I've never written a review like this, but I feel an obligation to warn others…read more
I was referred here by my PCP and was initially hopeful, but the intake process was one of the most traumatizing and unethical I've ever encountered in any medical setting, let alone psychiatry.
The new patient packet is not fillable and contains dozens of deeply invasive, triggering, and inappropriately personal questions, including unnecessary trauma disclosures, gynecological information, and even targeted screening for borderline personality disorder before any relationship or assessment has occurred.
For someone with schizoaffective disorder, addiction history, and PTSD, this was retraumatizing and made me feel like I was being filtered, not welcomed.
To make things worse, their staff (especially Dee) was rude, passive-aggressive, and unhelpful. They refused to clarify the form or even respond to multiple calls and emails until the day before the form was due. I was left scrambling under emotional distress with zero support.
The form also contains alarming disclaimers about substance use, threatening drug testing and care termination, with no mention of trauma-informed addiction treatment or ADA protections.
When I voiced my concerns, I was completely ignored. No follow-up, no compassion, no attempt to understand the impact this had on me as a new patient asking for help.
At best, this practice is outdated. At worst, it's discriminatory, ableist, and dangerously dismissive of complex mental health needs.
If you are neurodivergent, have trauma, substance history, or are sensitive to psychiatric misdiagnosis, avoid this office. I canceled my appointment, and I'm glad I did.
