in any kind of accident use multiple insurances dont bother. They wont submit the second insurance and then not tell you forever. I have a $20 co-pay and called and made sure they had my primary health insurance and my state farm information. Months later they finally say they dont bill multiple insurances at all. I have another appt with Dr Andrew Greene 4 days later and they call and tell me i cant see him because of the $20 copay that hasnt been paid. I submitted it myself but didnt have time for them to pay it because of the short notice. There entire billing department needs some serious customer service training. And they need to review there policies. Only Dr i have ever seen that wont submit to more than 1 insurance in my 41 plus years. And Dr Greene Travels up to my area once a month and they wait to call you the day before your appointment to cancel because he didnt have a full schedule and wasnt worth his time to come up. This has happened on 2 occasions. I am now looking for a Better Dr and Better Group of Drs to deal with. read more

I can't really say anything good about this group. Contacted them for a problem during the Corona virus Safer at Home order. I wasn't able to see anyone in person, but did try an on line visit with a doctor which accomplished nothing at all. I was set up with one of their physical therapists. All this guy did was send me to an internet site with instructions for some stretching. This also had little affect on my condition. I got their bill a couple days ago. Lot's of money for no result, no diagnosis, no treatment, no results. I am glad I left that group and saw a different doctor. read more

I had a spinal fusion preformed yesterday by one of your physicians. The surgeon did a wonderful, however everyone left for the holiday except for my nurse who was super confused because there was no note in my chart that I needed a cervical collar. I ended up going hone without one and then I ended up calling the on call doctor who said I needed to lie in bed until I could get a collar. When I called your office this morning I was told that I couldn't get a cervical collar because they are closed until Monday for the holiday. I am very disappointed because I could be severely injured without one. Luckily I was able to go to the ER of a local hospital and they gave me a collar to wear. read more

In fairness, I was unable to continue treatment with them because, even though I have insurance and was making payments on the balance I owed for their failed treatments, I was told I would have to have a bunch of money up front to continue treatment. So I have had to start over again with a different doctor. They care more about money than their patients in pain. SHAME ON THEM! I truly hope they are not a reflection of their field. read more

Arrogant is the operative word of the entire atmosphere and the surgeon, rebuffed even shaking my hand when I offered it as he entered the room. Who rates the respect? Only themselves. Dr Albino diagnosed and helped me with my nerve hip pain. My previous doctor had me do physical therapy saying it was because I was out of whack. Of course it made it worse and I walked with a cane until Dr Albino took the time to talk, examine and xray. I no longer have pain and have since retired my cane. While I do like the Doctor I see and she has been helpful it is absolutely impossible to get a hold of anyone in this building by phone to refill medications or set up appointments. Just to set up an annual appt I had to call for 5 straight weeks leaving voicemail after voicemail. You are never able to talk to a person when calling. Everything is done by voicemail so you basically have to take an entire day off of work just to be able to wait for a call back. I even went as far as driving an hour to go there to set up the appt. I waited over a half hour and they blew me off. I had to leave since I had to be somewhere else. I still have not been able to set up that appt. words cannot express how irritated I am. I scheduled an appointment for a 2-hour evaluation for my mother at the memory center. The scheduler said there were no appointments available in February so we scheduled for March. We then receive paperwork stating the appointment is for February 14th. Wrong. When I called back to correct THEIR error they said the next available appointment was March 28th. When we showed up today we were told the doctor was not in the office and we would have to reschedule. The next available appointment was on May 16th. The incompetence of the staff is incredible! I will be seeking services with another provider and advise others to do the same. read more

they referred me from pain management to surgery dept., I have to pay a $50 co-pay every time I see them. So when I go to see the surgeon he says I need a new MRI before he will talk about surgery, Do you think they could have told me that before I had to pay another $50. Now I have to have another MRI and then go back and pay another $50 to have the surgeon tell me his opinion. They are all in the same building, you would think they could coordinate care better than this. read more

If I could rate no stars, I would!! First off, they messed up the date, time, and location of my appointment. Thankfully I caught it and called to change it. The receptionist was rude when I pointed out a mistake. Second, I waited for over an hour in the waiting room!! Finally, I have never in my entire life met a more inconsiderate, heartless doctor!! Dr. Bhattacharjee was by far the most horrible person I have ever met. I sat through my entire appointment crying and was not even examined. This was supposed to be a second opinion and all he did was look at images on his computer screen from 6-7 months ago and tell me to live with my irritation!! If my pain was only an irritation, I wouldn't have needed a doctor!! He was no help what-so-ever and didn't even seem to care that I was in tears. He also pretty much called me a liar. He couldn't get me out of the office fast enough. I will never recommend this doctor to anyone and will actually go out of my way to spread the word that he is horrible!!! read more

Really unhappy with the care I've rec'd here. Seems like all the headache specialists I've seen want to do is load me up with pills and see me in 6 months. Have seen 2 doctors, might switch to a third, but shouldn't even need to switch twice. Have had about 16 prescriptions since starting this clinic (roughly 2 years ago), and the whole reason for coming here was to solve the problem, not just get more pills. The first doctor I saw there was pompous, and treated me like I was an idiot, while attempting to write me prescriptions I expressly declined, due to the side effects -despite what non-sufferers might think, people with chronic pain do still have a certain quality of life they would like to maintain...-, so I saw him only twice, and once for botox injections, which ended up being half air (incompetence? I think definitely!) and leaving blisters on my skin for weeks. I could hear the bubbles being injected. The occupational therapy they had me go to every day for 3 months was a joke, did nothing, didn't even seem like it would do anything. After I requested something more effective, different, something other then what was obviously not working, she requested that I no longer see her at all, citing the possibility that my insurance company (VA medical) might not want to pay for ineffective treatment.. I didn't realize worrying about the insurance company and what it would cover is her job, but obviously they care only about the allmighty dollar.. Physical therapy was iffy.. they saw me for several weeks before telling me they could no longer treat me, citing missed appointments, which was not the case, unless they scheduled things I was not told about. Having only 2 physical therapists on staff, I couldn't get an appointment with them anymore after this, so every time my specialist suggested something like bio feedback, I had to decline, due to scheduling and practitioner limitations. The chiropractor I saw briefly had major, dangerous, issues with listening; I told him every single time I went in not to touch my neck, because I crack it myself and he would just hurt me, and every time without warning, he still tried to crack it, failed, and caused me massive pain. I stopped seeing him completely (only chiro they have on staff, it seems) and even one of the nurses I talked to said he's a crap chiropractor, and recommended a place across town. Overall, my experience with this business has been pretty poor, and I m not at all satisfied with the level of care they provide. I would not recommend them ever for anything, and am looking at switching to another provider. read more
