I hired this fellow to repair a few issues on my motorhome last spring. He made both problems worse, told me to buy parts to the tune of $300 that were not needed and took me for over $300 in labor. He then refused to come back and make it right but promised a refund and then "changed his mind" and kept my money after promising a refund. REVIEW of Allards Mobile RV Repair - BEWARE (Manchester) I contacted Allard's repair 2 weeks ago to come and fix 2 electrical issues with my motorhome After getting ahold of them it was difficult to get them to finally get here but they showed up. I was a bit nervous because he didn't seem to understand how an inverter works in a motorhome but I supplied him and a set of wiring diagrams and showed him what I knew. He and his helper spent 3 hours and $244 and told me that it was a bad switch for the step and that they had tracked both issues to a the switch for the door and the slide circuit board. they told me if I would replace both issues would be resolved. I thanked them paid them for the 3 hours and thay left. I installed the new switch and the circuit board and NOTHING changed. When I contacted them I was told that it was my fault at first and then that he had fired his "helper" and I would get a refund from him this week because he couldn't fix it. Well after more accusations this week when asked when he was coming he finally told be he was not going to give me a refund and that he had plenty of business so he didn't care. So as a warning AVOID THIS GUY! He wont stand behind his work and is clueless. Worse than that he steals and lies. Feel free to contact me for copies of his text to me. My refrigerator on my camper was not working, I knew what the issue was as I had it diagnosed previously. I got a good price from James regarding the fix and let him have at it. He replaced the refrigerator and told me he would provide the paperwork for warranty purposes as he was still waiting for them from the refrigerator seller. After installing the refrigerator he wanted to check that it was working but my battery was dead - which I knew and would require a charge. He and his co-worker told me that it wasn't my battery but that my converter was gone and it would cost another ~$300.00. I thanked him and requested he mail the warranty paperwork as soon as he received it. I charged the battery and the electricity worked perfectly and thankfully so did the refrigerator. I never received the warranty paperwork even after leaving 4 messages for him with no response. He doesn't seem very knowledgeable in this area and I certainly wouldn't recommend him. read more
