First off, this isn't the location of Netto that I wanted to review, but the one at Roskildevej 158-162 does not exist in Yelp's opinion.
Anyway, I can probably assume that what I say about any Netto is accurate for most of the stores.
These are deeply depressing supermarkets. Visitors and residents from more service-oriented countries both East and West often compare Danish supermarkets to those of the Soviet era, and Netto (and Rema and Aldi) lives up to that sad comparison. How is it even possible that Danes find this supermarket even remotely acceptable?
It's grim. Many locations are filthy, absolutely filthy. Some are not filthy, but they still look terribly disorganized and they have very little to offer. Often the lines are insanely long at both the checkout counters and the bottle return, and nobody questions how that could possibly be when they're paying the highest prices in Europe for very mediocre groceries.
Often the shelves are bare or really picked over, and again, nobody seems to find that odd, incompetent or unacceptable.
All in all, this is one depressing chain in a list of depressing supermarket chains. Raise your game--this is embarrassing! read more
