The folks at Dave Mungenast Used Cars in Bonne Terre, MO, are GREAT to work with. My salesman, Gary was nice. Kind, patient, and treated me with all the respect I would expect. The Sales Manager Tim was funny and made sure our deal was being taken care of as expediently as possible. Bob the credit manager was so laid back and friendly. Plus it's easy to like a guy who listens to Elvis Presley all day, every day. Twenty four hours after closing our deal, I was back because the drivers side wiper broke. Bob got a repair guy on it quickly to see what had happened, and I was back on the road in five minutes. It just needed snapping back into place. If my mother or sister or friend needed a car, I would usher them to Mungenast in a split second. If YOU need a car, check them out. They won't disappoint you! My son purchased the clutch which they put in. We picked the truck back up for the next day the motor messed up. After many calls and being told the owner will call us back which he never did. I explained to them my schedule was very tight beings I worked two jobs, basically needed it to be sign and drive. I drove all the way to Jackson to pick up the suv only for them to have moved it to Farmington without telling me. They stated they did but I still have texts from that conversation and it's not there. I drove back to Farmington and had to complete the test drive and vehicle inspection after dark. I decided to purchase the vehicle I was told that I could not refinance it for 3 months or I would have early pay off fees, however when I called their credit union this was not true. I received a text later saying my title and extra keys were there. I.stopped by to get them and they stated there was no extra key, but they would have a key guy make one at my cost. I declined, Beings the car was already in the shop getting maintenance because it was over 3 years past due for its scheduled maintenance. When I told them this the salesperson argued that the oil had been changed, but with mercedes that isn't the only maintenance they require for longevity of the car. ,(this is more important to know about a car you are selling then how many ways to open the back hatch.) The car seems to be of quality. However the customer service and communication leave a lot to be desired .

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Auffenberg. The vehicle was sold to me at a…read morepremium price, and I was highly encouraged to purchase the extended warranty, but unfortunately that warranty has not covered any of the issues I've encountered since purchasing the vehicle. After getting the vehicle home, I discovered numerous problems that should have been caught during a proper inspection, including: * Loose interior trim pieces, including areas around the headliner that appeared to have been removed and not properly reinstalled * A rear bumper sensor that was completely disconnected * The body control module harness laying against the exhaust * All four shocks were blown and needed replacement * Leaking transmission cooler lines * Upper and lower oil pan gasket leaks * Motor mounts with excessive play What bothers me most is that these aren't minor issues that developed long after the purchase. Several were conditions that should have been discovered during a thorough inspection before the vehicle was put on the lot and sold. The extended warranty was one of the main things they recommended when I purchased the vehicle, but when I actually needed it, I found out that the coverage was far more limited than I was led to believe. I've already had issues getting legitimate repairs covered. I understand that buying a used vehicle comes with some risk, but I expected much better from a dealership selling a vehicle at the price I paid. The combination of the condition of the vehicle, the inspection process, and the difficulties with the warranty has left me very disappointed with the overall experience. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a used vehicle from Auffenberg have it independently inspected by a trusted mechanic before buying it, regardless of what the dealership's inspection says.

I leased a car through them, a 2013 Kia optima I drive it off the lot after they said (specifically the man named cody) it was ready to be sold and the day AFTER I was driving and the engine started knocking when I called them to ask about this issue they said they were "unaware" of this issue even tho as they said, they do a "mechanic check" before letting the cars off the lot So when I tried to have them come get it from where I was which was saint louis, they had it towed to the location and said I would get the money back for it as I had to pay out of pocket (but I did not even tho I had a voice recording proving they stated that) and then they told me they had to get it to the Kia dealership because only "they" could work on it then they bs'd me for weeks about it being in the shop or at the dealership and then they couldn't even keep their lies straight and told me it was stolen off the Kia dealership lot and couldn't be tracked (although there was a tracking chip in it) oh and then "suddenly" it was found a couple days afterwards and I had an all around horrible experience. I would literally recommend ANYWHERE else but this car dealership!
