I perused their menu, and decided on a latte for my caffeine boost. I also got an iced lemonade, due to the hot weather, and an bottled mineral water. In a rarity for me, I also got a donut. My buddy got an iced mocha, which he said came out pretty good. I could tell that our drinks and pastries were made with good quality ingredients. Their offerings are standard to what you'd find at other coffee shops, and their pastries are similar to what you'd expect to see at a Mexican bakery back home in LA. There is plenty of seating in this place. There is indoor seating which is perfect to get work done on a laptop, or to sit and chat with friends. There is a large outside patio in the back, where my buddy and I sat for a few minutes before carrying on touring the city.

I'd go here again if I'm ever back in this airport. Nice servers too. Bonus: I sat on the bench lining the wall and there's plugs for you to charge your things while you wait for boarding.

I actually did not realize, before sipping this one, how creamy and tasty it can be when made correctly! Trying to eat in a light way today -- while waiting for the carne asada elsewhere later -- the Mediterranean salad turned out to be just about perfect, too (the small green juice was included with the salad, resulting 165 pesos today). I need to come back here soon to check out the other plates.

Menta Maya is my favorite meal prep and delivery service in Monterrey. They offer several standard…read moreoptions (maintenance, low carb, keto, etc.) and they'll specialize or customize a menu for you. They offer up to three meals a day, and you can make some choices. Deliveries are daily to your home or office. I get lunch and dinner delivered between 11:00 and 13:00 daily at the office. The meals are well packed, and though I should probably put them in the refrigerator they stay just fine on my office shelf. The food stands up well to eat room temperature later (salads) or be heated up later. The variety is good, no repeats inside the same week, and the food is flavorful. They are thoughtful to make sure meals feel like meals, soup with a small sandwich or salad, so that it doesn't feel just like soup for example. The meals are filling, and I don't need to add anything to them or round out with snacks. The price is reasonable, too. Depending on menus you pay for the number of meals and days, and they calculate delivery based on your area.

This location of Monterrey classic breAd is in one end of bicycle shop domestique. It has just a…read morefew tables, and while it doesn't carry the whole breAd menu, it carries a good selection of iced and hot coffee drinks, some canned and bottled beverages, and solid variety of their fresh baked goods (though I think all the baking is done at a different location). I've been to this location a couple of times a week for the last couple of years. It generally has a fairly steady stream of customers, except when it's really hot out. The staff is generally efficient and friendly, but sometimes they're processes get in the way of efficient service. Coffee drinks are hit and miss of quality, temperature, and flavor. I've had excellent lattes and americanos, and ones that are so off that I've dumped them. I haven't really figured out what causes it as it can be weeks or even months of good ones, and then ... their off. I love lattes, lavender lattes, and they have one that used to be great. Now it's generally so-so and sometimes just bad, sometimes it doesn't even taste or smell like lavender, and even with this, I still keep coming back for it, so .... go figure?! The star of the show here is the bread. You can purchase fresh loaves of baguette or brioche. They often have a light brioche that is excellent for sandwiches. They'll even slice it there. They generally have a good selection of muffins, too. The banana-nutella and triple chocolate are both delicious. The muffin batter is a good density and not too sweet, and the mix-ins are well distributed and rich, velvety. Their croissants are solid (regular, almond, chocolate), and they generally also have fruit-filled baked goods, cookies, biscotti (good texture, but flavor is only so-so), scones, and some more traditional Mexican baked goods. They added pre-made sandwiches (BLT, caprese, tuna, etc.) which are good in a pinch, and in the last few months, they sometimes have pre-made salads. Sometimes they have a freezerful of Bola (same owner) ice cream, usually in single serving sizes. These creative flavors rotate, so it's worth checking them out to see what's new or interesting. Ice cream in Mexico tends to have a lower fat content so the consistency isn't as creamy as I'm used to, but this is very good, and the flavors are well-done. Lately they've also had their famous pizza crust. The crusts are thin and frozen. Get a jar of the sauce they carry, find some cheese, and bake them up at home. They are very good.

They carry organics, imported, and regional. Deli meats and cheeses are here, too, along with frozen selections for these categories. Moving around you come to a full on Mexican and European bakery, sourdough and rye, yes. Fresh baguettes, yes. Pan dulce, donuts, tortilla, masa, chips, croissants, in all shapes and sizes. FRESH. FRESH. FRESH. Made daily. They do not carry everything you'd see at many traditional Mexican bakeries, but they carry enough. They also carry full and mini sizes in some of their traditional Mexican pan dulce and bread. And it is good. I head here or order treats from City Market's panaderia almost every weekend. Closing out the second floor are several restaurants, yes, restaurants. Seafood, Italian, coffee shop, paella. Yes, yes, yes. And it's good. You can sit in one place and order from all, if you want. The food is fresh and good. The staff is attentive. Mixed in the upstairs and downstairs are high end dishes and kitchenware, higher quality than you will find in most stores in Mexico, and beautiful. You'll find everything from standard dishes and serviing sets to a wide range of glassware and cookware. The first floor is primarily grocery with a large craft beer, Mexican and imported, soft drinks, waters, and lots of imported, European and Asian grocery staples. Their dairy cases and fresh vegetables and fruits are high quality. If they don't have it, it's probably not available in the city. You can take a field trip to City Market or you can just go get what you need - maybe!
