I have no idea why this contractor had no reviews on social media! Left us concerned, so I called…read morereferences who raved about their work. Since they were available when we needed them and they were very accommodating on phone we decided to give them a shot and cross fingers. This was a major and risky 3 large tree removal job tight between two houses. They took amazing care of the properties and brought in significant equipment to make the job as easy as possible, for a not-easy job! They not only performed skillful and flawlessly, but they went as far as preserving very close ornamental trees! It top it off, they not only cleaned up all of the mess from both properties, including decks, etc. but they also blew all of the leaves from each yard and took it all away!! I must say they are experts at what they do, their skills were amazing, a show for anyone watching! Maybe next time we sell tickets to watch their amazing show!! Lol Thank you guys!

These guys are the absolute best. You cannot do any better…read more We recently had 2 large oak trees hit our house during a storm on 7/4/26. Almost half our Newtown home was destroyed and/or damaged. As soon as it happened, I knew exactly who to call. Newtown Arbor Services (NAS) had done work for us several years ago, removing several very huge trees. They have the massive equipment, and the know-how to do great work in a expeditious way. NAS showed up almost immediately, and worked to button-up the house against deluging rain, before they were even ready to remove the trees. After the storms abated, they showed up with a large crew and all sorts of equipment. They deftly maneuvered their equipment in and removed the trees. They then again tarped the damaged house to make it rain tight. NAS were the only people that came to rescue us in our time on need. No one else had any sense of urgency. They did a great job. We cannot recommend them enough.

No one showed up on the scheduled day/time. If communication and followup are poor, I have low expectations for their actual work. I ended up going with Hilario at HD Tree-- did an estimate same-day, price quote was reasonable, and work was completed professionally one week later.

It's coincidental that I choose today to write a review of Pulla Tree Service, knowing that…read morenumerous homeowners throughout Connecticut will more than likely need a tree service early next week. Pulla is an exceptional Tree Service Company. I assure you that no job is too big for Juan and his crew. We just finished having extensive tree work performed on our property in Oxford, Connecticut. We received quotes from three reputable tree service companies and ultimately chose Pulla Tree Service for the job. Our decision to select Pulla was not only based on the quote and what it included, but more so for Juan's knowledge and expertise in the field. He spent time with us, answered our questions, gave us suggestions, and assured us that his company would be able to perform the job...And our property needed a lot of complicated tree work. It was something we knew we needed done for many years. Altogether Pulla Tree Service cut down 12 trees and did heavy pruning on 9. Our trees were huge and their branches extended over our house, our driveway, and our pool. Juan's crew of five men was outstanding. Their physical strength, their skill sets, and attention to safety were top-notch. We watched from our windows and it was obvious that the team had spent years synchronizing their roles. The tree crew was very respectful of our property and spent a lot of time blowing and hauling away debris. From the cutting, to the grinding, and the removal of the the trees they spent three days on our property. We are extremely pleased with the results and look forward to having Pulla Tree Service return for some more pruning. We highly recommend Juan and Pulla Tree Service. Juan is a man of exceptional character. Dan Arpie Martha Combs September 26, 2026

Paul Kallmeyer of Acer Tree Service did a wonderful, meticulous, timely job in removing six trees…read morefrom our property as well as trimming back overgrown smaller trees and underbrush. The result was an open, neater landscape with a lot more sunshine and space for the long unused vegetable garden. He arrived when he said he would to review the work. As we walked around the property he listened to what I wanted, made very good suggestions for things I had not considered and gave me a feeling of confidence that he knew the subject matter. He and his team arrived precisely on time the day of the removal. They trimmed, cut and wood chipped all the trees in a very orderly fashion which made me feel the job was always under control. When they were finished Paul and I briefly walked around to review the results. Excellent work! Hardly a leaf or twig left on the ground and a new, beautiful, bigger backyard! Thank you Paul and team!
