But we also found some delightful little shops. It's a great place to grab some Highlands and Scottish mementos. But the highlight for us was a place that provided frameable family heritage writeups with associated crests, etc. based on family name. It was a wonderful gift for our daughter-in-law, whose roots are Scottish. This place was not just for Scottish names but for many other European names as well. For food options, there were several tempting choices, but Bad Girl Bakery offered good sandwiches and baked goods, while Salt and Fire had some good veg pita options. If you're in Inverness, this retail complex is worth a stop.

Do not miss stepping into their Food and Drink Hall. When we were there, it was bustling with activity. Basically, it is a large food court that you would find in a shopping mall in the States only the Food and Drink Hall is better in my opinion. First thing, we did was to try and find a spot to sit. The place was packed! A kind gentleman gave up his table for my wife and I. Thank you good Sir!! There were about a dozen food vendors to choose from. We chose to try Blazin Pizza. What an awesome choice!!! Definitely the best pizza that I have ever eaten in the entire United Kingdom!! We visited July 2024, and they have probably left the Victorian Market by now. The owners were looking for someone to take over their spot at the Food and Drink Hall. Hopefully, the business that takes over makes great pizza too!! Wish we had more time to explore the Victorian Market. We did not have the time to spare to see all that it had to offer. Til next time!

We were happy with what we bought. Prices seemed fair compared to the other stores we stopped at. Granted we only went to a couple of other shops. Because of this one time experience, I can recommend Caledonian gifts & souvenirs to tourists like myself.

I wanted to take back some whiskey marmalade (and it's another story that it got impounded at the airport as was over the liquid limit) and I also found a great plough-house chutney!! Very affordable, cost around £6 and very pleased as was looking for local produce exactly like this, which the local Marks & Spencer's didn't stock. Oh, also check out the whisky flavored condom at the front checkout of the store! There was also a clotted cream fudge, but it was too big a size, so didn't purchase. Overall however, very pleased with the variety of local food that was available at this shop, and if you are looking for good quality and relatively inexpensive food items to take back as souvenirs, then definitely recommend coming & checking out this store. PS - previous reviews talk about a Highland Kilt Museum - I must have been totally oblivious as didn't see any signs for this attraction when was at this shop in March 2019. Yelp 87/ 2019

American Tourist here…read more Here is the racist or possibly just rude conversation that happened as we entered the restaurant. Me: Table for 2 please Old man (i assume the owner): {blank stare}...sorry I can't help you i'm thinking this guy is kidding and chuckle a little and pause for his reply He then points around the restaurant and says we don't have space. I look around and there are like plenty of open tables I look back at the old guy and he pauses...and says they are ALL reserved. queue awkward silence....now everyone is staring at us and i'm like ok let's GTFO. So, maybe we completely misread the situation but it seemed to us that a racist guy basically said "we don't serve your kind here." The couple who…read moreruns this restaurant are old and a bit awkward, yes, but my husband and I had a delightful lunch. They're kinda slow, but be patient. You're in the country. Relax. They'll get you what you need. The langoustines were delicious and perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. I can't remember what my husband had, but he liked it; it might have been a venison dish. I really enjoyed their selection of Fenitman's sodas. It was a great find, and I left feeling quite satisfied. Call ahead for a reservation, because they get booked up really quickly. As soon as we got off the boat, I called to make a reservation and we high-tailed it over there before everyone else figured out that it was the closest place to eat.

They carry a ton of different merchandise made in Scotland. You can find everything from clothes to food and everything in between. Unfortunately, we only had about 30 minutes to explore the store. It was not enough time to find great deals. The products we were interested in were priced higher than other stores we had visited that day. We ended up purchasing nothing. There were staff present, but no one assisted us. If someone had, then we probably would have bought some goods. Although, we were unsuccessful in finding good deals, you may be lucky. The gentleman at the counter was really very nice and friendly, but overall I was disappointed. Yelp 70/ 2019
