We were served by a very helpful lady that spent time explaining what the different choices of Eastern European biscuits and cakes where, before loading us up with 6 cookies and 2 slices of homemade baklava, all for only £1.80!!! And on the way out, she offered us free sandwiches! So we walked away very happy indeed with a feast for two. The food itself was tasty, especially the coconut cookie and pistachio baklava. My strawberry tart was quite nice, until I found the BLACK HAIR on it, and then I was really put off. All in all this was really not a good experience nad one that really lets PV down. If this was my first time at a PV I'd never go back. A shame as their cakes are lush and something special. Firstly, it is NOT my local post office, there is at least one that is much closer. I also realised I was hungry so I thought I'd give Crown Bakery, two doors down a try. It's a small local business, and as is usually the case, the lady serving me was friendly and helpful. She helped me choose what I wanted for breakfast which was a bacon and sausage baguette, and suggested cheese on it too. A strange suggestion I thought, but OH MY GOD it was AMAZING! If I'm in the area again collecting a parcel, I'll definitely go back for another breakfast. Maybe a cake too.
