From the very first appointment, she treated my father with exceptional care, patience, and respect. She took the time to thoroughly explain his condition, answer all of our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. Her expertise, attention to detail, and calm demeanor gave our family great confidence during a very stressful time. It is rare to find a physician who combines such high-level medical knowledge with genuine kindness and empathy. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and outstanding care. I highly recommend Dr. Kazemi to anyone looking for a skilled, professional, and truly caring cardiologist.

It was as if me calling her was bothering her. "Ok sounds good bye." No would you like to reschedule, etc. nothing. You literally are the face of the office and you speak to the patients like this. Update: Dr Kazemi, thank you for your response. I appreciate your professionalism, however, I wouldn't have posted something unless I felt a certain way. The conversation I had with your employee made me feel like my call was being dismissed. We can agree to disagree, but my call was not of importance to her whatsoever. I did not tell her I would call back to reschedule. Before I had a chance to do that, she had said bye, so I'm not sure where you are getting the copies of the phone conversation from? Regardless, thank you for your response.

So, both legs back to back, 1 day apart. Sclerotherapy - Mike ( Dr. Setareh ) - such a kind man and easy to talk to - as well as to get the 411 on anything regarding the surgery. They give you numbers to reach the docs after hours, in case of anything. The front desk folks are nice and will also answer any questions you have. Most of the staff is very nice and have a kind word or smile or a concerned look for you - which makes the visit feel very safe. They do this procedure many times a week - and Dr. Satareh is really good at it. It hurts, don't get me wrong, but it's only 20 minutes or so per leg, and then 5 days in compression stockings. All in all.... really good. The underground garage is nice - but small - and if you have a large vehicle harder to park - but, there's an upper lot outside that works too :) I would score them a 98% :) That's a pretty high score ! :)

The doctor insisted that I needed RF treatment for a faulty valve on my left leg first. I didn't want to have RF since I'd never had varicose veins, or pain in my legs. Dr. Michael said he would not treat my spider vein cluster until the other vein was treated. So I had that done. Then when I was ready to have my spot removed, he said it was $650 and that they would treat both legs. There wasn't much to treat, but I said OK. I guess if you can see anything go ahead and inject it. The next thing I know I have spider veins all over my legs. I never had spider veins before. I had a couple broken vessels that nobody could see and now my legs are Covered in veins. I'm assuming he poked holes in my larger veins and they leaked everywhere. He has totally destroyed my legs and has refused to correct the damage. It's been over 6 month since treatment.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the outset. I was repeatedly told by the staff to call back because they had not yet spoken with the doctor. During this time, I reviewed their New Patient Form and was surprised to find it was a mix of scanned pages and typed text--requiring patients to print, complete by hand, and then return via scan or in person. This felt outdated in an era where fillable PDF forms are the norm. Out of curiosity and as a personal learning exercise, I created an electronic fillable version of their form. Since I had already put the work in, I offered it to the office in case it might be useful for them and for future patients. My offer was not acknowledged, and shortly thereafter I received a call stating that they could not treat my condition because they did not have the appropriate equipment. While I understand that not every specialist has the facilities to treat all patients, I find it discouraging that the process of even getting an appointment was handled so dismissively. The lack of interest in improving outdated processes, combined with the sudden rejection of my case, left me with the impression that patient access and experience are not priorities for this practice. In today's medical environment, efficiency, compassion, and inclusivity matter as much as technical expertise. Unfortunately, my interaction with this office did not reflect those values.

This is a tough review for me to write bc I both respect Dr. Nishanian and credit him for making a…read morevery difficult call with my father's foot and leg at the hospital. He's clearly experienced, not just in his expertise but with the benefit of age and history within this speciality. He was the intervening vascular surgeon in a complex case that would've either killed my father or left him in shambles. He was candid with me, astute in his observation of what we should expect, compassionate in all the right ways about a 73yo man whose care had undoubtedly been mishandled by other doctors who should've caught things earlier, and he helped me make the right call. My disappointment is in his refusal to follow-up with my father afterwards. The reasoning I got was that he didn't take such a complex case. But the irony is that not only was he the doctor I kept trying to make an appt with before my father's foot infection complicated his PAD but couldn't bc the online portal repeatedly failed to secure the appts or link to the office; but also that while he called out other doctors for not giving my dad the attention he needed, the good doc absolved himself of it too. When the office reads this, I want them to know that even the initial vascular surgeon (Dr. Nabi) refused to see my dad citing excuses with insurance. So the two vascular surgeons who saw my father and oversaw his care w an entire team don't want this mess of a man on their hands. And I ask where's the compassion and conscience in all this? Unless he's actively dying or has the right insurance it seems, he doesn't matter. What's the point when the doctors themselves abandon a man bc he's too broken to fix? It speaks to a disgraceful healthcare system that may train the best but leave so much to be desired, particularly with the aging population. I naturally won't seek care here or there, and we'll have to find someone else who's willing to give my old man a chance, but the doctors and the system have failed us. And I have lost my father bc of this very attitude throughout my his care. An unconscionable unwillingness. Still, I thank Dr. Nishanian for what he did. And I guess my advice for others is to get yourselves and your folks in before they're too broken. Bc no one cares.

I was deceived about their network status before my appointment. My first question when calling was…read morewhether they were an in-network provider. A staff member named Teresa told me she would find out and called me back within minutes to confirm they were in-network. Based on that assurance, I scheduled and attended my appointment. Afterward, my insurance's explanation of benefits showed the provider is actually OUT of network. Now I'm being billed for an ultrasound I never would have agreed to had I known the truth. Being misinformed about network status -- whether through negligence or intentional misrepresentation -- is unacceptable. Patients make healthcare decisions based on cost, and this kind of error causes real financial harm. I would urge anyone to independently verify with your insurance company before any appointment here.

This is a review written after 3 years of treatment, my nightmare and biggest regret after 43 years…read moreof life. I intend to expose every questionable aspect of this operation, so that you reader might make the best possible choice for your health. First appointment: Initially came in because of a concern with a spider vein on my lower right leg. I wasn't seen for an hour and a half passed my scheduled time. Unacceptable. I described my concern. After scanning my right leg, I was diagnosed with Chronic Venous Insufficiency. Remember I came in for a spider vein, just the one; but fear mongering is an effective sales technique. I'm then told in order to have the procedure I would have to travel to Encino. No other option was given to me. I was then scheduled for preop in Long Beach. What is going on here? I'm bouncing all over Southern California to get to appointments and at no point do they appreciate the inconvenience this is to the patient or to how broken their system is. AND, only one leg at a time can be ablated...so, this means I would have to drive to Encino twice. Encino Surgical Day (Left Leg) I get to Encino. There is paid parking for the Surgical Center. No validation given. Price tag was $35. This is unacceptable. Dr. Mikhail administers the procedure on my left leg. Everything goes well. I head home with mild discomfort. I follow ALL post-op protocols. Recovery goes well. Encino Surgical Day (Right Leg) I get to Encino; get prepped for surgery and while on the surgical table a gal from the front office comes in and tells me that my lower right leg was not approved by insurance. What? Why would this not be resolved prior to having me agonize over LA traffic for 2.5 hours? Why is only the upper but not the lower approved? Who is at the bottom of this incompetence? West Medical management. I digress, right upper GSV (great saphenous vein) ablated. I follow ALL post-op protocols. Recovery goes well. During post-op treatments, I made it clear the inconvenience of driving to Encino for treatment. Dr. Sarabi, the Irvine doctor, then intervened and said he could take care of my lower right leg, no problem at the Irvine office. Surgical Day (Lower Right Leg) Dr. Sarabi walks into the surgical room with the following joke, "Peter, it appears your insurance denied your procedure." This immediately puts me into a state of agitation as he starts to laugh out loud LOUDLY that "he got me." Are you fucking kidding me? This behavior is vulgar at best. Right lower ablation complete. I follow ALL post-op protocols. Uh-oh! Something's wrong. My entire right lower leg was numb, zero feeling and then the most concerning was, I started having problems with BM's. I come in with my post-op concerns, but Dr. Sarabi is nowhere to be found. This guy literally disappears for a month. Since there is no doctor, I'm forced to see the physicians' assistant Snooky. This Snooky asks me to close my eyes as she prods me with a damn pen; what the fuck are you doing? She stabs me with the pen, for what? To try to show that I'm making my symptoms up? Insane. Dr. Sarabi returns from hiatus. I'm waiting to be seen; I haven't gone to the restroom in weeks. He comes in with his phone in his smock's pocket BLASTING music, with a lollipop and cup of coffee in hand. This guy is literally bouncing off the damn walls. He see's my absolute frustration and orders me into the surgical room right away. I'm poked several times in my lower right leg to aspirate trapped blood from the veins, but he then manically begins to squeeze my legs. AND then, he sticks me with their vein killing solution not 3 inches away from my butthole. This completely shuts down ALL plumbing. Everything from here got worse and West Medical took zero accountability putting the blame ALL on me. As of today, I've fully restored bowel function. BUT...I have "constant flowing water" on my lower right leg. The one spider vein that brought me to their office is now a collection of spider veins and black veins covering the back of my knee. I used to wear shorts quite regularly. I don't anymore as the result from the procedure deeply embarrasses me. The quality of my life has dramatically decreased. It literally pervades my thoughts every day and the second I start to forget about it, water begins to flow down the back of my leg to remind me that something is wrong, then I look only to see black veins and then I KNOW something went wrong. I've asked to be seen on several occasions only to be told my insurance is not accepted anymore at the Irvine location so I would need to travel to Long Beach and could only be seen by one doctor and not the other. WTF! I've now entered the twilight zone! I would unequivocally recommend you seek for a vein surgeon any place other than West Medical.
