Just because someone hires a contractor doesn't mean they don't understand how to do a job and how…read morelong a job should take. Our experience Hukills was terrible. Something that should have taken no longer than three weeks has gone well over three months. Not sure why it's taking long since they routinely send out two guys to do the same job after each tiny portion of work is done incorrectly by first crew. They sent guys to do a flooring and didn't order enough materials - utter incompetence.. Had guys try to start work that wasn't approved due to lack of progress on first portion of the project. Lack of communication was inexcusable- expecting us to remain on standby in case they show up to work for a few hours, then not showing up at all. Lack of respect all around. Our doors were left open while they worked in our home and it ended up full of flies twice. They failed to secure our residence when leaving the home. They never laid paper down nor wore construction booties to protect our living space, so they tracked dust and mess everywhere. Came home to construction noise only, then had workers think it was okay to playing music and singing along. Had doors labeled "do not enter" and workers opened doors and entered rooms anyway. They left our lights on and we asked them to make sure they are turned off. They turned on extra lights and continue to leave them on each time. They worked here. When they would book an appointment to review their work and have things fixed that were still wrong, they never showed up on time. Their lack of professionalism, lack of common courtesy, utter disregard for customer private spaces and home sanctity is mind boggling. I don't recommend this company at all.

Short version? CALL PACIFIC! Long version? Geothermal…read moreclimate control systems pencil out.  Initial costs are higher than the more common options but they quickly pay for themselves with low operating costs and exceptional system efficiency. Our system hadn't been serviced since we bought the house 4 years ago.  The Grants Pass, OR based installer had retired and I had to find a knowledgeable alternate.  My challenge was finding a reliable maintenance company who truly understands these systems. My search led me to Mark Webb and Pacific Heating & Cooling of Medford/White City, OR.   While Pacific can handle the typical HVAC calls, Mark's company KNOWs Geo; installation and service. When my system started having trouble producing heat, I called Pacific in for the maintenance.  Now Merlin, at 40+ miles away, is well out of Pacific's normal service area but Mark found time to fit us in quickly.  Mark's communication was excellent (timely texts to confirm the appointment, tell me he was on the way, about to arrive etc).  He was punctual.  He expertly evaluated the system, executed multiple maintenance procedures and repairs, replaced faulty components with OEM parts (who else carries "ClimateMaster" parts on the truck) and quickly had my system pumping out 91 degree air (up from 66) in no time.  Of equal benefit, he carefully explained GeoThermal theory to me simply and then provided web links to ClimateMaster maintenance info so I can handle basic maintenance like topping off coolant, burping the circulation pump, and identifying trouble codes in the future.  Nobody likes a surprise when the bill comes in and I won't divulge pricing but let me say that I was surprised ...PLEASANTLY ... the fee for service was significantly LOWER than my lowest estimate.  And he showed me some system design improvements to significantly improve the systems basic performance.  Now ... I don't write reviews unless the organization EARNS one.  In Mark's/Pacific's case ... for EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and winning a LOYAL customer who will tell others "For HVAC or Geothermal installation or service ...  CALL PACIFIC" Hugh Griffiths Merlin/Hugo, Oregon.

I can live with that, but lack of communication, lying & unaccountably are another thing. Friday 18, 2018 --- Eli with 1st response set up an appointment for me for Monday 21 @ 9-9:30am. I confirmed via phone call with him Monday morning before 9 am that he was headed my way from Medford to GP. Texted him at 9:30am to ask if he was headed my way, called again at 10:30am, the guy didn't get to my house until after 1pm to give me a 2 minute quote. The only act of admission I received from him upon arrival was, we must have gotten our wires crossed. No you flat out lied to me & showed that you believe my time is worthless between multiple calls & texts that your confirmed. He's supposedly set up the dry wallers for today Wed. 23 & the painters for Thur. 5-24 and was going to get the quote over via email from Serv Pro's. I tried to call & text Tuesday with both ServPros and Eli with 1st response and was promised they would have the quote over by end of business Tuesday and they would get me the #'s to the dry waller and painter. Eli never responded to 2 calls, 1 VM or 1 text, nor did Serv Pros respond to the email by EOB yesterday. I called & texted Eli back this morning to see if the dry wall people were still coming out, no response. Finally got a hold of Serv Pro's this morning, upon which was told that the first response tech's were at Serve Pro's office, but they aren't going to do the job. Waste of half of my week, instead of 1st response made you should call yourself "No Response'... Use at your own risk!
