I was initially referred to Dr. Karam at Nephrology Associates after meeting him during a hospital stay after going into kidney failure due to kidney stone complications and was very unhappy with him. Dr. Karam made me feel like a number and rushed me out of my initial appointment instead of taking the time to sit an explain my situation or discuss any type of treatment plan. My initial visit with Dr. Herron was a completely different experience and I was extremely happy with the entire process. It was easy to schedule an appointment, her staff was friendly, I was seen quickly, and Dr. Herron made me feel like she actually cared about me. She took the time to answer all my questions, explained my situation so I was able to fully understand everything, and started me on a treatment plan to maintain my kidney function. It clearly states" call the office before appt to have paperwork for labs faxed". So I did not have paperwork. Called back, they were sending info to Lab, but could not accurately tell me WHICH lab?? Finally I search and find a the Path lab. Call lab, have't heard of me of Dr Studdard's office. Call Dr Studdard's office, it is in the "system". I leave work and go to lab. Still no information on system. Call Dr's office they assure me the info was sent. I have canceled my appointment, I have no faith in their system working. Oh and if I need my records, I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to pick them up. Thanks a lot!

She listens to any concern and takes plenty of time to discuss any questions that I may have and I have never not once being in her care ever felt rushed or dismissed. She has most definately gone above and beyond with my care and assisted with things I have never had a doctor care about. I absolutely could not have made it this far in my medical journey without her being my biggest and best advocate. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! My mom went in for abdominal surgery pain. The only treatment given…read moreto her was pain management and after 2 days fluids. She was in the hospital for 4 days. After 2 CT Scans, fevers, and elevated white blood count she was diagnosed with the Noris Virus. Which was the wrong diagnosis. We went home to Houston after she was released and went directly to the hospital and after running there own CT scan and blood work they found her colon to be clogged and needs antibiotics and a colonoscopy. Do not bring your loves one here it was the worst experience. I questioned why she kept getting fevers and her blood count increasing and they couldn't give us a straight answer.
