Happy 2nd tattoo visit here. Jess takes your ideas and turns them into incredible art. She is great to collaborate with. She does everything to make sure you are as comfortable as possible

Updated photos of Jess's work she has completed on me. I am proud to have her work on my skin!

Anyone who knows me, knows I am extremely picky when it comes to picking a tattoo artist and a shop. Let's all remember, this ink is permanent! I often drive down riverside on my daily commute to work and have always noticed this shop. After months of researching and reading reviews I finally decided to contact Josh. To my surprise Josh responded very quickly and was very interested in the work I wanted to have done. I shortly met up with him for a consultation and i knew he was my artist for this piece! Very approachable and down to earth artist! On the day of my tattoo I arrived early with Josh still prepping his station. He invited me back and showed me his hand drawn idea of what I wanted. It looked amazinggg! We began and four hours later I was finish! He's very easy to work with and very professional. The shop itself is very clean with a lot of great artwork scattered around. I was also able to talk with another artist briefly named Jessica, she also does amazing work and was very friendly while we chatted during a 5 min pause for the cause break. This shop has great vibes all around and it's definitely shows through the artists and owner who represent this shop! Looking forward to my next visit! Salute!

This review is for the amazing Josh Turpin. I had a consultation with Josh a couple weeks back hoping to get a clock on my forearm. After many failed attempts to find a decent artist, I came across Reclamare on Yelp and read many amazing reviews about Josh and his work. When I came in for a consultation, he was very friendly and open to my suggestions about my tattoo. He had his own suggestions for making it look more detailed and personalized to what I was trying to achieve. I came in this morning for my appointment and it went amazing well. Josh showed me the most beautiful sketch and we got started right away. He was very detail oriented and took his time making my tattoo look amazing. I'm in love with my tattoo and Josh's work. You can definitely tell that Josh loves what he does. I couldn't be any happier with my first tattoo experience. If you are looking for an amazingly talented artist, Josh is your dude! I will definitely be coming back!

I can't even begin to say how pleased I am with my experience working with Jessica White @Reclamare! 5 Stars isn't nearly enough! I knew prior to booking, the caliber of artist she was, so I was confident I would be pleased with the final product. But boy did she blow me away! I absolutely adore it. Tattoo aside, I think what was so great about working with her was just how REAL she was. I was a little nervous going in, but not long after starting our session I felt like I was getting coffee with a friend. She is just a joy! After getting this piece, I honestly don't think I would consider going to anyone else. Many many thanks!

WORTH THE WAIT! So so happy with my beautiful and super detailed tattoo. The entire process was amazing and perfect. They are appointment only so you have to ring a bell for them to let you inside. I loved that there was no distractions for the duration of my appt. Once inside, I scanned a barcode on my phone which brought up my consent forms that I filled out electronically from my own device. Easy peasy! The lobby is so cute with a leather couch and a small library. The entire place is covered in really cool artwork. I loved the entire vibe of the shop. They have black out curtains so you can't see outside and outsiders can't see inside (this was personally my favorite thing). Music was playing softly the whole time and I noticed air filter type machines. Shop was super clean but also so welcoming. Jess was A M A Z I N G. We chit chatted the entire time, mostly over our love and knowledge of Disney. She was so easy to get along with and I felt like she was an old friend. I looooove my tattoo and cannot wait for my next one!

So I need to get some better pics of my arm to post on here still, but I wanted to leave a review for Reclamare. Except for a brief nine month hiatus while I was pregnant, I got tattooed here almost every month for the last two years, by Chris Yoakam. I have so many positive things to say about the shop, and the people who work here. First, Chris is a completely awesome guy and (I hesitate writing this because I don't want him to get super booked up and not be able to get me in) a badass tattooer. He is so fun to talk to while you're sitting there for hours getting tattooed and he had great ideas with how to color and piece together my sleeve. I should've started with this, but I am absolutely in love with the work I got done! I've been tattooed by some creepy dudes in my day, and Chris may be totally comfortable and like I was family. The rest of the crew at the shop is awesome too, I had the chance to talk with each of them through my many visits and 1). always felt super welcome there, 2). saw consistent, high quality work from each of the artists there. I have been in lot of different tattoo shops and this one is by far my favorite; the experience here is completely different. The shop is gorgeous and so clean- Corey, the owner, thoughtfully spent time really making the shop an amazing space- it literally looks like an art gallery and not your typical tattoo parlor. It's beautiful, it's inviting, the people who work here are inviting as well, it's my favorite place to go when I have a day for myself. I can't wait to start working on my other arm!!

Such an awesome shop! They were very welcoming and attentive. Low did my tattoo and I'm blown away! It' s perfect. Such an amazing artist. Very humble too. It's refreshing. If you need work done go here.

I came here yesterday afternoon to get a piece (Phoenix) done by Corey. I had loved Corey's work for a while, but I knew that scheduling with him was hard to do since he's high demand. When he announced that his books were open, I shot him an email asap. About a week or two later, I received a response from him and set up a consultation. He was super easy to schedule with, also. The day of my consultation I was a little nervous to be meeting with him face to face as I didn't know what to expect. To my surprise, he was so nice and personable! We went over the tattoo in detail and he also took measurements of my arm to know exactly how big it could be. The day of my tattoo, it was such a smooth process. He brought over the stencil to make sure it fit exactly as we had envisioned and then set up his station. Once we got started, he was extremely easy and talked to me quite a bit about how he got started in tattooing, what he wants to do in the future, etc. All of this really helped me feel at ease while getting tattooed and it actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting, pain wise. The session took about 3 hours total and I can't wait to go back for the shading and coloring. Corey is a dream to work with! If you have the opportunity to get work done by him, take it!

Fern, by Dave Barnitz

Had my first tattoo done here, yesterday, by Dave Barnitz, after my daughter recommended the place and we dropped in for a consultation with Corey Bernhardt on Monday. Dave listened to what I wanted and came up with a beautiful drawing. It's elegant, simple, classy -- exactly what I was going for. I originally thought I might go with black-only ink but Corey suggested I consider color to reinforce the design. I'm so glad I did -- the color work is what I love most about it and it definitely makes the piece pop. Cost: It's about what I'd pay for a piece of original art in my home. There was no charge for the consultation or drawing; I was only charged for the time I spent under the gun. Maybe that is normal, but I would have paid more and still felt I was being treated fairly. The studio is so nice, I was made to feel exceptionally comfortable, and honestly it didn't even hurt as bad as I expected it to. Most importantly though, I am so happy with this beautiful symbol on my arm. Reclamare is an excellent place to get your first tattoo!

I first met Jessica Ann White (hereafter referred to as JAW) when she was working at Side Show. Some of my friends got tattooed by her and they were very happy with her vibe and the pieces she did. I was intrigued by her art, her ethereal and almost anime-like female forms. So when I wanted a large side piece of Ghost in the Shell's Motoko Kusanagi, JAW was the girl for the job. JAW's new shop Reclamare is recently opened and is still a bit sparse, but has potential as a nice slice of awesome. There's vaulted ceilings and plenty of space for pretty art, gallery shows, Second Saturday events, and of course the happy buzz of multiple tattoo needles. The space she used was a section of wood flooring, illuminated with umbrella lights. I felt like I was on a set and my tat was the star ;) When it comes to the actual tattooing, JAW has a light touch and speed that doesn't sacrifice quality. She handled my design's intriciate linework quite well, even the tiny details. It's almost a week after my first session and my large side tattoo is healing nicely. I can't wait for my second session, when the Major gets colored in. Stay tuned, Yelpers!

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with this tattoo! Prior to my appointment, I've been on the search for a good tattoo shop for over a year. I knew what I wanted and just needed to find an artist who's style could emulate it. After narrowing, I finally made an appointment with David Barnitz. Though I have one other small tattoo, this was my first big piece. David gets just as excited as you do about your tattoo and really wants the outcome to be better than you expected. He responded to my emails quickly and took any feedback that I had about the initial drawing. While I was getting tattooed, he even checked on me and asked how much longer I could go and what the price was as we went along. Amazing art by an amazing artist. I cannot wait until my next piece and it will definitely be with David!

Cierra R.

I came here for tattoo work from Jessica White. This shop has a completely different vibe from any other shop I've ever been in. All the artists were down to earth and nice. The shop itself is absolutely spotless and well organized. There wasn't loud and anxiety inducing music blasting like most shops. My artist Jessica, is hands down one of the best artists I've ever seen, her piece she did on me is beautiful and I absolutely will be back for more!

Fast forward to Christmas Eve, I text her and said, "Let's go the day after Christmas. No excuses." I searched for a tattoo shop with good reviews and found Lucky Buddha Tattoo. Since it was Christmas Eve night, I couldn't get ahold of anyone (understandably), so we decided to just try our luck the next day. The shop is located off San Juan and Madison, which can be a busy area, but there's parking right out front... huge win. When we walked in, we were greeted by their apprentice, Sophia, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. We explained what we wanted and hoped we could get it done that day. Our original idea was to place the tattoo on the palm area, but Sophia was very transparent about how ink usually doesn't hold well there. She suggested an alternative placement that still worked perfectly with our vision. After discussing the price, we decided to go for it. Luckily, she had availability right then and there. She was so patient, making every tweak and edit we asked for without hesitation or attitude Absolute gem. While she was designing, we hung out up front and got some unexpected puppy therapy! their sweet pit bull wandered over and decided my friend was her chosen human. She jumped right into her lap and chilled, which was especially adorable since my friend is normally scared of big dogs. Instant icebreaker. The entire vibe of the shop was warm, friendly, and chill. The owner even came out and chatted with us for a bit, which just added to the good energy. Once we finalized the design, Sophia got to work. She had a gentle hand, and each tattoo only took about 20 minutes. We walked out beyond happy. the tattoos came out perfect, and the experience was even better. Thank you Sophia, for your awesome work! I'll definitely be coming back for my next one.

The building itself has a really cool history, and the inside of the shop looks incredible. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride not only in the space, but in the team they've built. Eli Rushing was my artist, and he took me as a walk-in. I came in wanting to get my newborn son's footprints tattooed on each side of my Tree of Life. We bounced around a few ideas and landed on a design I was really excited about. Eli absolutely nailed it. We had great conversation throughout the session, and once it was done, I was genuinely blown away by the finished piece. On a whim, I also asked if he'd be willing to touch up some faded Hawaiian islands I have on my other arm, and he didn't hesitate. He was happy to do it, which I really appreciated. The pricing was very fair, and I tipped well because I felt he absolutely deserved it. That was fully my choice, just based on the quality of the work and the overall experience. Everyone coming through the shop was friendly, talkative, and welcoming. Even the shop hand stood out--she was constantly making sure the artists had what they needed and was great with customers. You can see why this place has won so many awards. The shop and the artists absolutely live up to that reputation. Thankfully I live less than a mile away, because I'll definitely be coming back for future work. Thanks Eli and thanks Honeymoon Tattoo for such a great experience!

first, I'm going to say Ross who works at this facility is an awesome tattoo artist. I took my…read moredaughter to see him and he gave her her first tattoo. I also have a friend who has received a few tattoos from him. He was fair, culturally appropriate, and made the experience enjoyable for all involved. I arrived to my session 15 minutes late (different artist) However, the tattoo artist did not pull me back until 45 minutes after my initial arrival time. The sketch he showed me the day before ended up being the final draft, when he put the stencil on me and of course I did not like it, I vocalized it, as I sat in the chair, thinking we'd have a conversation about changes... he began to reprimanded me like I was a child!!! I have six tattoos, I have never been more offended, walking into a place to work with a person. It's like he was trying to get a rise out of me (not who I am, sir) When I tried to approach it maturely (asking open-ended questionsand for clarity), he continued to make it inappropriate and uncomfortable (in front of others and attempting to adding colleagues to the discussion) using the excuse of "this is permanent, then I have a family to feed, and last you seem unsure" as his way out of doing the tattoo as opposed to just telling me he didn't wanna work with me. I felt embarrassed, vulnerable, rejected, and dismissed by this man... I have never cried at a tattoo parlor previously, and I will never be back to this one. He said that he was trying not to make my experience worse!!!!! While making it the worst experience I have ever had... he was culturally inappropriate, passive aggressive, and he was clearly offended by my dislike of the sketching he was using as a final draft to put on my arm. Even when I showed him another version of something that I wanted, he made a big deal out of it and then started talking about time. What an inconsiderate human... I even tried to leave him the deposit I put down for my tattoo because of his need to feed his family. Fortunately, they gave it back to me. This is my truth it is valid ... the end... how many black people do you see in the photos (many???) and when you are the owner asking people to be on your side of course they will they work with you dude. Be real

The tattoos were for a fan and a bow. The fan approximately 3x3 and the bow was gonna be about 2 in. I got to my appointment and Alex arrived about 10 minutes past our scheduled time. Although she is very nice and polite, I think that part of showing professionalism as an artist is being prepared for your client. I still had to wait another 20 minutes for her to partially set up. I still felt comfortable, we talked about both tattoos and she said she would start with the fan. I do want to point out that I asked Alex if she was ok with tattoing the fan on my inner bicept area where I have soft somewhat saggy skin due to weight loss. She said it wouldn't be an issue and we got the stencil placed and she began. Alex wasn't interested in having a conversation with me, she was having conversations with the other artists which is totally fine. I'm not the most talkative and I do not expect artists to hold a conversation on top of working on a piece of art. After about 2 hours, I noticed the pain was increasing but I was ok with it (I have over 20 tattoos all over my body so this isn't anything new to me). Once I glanced at the tattoo, I noticed my skin was raised and very red. I believe Alex is still an apprentice so she had another artist come and check the tattoo after the 3 hour mark and that artist advised her to stop on that tattoo since the skin was very red and tender. Alex said we would do the bow on my next appointment and for the fan I'd have to wait about a month or so to continue the tattoo. I was totally ok with that even though it's something I've never experienced. Fast forward to March, Alex sent me a message on IG asking if I wanted to have the tattoo finished by the shop owner Mari. I told her that if she felt comfortable finishing it herself, she could. She responded with availability for the last 2 weeks of April which didn't work for me so I asked for the first week of May and she has yet to reply. For context, my last message was sent April 13th and today is May 11th. At this point it's clear to me that she doesn't care about half axxing a tattoo. I'm now looking for another artist that will finish my tattoo. Although this review is for 1 artist, she is a reflection of the shop. I will not be back here.
