It was empty inside, but that may have been because it was only just lunchtime. I ordered my chips, which were quite cheap and the guy that served me was very pleasant and asked me if I was having a nice day. I think that when the staff are nice it always makes a difference and I am more than likely to return because of this. My chips were quickly served to me as they had some already ready and I left the place so that I could eat them elsewhere. When I did get down to eating them I was impressed, they were yummy and hot and all I wanted. Overall, great chips and worth a visit!

Sea Waves Fish Bar is probably my favourite chip shop in these parts. The chips are nice and crispy, the fish is great but it is the doner kebabs that are incredible. I can't even attempt to intellectualise or rationalise this, there's just something magical about the way Sea Ways combine cheap sheep off-cuts, lettuce, pitta and mint sauce. The service is speedy and with a smile. The prices are reasonable. Oh, and did I mention? The kebabs are incredible.

Whenever I am in town and am looking for somewhere to go for a bite, I often come here. I have fish and chips as always but I do have the odd pasty now and then. Prices are not too bad and I do find this place to be very busy particularly during the weekdays when school children are on their lunch break. But then again that does not surprise me and it does not surprise me that this fish and chip shop is quite popular. Staff are top class and the shop itself is very clean. Providing there is not a queue, you will not be waiting long for your food and savour the food whilst it lasts. I'm coming back here without question.

The man that served us both was so helpful - my husband ordered Egg, Chips & Beans, and I dilly-dallied over whether I should have a chicken curry with chips. They almost always cook the fish fresh so it is hot with crispy batter. You have to wait around five minutes but I'd rather wait and have good quality than quickly have bad quality! Found out when I got there it is take away only. I got the mini combination. A piece of cod, fries and can of Coke for only 3 GBP. Great value! The fries were average but the fish was actually the best I have had while in the UK this trip. I have tried it in several places and been disappointed. I personally don't like the skin left on one side which many places did. It can sometimes leave a fishy taste I think. There was no skin at Masons...the batter was very light and crispy and the fish was cooked just right. A+ Masons! The fries may have tasted better if I had eaten there....after carrying home they were not hot and that makes a huge difference with fries for me. They weren't bad...just not special in any way. He said the fries were a small order but it was a very big order for me....could have shared for sure. The fish was a nice size as well. I would go back....and probably will before I leave.
