My wife died 3 years ago and the A-HOLES at Neptune Society are STILL SENDING MAIL ADDRESSED TO HER, when I called to have her name removed from their mailing list i had to state her name at least 3 times and spell it out even though the A-HOLES obviously already have that information . We used Pacific Northwest cremation & funeral for both my wife's and daughter's cremation and would NEVER even consider Neptune Society for ANYTHING. THEY are the ambulance chasers of the cremation industry and have no shame and certainly no respect for both the deceased and surviving family members. read more

On Monday February 20th 2022, I received a call from the nursing home that my grandmother had hours to days to live. I called Neptune society as they handled my grandfather's wishes back in 1991. I spoke with a gentlemen that was very helpful and efficient. He stated the price was $2100. I said ok. she does that night and they took care of it. Upon receiving the paperwork I saw i was charged for optional services I did not need. Gram wanted to be scattered and they charged $1200 for a fake wooden bill and thank you cards. I talked with one of their directors and stated this was predatory and not at all what i or gram wanted. she was going to check with the noise office and get back to me. a week later and no response. take the ripping me off out of the equation and their services would have been a 5 star. read more

My mother passed away and we wanted direct cremation. I contacted the Neptune Society in Spokane and Spoke with Lucus. He was very kind, accommodating and professional. He explained the process and answered all our questions. We felt very comfortable with him. We were able to pay for the services over the phone and they started the paperwork and process right away. HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE! This company will completely screw you over in the lowest point of your life. Our dad passed away and had a small balance on his account and the money was just "gone." No cremation. Nothing. They told us to mail the cremation box back (we did it) and told us a refund of what he paid would come, but then after we did this they said "there is nothing on his trust." Zero credit for the expensive box after they got it back too. So all of his money is completely gone. They will do nothing to make this right. All of these horrible reviews are 100% legit. They make money off of these deaths and do not care about ever making anything correct for a family. Read all of their responses to these clients, alllll excuses as to why they didn't pay, but is that what you would want to deal with when your loved one has passed? Nope! Trust me! They are not the only cremation company at all. Total scam!!! read more

They seemed to care about my feelings and I appreciated their assistance. There were a couple documents missed in the beginning but everything was taken care of in the end. She walked me through everything. My husband and I had spoken candidly regarding our wishes to expend as little as possible in death. Felicia completely honored that giving me the least expensive option without trying to talk me into spending more. She also patiently explained the process as well as giving me information including a checklist of what I should do with his passing. For years my parents talked about getting a prepaid plan from Neptune. My grandmother did...from Neptune. When my dad passed away, he was away from home so I wasn't sure what to do and then I remembered Neptune. I called them as I was traveling to get there. They took care of everything. Sam was amazing. She kept in constant contact and was so soothing to speak with. They picked up dad's body from the hospital and took him to the funeral home to be cremated. Unfortunately, there were a few hiccups with getting a death certificate and getting dad cremated while the family was still in town but that wasn't their fault. Sam was a bulldog in getting things done. She was able to send the death certificate overnight to the lawyer's office when it was ready and she was able to ship dad's ashes to me as well. Sam was very respectful and reverent the entire time. My sister and I really tried to make her laugh as much as possible too! Thanks for taking care of us. read more

Last June my family took a huge unexpected and lost my sister. She had received a transplant some 16 years ago and we knew that she had a very limited time but we had thought in the next three years not as soon or as sudden. I called and spoke with Samantha Gothard, she was very caring and provided me with superior service that my entire family truly appreciated. This experience of superior service and the personal professional nature of Samantha motivated my wife and I both to make our final arrangements with Neptune Society again Samantha Gothard was on her game came to our home and quickly and professional walked us through the entire process. I absolutely do not recommend using this facility. I dealt with constant confusion and misinformation. I was not told to bring a photo of my mother with me to my appointment. Therefore, her cremation was not completed on time and her ashes were not present for the funeral. I was then told to bring in an urn, when I had already purchased one. I was called several weeks after her passing and asked if I would be interested in having her cremated. I was told they would contact social security to notify them of her passing. Three weeks later Social Security told me that had in fact not been notified. Very disorganized and chaotic. Not exactly what you need in a time of grieving. When speaking to the manager, excuses were the prevailing attitude. Look elsewhere in your time of need. read more

My mom was not aware that there would be a delay with receiving her husbands ashes after she requested a necklace (to hold some ashes). My mom passed on 8/12/20 and I still (three weeks later) have yet to hear if her body has been cremated, where the ashes are if she has, and if any of the business: contacting SS and death certificate has been completed. I've called and emailed to no avail. The info Kala had sent to me via docusign had the wrong date of death and my name spelled wrong. I would NOT recommend this company. I just want my mom's remains, for goodness sake. read more

My father passed on 02/10/2021. The Spokane office came and took away his body and was very attentive to the process of applying to the state for the necessary paperwork to get permission to take care of the cremation. They filed quickly for the needed death certificates and was able to quickly get all the required sign-offs to order all the copies I needed. They received the copies from the state exactly 1 week after my father passed and advised me that hey would send them the next day via Express-mail. 1 week later I spoke to Lucas in the office and they were still in his office. He promised me he would send them immediately. That was on February 24. Today is Feb 28 and I still haven't received them. I had been told they were really bad at getting the death certificates to you, but I thought that with the initial service and the continued communication that they were wrong. Unfortunately they were right. The death certificates are vital to closing accounts and the probate process and, at least in this instance, the Spokane office was, at the very best, lackadaisical in the discharge of their duties. I opened the envelope and discovered it was from the Neptune Society. I find this offensive and disgusting. I wouldn't use your services even if someone else paid for it! My mom and dad prepaid for all their needs, so that my sister and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. When my dad passed away, we called them to let them know. They asked for a number to call us back if need be. We gave them my mom's cell number, because my dad had passed in the house and we didn't have access to the landline phone. They called a little bit later with a question....but they called my sister's cell phone (not sure how they even HAD her number!) and she was returning from a vacation and didn't know my dad had passed. They called her and asked something about "his body" and she was across the country by herself and had no idea. When we called after this to express our upset, they were cold and uncaring. My family recently lost my father unexpectedly. At our first visit to the Neptune society on Francis we met our director Samantha. Samantha took the time to talk with us, answer all of our questions and made sure we understood what to expect in the days leading up to my father funeral. Samantha ensured that we had my dad's obituary in the paper, funeral flyers prepped and ready for the service which was so helpful. She not only answered our questions and took care of the business side of the arrangements-Samantha helped to support the family emotionally- her kindness, warmth, compassion and hugs really made an impact on my family. Samantha would also call to check up us , knowing that she cared helped us start our healing process- Sam was there the entire time, she made herself available to listen to my children tell her stories about their papa and to offer up a hug when it was needed. Both of my parents had pre-arranged cremation agreements with Neptune society and had given me the paperwork, urns, etc. in advance. It made it so much easier. A simple phone call and I didn't have to worry about anything else. Their compassion was excellent. My dad died at Sacred Heart hospital at 6:30 pm and the next morning at 10 a.m., I called Neptune to make sure Dad had been placed in their care and to see what they needed from me (Hospital had the information at the time of his death and told me they would call). I learned the hospital had not even called them yet - he was still in the hospital morgue the following day. Neptune immediately called the hospital and got things rolling and kept me apprised and eased my concerns. They took care of Social Security Notification, gave me information about my Dad's Veterans benefits too (flag, gravesite, etc) My mother died recently, 2 years later at home under Hospice care (90 miles from Spokane) and they arranged with local funeral home to come to the house for her. Everything went very smoothly and gave me peace of mind. I picked up their ashes about 10 days after they died. and they will be interred at a Veteran's Cemetery later this year. I would recommend Neptune Society. The Spokane staff were very helpful and kind in both instances. It's so difficult to lose your parents, even at an advanced age, but Neptune made it easier. read more

I personally experienced three times the procedures of Neptune. Both my parents had prepaid their cremation packages. First on August 11, 2010 when my father passed. One phone call and response was quicker than I had expected. They treated my father with respect and explained what they were going to do. Second time was on December 26, 2010 when my mother passed. Once again one phone call and the response was very good. The third time was February 9, 2016 when my life time friend passed. One phone call and all was well. Each time Neptune representatives treated my loved ones with respect. The business end of these events was also easily done. All went so well I bought a Neptune package for my husband and myself as did my brother and his wife. I have all good things to say about Neptune. It was the easiest ordeal of this kind in my life. The staff in the office are very caring and sensitive to our emotions. We have a total of nine prepaid packages with Neptune. I encourage anyone to check them out. It is comforting to know arrangements are made and the stress level on the family is somewhat lessened. read more
