As a senior woman who suffered a serious…read moreslip and fall, I was initially brushed off by local attorneys because I didn't have major, catastrophic injuries--even though the fall on my back caused me real pain and distress as I was laid up for weeks. Stress from incoming ER medical bills and aggressive insurance callers representing the big box store was building daily. From our very first meeting, Zaid and the entire team were a breath of fresh air. They were full of energy, took my situation seriously, and made me feel genuinely cared about and validated. It took literally 10 minutes at most before the whole team rallied behind me! They took complete control of my case, shielding me from these insistent callers and answering all my concerns quickly and professionally. Thanks to their tenacity, we reached a highly successful settlement within months. If you want a legal team that treats you like a human being and fights hard for you, look no further. Even though my case was most likely not a major win for them - they treated me as if I was a high-profile client from start to finish.

This company should not be in operation a true sham airing every hour on WGN. I had a very worst…read moreexperience with Malman Law handling my workers' compensation case. From the beginning, communication was extremely poor between the attorney, front office staff, and myself. Calls and emails were often not returned, and I was regularly left without updates on my case. There were also issues with paperwork and communications being mishandled. At times, I was told I was being untruthful about not receiving communications, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Documents and emails were also sent improperly, raising concerns about organization and confidentiality. What was most disappointing was feeling like I had to do much of the work myself just to keep my case moving forward. I constantly had to follow up, track information down, and push for progress instead of feeling properly represented and supported. Overall, the experience caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this law office to others seeking workers' compensation representation. I still ended up filling a complaint against the attorney who handled my case, paralegal and the owner with the ARDC because of the way I was treated by them all during my case and how they refused to assist me with information about the case afterwards.

We recently just launched our new business. Hours upon hours of work was put into building our…read more product, website and marketing/sales systems. We went ahead and proceeded to execute our marketing plan. Few months later, we found another company from miles away plagiarizing our website, photos and business model. If anyone has been through what we have been through, you know that it can cause a lot of sleepless nights. Sometimes you feel angry, but more so, you feel hopeless. We contacted the competitor. We were met with snarky replies and they brushed off our numerous requests to take down our copyrighted material from their website. Enough was enough. We contacted Villalobos & Associates via email at 4am once the plagiarism got out of hand. We received a phone call from Mark about 2 hours later. Who opens that early?! We thought we were the only ones pulling 20 hour days! :) Mark listened to our story, felt our pain, and calmly explained how we can position ourselves to send a DCMA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) to our competitor. Mark took full control of the situation and drew up the forms. He sent the forms directly to our competitor. It felt like Mark was heading our very own Legal Department. Few days later - our competitors took their site down. Poof. Like magic. You just don't know how happy our team was. I let each member know what had happened and now Mark is some sort of a mythological figure written in the history books of our company. It's a great story. Our team still talks about it to this day. We still send Mark gifts for helping protect our company's work and vision. He still has this demeanor that "It's what we do, no big deal" every time I bring the story up. Mark allowed us to continue building our vision and serving our customers. To that, we are GREATLY appreciative of the team over at Villalobos & Associates. We are happy (and confident) to know they are part of our team. Definitely an asset to our company. I recommend having Villalobos & Associates be a part of your Legal Team. You never know if something will come up, but you'll have a peace of mind knowing that someone will go up to bat for you at a moment's notice.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this legal office based on my experience as a landlord…read more Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I have encountered. I retained this firm in September 2025 to assist with a tenant matter, and as of April 21, 2026, the tenant is still occupying the property without paying rent. Given the length of time that has passed, this delay has been both financially and personally burdensome. Additionally, as of April 21, 2026, I have yet to receive any updates regarding what occurred during a court appearance in March. I have not been informed of upcoming court dates, nor have I received consistent communication from the office. Instead, I have had to repeatedly initiate contact myself just to obtain basic information about my case. The process server they utilized also took approximately four months to serve the tenant, causing significant delays. Even after service was finally completed in March, there has still been no clear communication regarding the status or progress of the case. To make matters worse, the process server reportedly left with keys to the building, which raises serious concerns regarding security and professionalism. I strongly encourage others to conduct thorough due diligence and not rely solely on online reviews. My experience highlights serious concerns regarding communication, efficiency, and overall service.

The landlord was an attorney and felt like it was ok to try and bully me into doing what he wanted. I knew I needed an attorney after several attempts of trying to resolve the issue on my own. I hired Aaron, and he found a careless mistake on the landlord's side with an elementary lease obligation for Chicago tenant laws. Aaron was able to shut this idiot down so I could move on. Aaron is not only great at his job but is also hilarious and made my situation better in more ways than one. I appreciate his professionalism, drive to work hard for his clients, and sense of humor. He is a no BS kind of person. I appreciate this in people and Aaron! Thank you, Aaron, for changing things for me and giving me peace to move on. You ROCK!!

I reached out to Aaron when I discovered that my tenants were conducting potentially illegal and…read moredangerous activities in the basement. This somehow seemed to personally offend him. I have worked in the legal field for over a decade and I have never encountered a more rude, sneering and condescending individual. Our first phone conversation was seemingly OK and then it went downhill from there. Afterwards nearly every question I asked was met with disdain. At times he seemed to be on the verge of giving himself an ulcer. He would constantly interrupt and attempt to browbeat. At no point did I feel like this was a lawyer who would have my best interests at heart. My personal favorite moment of our short-lived relationship is when he dramatically sighed and said "Unfortunately, it looks like I will have to do some work for you." I assume no one forced him to be a lawyer. Eventually he decided that we should serve the tenants a termination of lease. He misspelled "dangerous" on the notice. You would think for a 3K retainer he would avoid such sloppy mistakes. He then decided to change his mind at the last minute and that was the final straw. It was my mistake to put up with Aaron's bad behavior but as I was in a time crunch I felt that I had limited options. From the many positives reviews (I assume most of them are real), Aaron does know how to behave like an adult and treat people in a professional and courteous manner. However, if you are one of the people that Aaron decides to show his true and lowly nature to, hang up immediately as this burst hemorrhoid is not worth one second of your time. The only good thing I can say about him is that he gave the retainer back. But I did have to email him for the final installment.
