Your back is a pretty important part of your body (and, actually I had forgotten from HS Bio all there is to your "back"!)...so I have been increasingly worried over the last six weeks about what is really wrong. Enter my first visit to Dr Schiff. The first thing I have to rate is the staff. Exceptionally pleasant, efficient - the office runs like a very smooth machine. I did have the second earliest appt (815) and arrived before the first person, so I was seen swiftly. Always a plus in a dr visit. I talked with his nurse, Sonia (yep, I got her card as I left, too), about medical history (looong) up to my current problems. She even let me answer out loud instead of writing all my answers down on that darn paper, and just put them in the laptop. Then I got Xrays done (another nice person whose name I wish I remembered!) and was right back to the exam room. Dr Schiff arrived quickly (see, this efficient thing is a repeat theme) and probably spent 20-30 min with me. Sparing you all the results, let's just say it's not dire but it's not great. He and I covered the pain, the locations, all that and he did a full bend here/push that/move this way exam. He ALSO said- I think this is very important- that we would cross that bridge if/when needed when I inquired about the shots (um, epidurals) that can be administered for some kinds of pain/injury. Whew. And I hope that the regimen of 4-6 wks of PT (they have several PT offices in convenient locations as part of their practice), the 6 day course of Medrol and a muscle relaxant at night will get me back on the right road. He also noted that this must NOT be treated as a "no pain, no gain" kinda thing and I can do yoga, but with modifications and a hard stop if anything hurts. Yes, sir. I don't love needing a back dr but I am grateful I was sent to Dr Schiff.

My OBGYN dismissed it as nothing but it was a huge discomfort to me that I needed fixed. Dr. Ugell took x-rays to pinpoint the problem and then after a few weekly adjustments, I had my normal walk back and everything was perfectly aligned. I'm back now for a knee problem that I had ignored for a few years and the treatments that Dr. Ugell are doing are starting to work. Prior to my visit, my knee would lock up in certain places and there was a scary popping sound when I would walk up and down stairs. So far, my knee doesn't lock up and the popping noise is starting to decrease. I'm glad I still had Dr. Ugell's number and I am confident in my decision to return. He is very professional and someone whom I would consider as a friend now since I've been coming here for years. Contact Abdul (manager) seem to have no real concern or knowledge of what is transpiring only to make excuses of services not being provided. Then spoke with Faqeer (Abdul manager) apologize and advised to address it. New aid female(70 year old home-health aid) was assigned to assist my mother that arrived late daily. Friday & Saturday didn't arrive until after 4pm schedule for morning 10am. Consistently expressed she was not advised or aware of care needs (meal preparation - cooking, reheating, etc / laundry/ bathing/ assisting with putting on clothes). Female aid advised of her religion not to prepare food she doesn't eat, she will not touch or prepare. Also due to her age can't assist with bathing. Wasn't very accommodating. Advised to leave mother keys and gate card on her counter and left. It is now Sunday no aid no return call from company no responses. For an entire week my mother missed breakfasts & lunches due to late or no arrivals. Baths due to late or no arrivals. Do not recommend this company at all for the care of your loved ones. Was very hopeful with services after speaking with Faqeer and him advising to address the concerns from previous aid and manager communication.
