Dr. Trivellas confirmed I had strength but I couldn't lift my right arm, as the MRI showed I apparently I had a 90% tear. When I received the call a much sooner surgery day was available in a few days instead of a few weeks, I had to take it. The nursing staff made my 7:30am check-in a smooth one, with lots of information shared with me. The waiting moments leading to Dr. Trivellas visiting before wheeling into surgery was calming. I remember the moment my oxygen mask was put on my face, and the next time I saw a room again I was in recovery. The nerve block was still doing its magic over the next 12 hours, reminding me that my days of waking in the night and morning with pain would be behind me soon. I want to thank Dr. Trivellas of course, but also: her scheduler, Yvonne who got me into the earlier surgery date; Reyna at the front desk to make sure my paperwork was in order; Hanna & Kristi, my Pre-Op nurses who prepped me for my surgery; Dr. Prunean who safely sent me to lala land; Elaine & Rich who were my OR Team; Mikki, my RNFA who let me know she'd be assisting Dr. Trivellas; and my Post-Op nurse Kristi who welcomed me back to reality in the recovery area. My surgery experience went well because of this solid Team of professionals. It will be a slow and steady rehab ahead, but my Team set the tone for a promising pain-free shoulder!

They follow a script for diagnosis and care, with no personalization. We've decided to get a second opinion and asked for copies of our MRI & XRay. We were told it would take 2 weeks. All our other providers gave us copies in 1 day and in some cases same day. This group is way behind the times. If they can't deliver administratively, what would happen during an operation.

Dr. Rose received me with a warm smile, listened carefully to my concerns, examined and x-rayed my hand, identified the issue, and provided detailed options. The minor surgery went very well, and at all times I felt that Dr. Rose and his team cared, listened, and made me feel I was under excellent care. The team is professional and caring. The orthopedic center has all the expert resources and equipment necessary to expedite diagnosis and determine procedure. The entire team at this orthopedic center in Newport Beach provides comprehensive services - so that all-in- one feeling - is truly welcomed; avoiding having to run around town for each orthopedic issue. I shall return should I need further medical attention and definitely recommend Dr. Rose and his team of specialists.

Review for Dr. Rose's Office/front desk not Dr. Rose as I was unable to meet with him…read more I was a new patient with an 8:15 AM appointment. My daughter and I arrived at 8a.m, checked in and was asked to complete my online forms which I completed in 5 minutes. I let her know I was done and she said the other staff member would get me set up. We waited in the lobby for 50 minutes. During that time, every other patient who walked in after us was called back within five minutes. Eventually, I approached the front desk to ask when I'd be seen, only to be told they were waiting on me to complete the new patient forms. I had actually filled them out right when I arrived and notified the staff, but apparently, there was a lack of communication. Because of the delay, I had to leave without being seen--despite being in constant pain and having scheduled this appointment a month in advance. I also had my daughter's appointment scheduled right after mine, which we had to cancel as well. I requested my ID and insurance card back and left disappointed. Dr. Rose clearly has a very busy practice, but it's frustrating when poor administrative coordination prevents patients from receiving care--especially those who arrive on time and are in need. A suggestion for the front desk staff: If you're holding a patient's ID and insurance card, and they're expected to complete online forms, check in with them after a few minutes. A quick confirmation could avoid unnecessary delays like this one. It was very disheartening to watch every other patient be seen while I sat there unknowingly overlooked. I took time off work. Unfortunately, I'll need to find another orthopedic specialist. I had high hopes for this visit, but I left feeling dismissed and upset.

I have Ehler Danlos Syndrome which makes my connective tissue hypermobile and difficult to operate on. To have a surgeon who not only has excellent bed side manner, understand the difficulty that hypermobile EDS can cause was refreshing and reassuring. I am in healthcare and he was one of the few physicians I have encountered who isn't afraid to Keep learning, and takes time to listen. When my daughter was injured, I immediately took her to see Dr. Petrie as she had a complicated health history. He was so gentle and calming and reassuring. On a followup before my MRI the doctor didn't even remember he had ordered the MRI and was mad that he thought someone else had ordered it. And until I showed him the order, that had his name and signature on. After my MRI I allowed them to push my appointment back and reschedule me for another week later cause the doctor was gonna be out. Then now 2 weeks later they tell me they don't have my MRI and don't know why, so they would request it. After that I get another call back saying they don't even have anyone that would be able to read it for me cause no other doctor in their practice can take the 5-10 minutes to let me know what it shows. So now I have to be delayed further, looking for a new orthopedic after I have already spent over a month using this office. Usually when a business apologizes for the inconvenience they cause, that business tries to step up and fix things. They wanted to do nothing but wipe their hands of things and not do a thing to help get me taken care of. If I had known this was the type of place in the beginning I woulda never have chosen to use them, over all the other better choices my workers comp gives. I SHOULDA GONE STRAIGHT TO KERLAN-JOBE and DOCOTR KHARRAZI, which so many firefighters have used. Just seems like this place is over hyped and not worth it. With as many doctors that show at this location seems like it's just laziness for no one to step up and help.
