So we arrive early to fill out paperwork. They are all at lunch. They had sent an email to set up a patient portal. She didn't know that. Guess what, not all seniors are tech savvy and she would not have been able to do this herself anyway. Also, I had called the Friday before at 1:15 to find out if she needed to bring anything or fill out anything, but they leave early on Fridays, so filling it out in person is necessary. Then, they won't allow me to wear my face shield which I wear due to a heart condition. I cannot wear the face masks for more than 20 minutes without my heart racing and then passing out. So I have to sit in a hot car, or run the car and pollute the air with exhaust because their office policy is discriminatory to people with other health issues. The face masks they wear don't protect from Covid either. Says it right on the box. Since my mother suffers from some cognitive decline, I need to be in the office to hear what the doctor says. Not possible unless I jeopardize my own health (and not really protect anyone else's health since I'm not sick) and wear a stupid paper mask. Ifbyou can smell anything through a mask, it won't protect you. Odor molecules are larger than virus molecules and they sail right through these masks. They suggest him calling me in the car to tell me her results and information. Nice. I realize they are following an office policy determined by someone else, but I am over people not being able to think for themselves, or thinking one size fits all. I am not usually this unpleasant to people or one to write bad reviews, but this is inexcusable. Not only did they call her Day of to come in early, but the test was an hour long and they only had her come in 30 minutes earlier. Her appointment time of 1pm was missed by 2 whole hours! He did not come in until 3pm!! They said I could come in with proof of a vaccine, which I have not been in any group that qualified for it yet. Also, my body my choice. And showing medical information like that is a violation of HIPAA too. So there it is, vaccine passports to discriminate in addition to other issues. Final note, despite saying he would do a speaker call with me, I had to call him. And he had not even reviewed her tests before she came in and he's had them for a week. Then he waited to call me back until my mom had left his office, which is not what I had requested. Found out that they never told her she would need this test when she made the original appointment. She was told it was to go over her MRI and CAT scans. I am told that the appointment was for the test at one and see him after. Not see him at 1pm. He said it must have been a slight miscommunication. Two and half hours (this includes me waiting to hear from him) is not a slight miscommunication. They really need to get their act together. will not be back if we don't need to go there.

I came to Dr. McWhorter in bad shape. Despite having a regular care physician I had not been…read morereceiving the care and treatment I needed. I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2004 after years of overall body pain, exhaustion, fatigue and weight gain. Other doctors offered me pain medications and antidepressants, and told me to go on low-fat diets and exercise more. I had no energy to exercise at all and felt as if every breath was a struggle. My issues worsened as I tried to follow the instructions of these doctors. Then I heard about Dr. McWhorter. The first day I spoke with Dr. McWhorter he showed extreme concern for my condition. At that point I had also begun having issues remembering even common words. Words like "and," "fork," "left," would escape me. This was not good, and it was affecting my work. He immediately put me on a grain-free, high (good) fat diet. Within a week my cognitive function was back to normal. Within the month I had begun to lose weight. I was able to wake up in the mornings instead of sleeping until past Noon, or falling asleep at my desk. The pain I had lived with for years began to fade. I had more energy and was well on my way to being a healthier version of me. On my next visit I brought printouts from the website of an English doctor who had found 80-some-odd percent of his Fibromyalgia patients were actually thyroid patients with a Reverse T3 imbalance, and they did much better once properly medicated for thyroid disease. Instead of telling me to stop reading things on the internet, Dr. McWhorter said, "You know what? I've heard of that, let's check it." At my follow up visit he confirmed my lab work showed I have the very Reverse T3 imbalance mentioned in the research I had given him. He had also tested my Vitamin D levels ... no other doctor had ever done this for me ... and found I was actually below the accepted normal range. My Vitamin D was so low he started me on 10,000IU daily! It took months to get me in range. With proper, targeted treatments I got even better. I have never had another doctor really listen to me the way Dr. McWhorter does. With most other doctors I have felt as if they were dismissing me as a hypochondriac, and just sending me on my way with a prescription for antidepressants. With Dr. McWhorter, the only prescriptions I take now are my Natural Dessicated Thyroid medicine and Cytomel/T3. I am completely free of antidepressants, and only take OTC pain meds when I have a headache. I honestly hate to imagine where I would be today without this compassionate, diligent doctor.

I started taking them, and within two days, my fever was gone and most of my symptoms resolved. I did not have to be hospitalized. I will not stop taking the Vitamins A, C and D that he recommended, because I feel strongly that they were very helpful. Incidentally, two months after I recovered, Dr Fauci came out publicly to recommend Vitamins C and D--Dr McWhorter is ahead of the curve. I will be consulting him in the future for any other health issues.
