From start to finish, this office was fantastic. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, starting with how easy it was to request and confirm my appointment, all the way through check-in, the nurse, and the provider. I had an ingrown toenail that was becoming painful, and I was able to book an appointment online that same morning, which was such a relief. The process was quick and seamless. Dr. Hurless was especially wonderful. He was very personable, kind, and patient with my anxiousness about the procedure. He took the time to explain everything and made me feel completely at ease. The office itself was very organized and spotless, which always makes a big difference. Overall, a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone. read more

Do not go here unless you have all the time in the world to spare. I wasted hours of my time on this place. (Researching the Doctor I wanted to see, filled out all of my paperwork before my appointment ,and then drove 40 minutes one-way.) Just to get there and have SEVEN people waiting in front of me at my appointment time. I waited 45 minutes and had to leave to get back to work. When I told the receptionist I had to go and would not rescheduling because I couldn't miss another 3 hours of work for a CHANCE I might see the doctor - She said there was nothing they could do and they had no control over when someone would get in, regardless of appointments. read more

**Toxic staff has priority over patients** I can't comment on this doctors (dr john boyd) medical capabilities because we weren't able to get that far due to a toxic environment with their office manager. Very confrontational and classic garbage. I can say that if this doctor performs surgery in the same manner he manages his staff, he won't be around much longer. I wish I had listened to the other 1 star reviewers. I had an Insurance related issue and they were pretty inflexible and unapologetic when they got my info wrong. I left to call my insurance company and I came back to an empty front desk and a loud rude conversation from a back room about me that I clearly wasn't meant to hear. It made me question the professionalism of the entire practice as my insurance issue really wasn't that crazy. I waited for the receptionist to return to her desk and we were ultimately unable to resolve the issue. I left really unhappy with my experience. I will seek care elsewhere. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before going to the Gallatin office. If I could give negative stars I would. It was a stressful and time consuming experience. My first visit was fine. My husband was with me. The doctor and the receptionist that was filling in that day were friendly and professional. They ordered me some shoe inserts. I left with the foot pain. When the inserts came in I received a call from a lady that told me that I could come in anytime before 10:30 this morning to pick them up. When I arrived at about 10:20 I told the receptionist that wears two pair of glasses at the same time my name and that I was picking up inserts. She leaned over the counter and creepily whispered "there's an emergency go sit down!" I said, "no, I am here just to pick up the inserts." She got belligerent and told me that I would wait! I said, "no, this isn't a doctor visit I am just pick..." She interrupted me and told me I would wait! I went to my car and dialed the number that I had for their office and reached a woman named Heather. She called the receptionist at this office. When she came back on with me she said that I needed to see a nurse to sign a form. When I went back in the rude woman that wears two pair of glasses at the same time was very nasty. She barked at me while pointing a finger, "Sit!" and then "follow me!" It went quickly with the nurse. I went back to the counter where the rude receptionist was to pay. I asked her how much it would be. I already knew the cost because I had asked the woman that had called to tell me that the inserts were in. It was suppose to cost $46.27. While I was paying with our credit card she decided to hike it up to $456.27. When she slapped the receipt on the counter I immediately asked her if it cost what it said the total was $456.27. She looked at me like she was now even madder that I caught her stealing from us before I left the office. She just sat down and did nothing. I couldn't believe her. The nurse had put the inserts into my shoes. I was debating with myself if I should take them out and have her credit back the money. The doctor came out and stood by me. I said hi to him. She wouldn't let me talk to him. She talked to him very slowly accusing me of whatever came to her mind but left out that she was trying to steal over $410.00 from us. She even took one pair of the glasses off. I guess to appear more normal to the doctor? ‍ When she was done telling him what a horrid person that I am, I told him that she is very rude and she just stole over $410.00 from us. I told her that I wanted it credited back to our credit card immediately. She said very slowly in an attempt to be condescending, "the computer is slow and I apologized to you." She did not apologize. I went outside and called my credit card company. She had over charged us but because the doctor came up she credited it back. I canceled my next appointment at this office. If you are suffering with foot pain consider going somewhere else with a friendly and honest reputation. My foot still hurts. read more

Anyone using this place, I would suggest you get your payment obligations in writing before they see you. I went paid my $50 co-pay plus over $50 for X-rays which was disclosed up front. Long story short, I get a bill for over $300 a few weeks later. Turns out this uncovered item was related to X-rays. I thought I paid for X-rays up front !! No, this extra was for them to "read" the x-rays as opposed to "take" the X-rays. What a scam. I would suggest you use someone else but if you do decide to use them get EVERYTHING in writing so you don't open your mail weeks later and get sticker shock. They scammed me for over $300 but this was penny wise and dollar dumb because now they lost at least one customer forever. Oh, and the cortisone injection they gave me for my Plantar's was next to useless. Totally ineffective. read more

Over price....up selling....more concerned with selling more goods and services than actually helping you. And of course I needed to come back for X-rays and a new visit. I went elsewhere and got compassion and great treatment with X-rays for less than their office visit that did nothing for me. Your foot pain won't get any better and you will feel additional pain in your checkbook when they're done with you! I went in for foot pain and was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and was given a steroid shot, oral steroids, Celebrex, a night cast, "insoles" and a heel lift. All on the first visit! The steroids were the worst and provided no relief, only terrible side effects. The insoles which were $40 were given to me and were told that they were better than anything that can be bought over-the-counter. She then told me to go to the new balance store and just buy some tennis shoes to put them in. While I was in the waiting room I listened to a nurse ask another nurse about when their over the counter sales bonus checks would be in. I should've run when I heard that, how unprofessional! When I left I paid my co-pay, and then I also paid for the insoles and the lift that was sold to me. While I was in with the doctor she told me that my insurance did not cover the insoles and the lift, but that it did cover the night splint she was giving me. One month later I received a bill in the mail for $112 to cover the night splint. They charged my insurance $300 for this boot. When I called the billing agency to ask them about it I was put on the line with a supervisor and she told me that they can charge the insurance company whatever they want, it could be 300 or 3000 and then what is allowable will come back. I told her it didn't matter what was charged, you should charge what it cost and if the doctor tells me something is covered I should not be on the hook for it. I realize that all insurance companies are different, but if the doctor tells you one item is covered and the other item is not, and then they turn around and charge you for that item that is downright deceptive. Never mind the fact they are charging $300 for this item that can easily be ordered on the Internet for less than $50. In my opinion, Dr. Kumar does not really care about her patients and she is only in to see as many as she can. She has a generic Band-Aid approach and does not take taking a general interest in fixing her patients. Stay away read more

I received services in December 2016 on 2 occasions. Neuhaus is considered a specialist, so I was prepared to pay my copay. The receptionist said I did not owe anything. Next visit. Same story. March 2017- mailed invoice for $100. I pay online. Then May 2017 invoice for $40. I'm a little annoyed because it's for December and they are just now mailing it and I wait to pay in case any other invoices come in. July 5- sent to collections for $40 (based on first invoice) on a 35 day old debt. Anyone that is so cavalier with their customer's credit without any other warning or contact on a delinquent invoice other than the original invoice is not worthy of my business. Get your shit together if you want to get paid! Collect the copays at time of services rendered like the rest of the medical community!! Instead of being shady and sending nickels and dimes to collections when a simple phone call or past due invoice would have sufficed! read more

Dr. Kumar is excellent and provides the best care there is. She took her time to listen to the entire problem with my ankle and concerns. I live closer to the Smyrna office and she said it would be okay to do the follow-up there, but I loved her demeanor and would drive further to have her as my podiatrist. read more
