This place RUINED my vehicle. I took my vehicle there to be diagnosed for a problem with the motor…read moreso they could run everything through carshield and fix it and get me my car back. Well, let the nightmare begin. I get a call that my keys don't communicate with the vehicle, funny, I never had any problems and neither did the tow truck driver the day BEFORE I got this call. So they say they have to remove ONE BOX for it to work. I say ok your the PROFESSIONAL do what you think is supposed to be done to fix my car. Well, that leads to wires being cut, fuse box disconnected and left like that, 3 computers being deprogrammed, and I STILL have not gotten a diagnosis. Not to mention they tried to charge me for a diagnosis they NEVER did and charged me $80 to tow my vehicle from one lot to one right next to it. So thanks to this garage, my vehicle needs a $1600 wiring harness, 3 computers reprogrammed, and only God knows what else because this is where the new mechanic got before I had to tell him to stop because I now have to get rid of the vehicle in the state it is in because I can't afford repairs that this garage has caused on top of the problem they NEVER even diagnosed. I am now out a vehicle to get my kids around thanks to Auto Tech. Oh and when I came in to tell them what the initial problem with my motor was doing, the sounds it made and how it acted, the confused look on supposed to be experienced mechanics, should have been my sign to take my vehicle elsewhere. Just be cautious of sending your vehicle here, if I hadn't I'm almost certain I would have my car back by now, instead I'm out $5,000 for the car that we just bought in February, and time, and a way to get my kids where they need to go.

Say what? Fourteen hundred dollars for a catalytic converter?! No way! I've found that overpriced quotes are the norm in the DMV. When I get quotes like this, I immediately call my dad in southwestern Virginia. He possesses a wealth of car knowledge and when I tell him about the ridiculous repair quotes from shops in the DMV, he immediately calls around to the local car repair shops to find parts and better prices for labor. On this day we were directed to Performance Automotive by my dad's buddy by the name of Tadpole, that works at the Napa Car Parts Store. We were told that Performance Automotive, a family owned business, had a state of the art diagnostic machine. The Napa Store and Performance Auto are on the same street so it took us no time to get there. The garage is not directly located on the street so it took us a few minutes to find the garage. We arrived and were immediately serviced by a young lady with the infamous state of the art diagnostic machine in her hand. She hooked up my car and within minutes had a diagnosis. Turns out I don't need a catalytic converter. The service engine light could be an indication of numerous things. I was told not to worry as long as my car is running fine. She even told me I could drive to California at that very moment! :) My dad and I left confident in the diagnosis and relieved that I didn't have to spend any more money on my car!

Living in Northern Virginia, I had my dad check the car out for me initially. While the salesperson was helpful in getting the process started, the experience quickly turned into the worst car-buying ordeal I've ever had. I came prepared with a pre-approved loan from my bank, which is not local. The dealership needed to send some paperwork to the bank in order to finalize the deal and receive the check. However, getting the finance manager to cooperate was like pulling teeth. Despite the process being clearly outlined on the paperwork, they were uncooperative and dismissive. I repeatedly asked for the finance department to call me, but they never did. The salesperson was the only person who responded to me throughout this ordeal. After going back and forth, the finance manager finally called the bank and sent the required paperwork. I thought everything was settled, but two days later, I learned they had failed to send the completed forms back to the bank. Even more frustratingly, they insisted I couldn't take the vehicle until the check was received--yet they delayed the process by not doing their part. When the bank offered to send the check via overnight mail, the dealership told them to send it through regular mail, without even consulting me. This caused a delay of over a week before I could pick up the car. Additionally, I inquired about a sales tax exemption for disabled veterans, which I qualify for. According to the DMV, online dealers should be able to process this paperwork, but the dealership offered no assistance whatsoever. When the check finally arrived, the salesperson called me to pick up the car. Upon arriving, I inspected the vehicle and was ready to sign the paperwork. Shockingly, the finance department didn't even bother to review the documents with me. Instead, they handed everything to the salesperson to manage. This has never happened in any of my previous car purchases. To make matters worse, when some paperwork was overlooked, the finance manager came out, dropped it in front of me without a word, and walked away without even a greeting. After driving off, I noticed the vehicle had over 400 more miles on it than the paperwork indicated. I also reached out to the General Manager Jack Norton about my concerns, and while he promised to call me back the next day, I never heard from him. If you're looking for a welcoming and professional car-buying experience, or if you want to feel valued while spending your hard-earned money, I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership.
