We were referred to the voucher program for a recliner and clothing assistance to help us through, but things were mishandled from the start. The initial paperwork was dropped by Olivia, and we never received the recliner. When I returned to the store to use the rest of the voucher, I was met with condescension and raised voices from the store manager, Lisa. When I explained that I felt disrespected, her response was "to me," disregarding how I felt entirely. She also said, "I don't understand why you're getting so emotional right now," which was incredibly insensitive given the circumstances -- though she didn't know about my medical issue, showing empathy shouldn't depend on that. She insisted she was no longer handling the issue with Olivia and that she was "doing it with her" (referring to herself), and told me I "should've called" -- as if I had the time or emotional capacity to navigate internal confusion during a medical crisis. This organization is supposed to lift people up when they're struggling. Instead, I was made to feel like a burden. I truly hope leadership at St. Vincent de Paul reevaluates how store management treats people in vulnerable situations.

OK I understand that, then they went to monthly deals that weren't all that great but it was something. As for the March deals none. Asked for the manager to see why and was told it was because corporate offices didn't give them any special offers for the customers. Please keep in mind these are the same people who DONATE to the Goodwill stores!!! Please what kind of store treats the customers that donate to them in that manner???? Seems to me one that doesn't remember why Goodwill came to be!!

A customer bumping his cart into me and was using extreme profanity in the store the other day and the management on duty was extremely weak in their response to this belligerent customer who was using profanity in front of customers and their children, and in front of a responding employee . Asked them repeatedly to take action and they acted weak in their response to this customer who clearly crossed the line. Today when I followed up with this manager and she smirked and turned petty and unprofessional Screamed at me in front of my kid (petty and childish behavior) as we were making our last donation ever after I asked for an apology she acted childish and asked me to apologize. I believe management at this location is poor and I think the other locations are run much better. This manager was a poor example to the employees nearby which witnessed her childish behavior. I will never shop or donate at this location again.

The staff member was very rude and unhelpful, making me feel uncomfortable for simply trying to make sure my daughter was well cared for. Today, I came prepared with the diaper bag in hand, yet I was informed that my daughter would not be allowed to stay due to the previous complaint. It's incredibly frustrating to be penalized for something that was out of my control, and it's upsetting to feel like my daughter's well-being isn't their priority. I decided to cancel my membership today because I cannot justify paying for a service where my child is not welcomed or cared for properly. I will not be returning to a facility that doesn't offer reliable and respectful service. Unacceptable, and I would not recommend the YMCA to others based on this experience.

That would be tolerable, but the kicker is that they will randomly decide that our daughter "Has to go home" because they notice some innocuous symptom. I wouldn't mind if they had a universally strict policy for infection control, but they don't. They allow sick kids to attend regularly, and then randomly send children home with no rhyme or reason. If you need reliable daycare, you can't rely on the YMCA. I'd go elsewhere.

I was recruited by Kristine Fullerton at Halpin Staffing and worked at Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency(Kenosha location). I was terminated after 5 weeks for being "too helpful." I was told ALL OF MY BELONGINGS WOULD BE RETURNED TO ME IMMEDIATELY. My property was packed up at RKCAA while I was NOT PRESENT, so I knew some of my belongings were going to be missing. I was told I could pick up my belongings from the Halpin office in Kenosha and I could not contact RKCAA ever again. When I arrived at Halpin to retrieve them, I immediately noticed some of my belongings were MISSING. I went back inside and notified the receptionist at Halpin right away. After about a week of going back and forth trying to collect everything else that was stolen from me, I met with Shawn, manager at Kenosha Halpin, who gave me 8 of my small items and explained Gary Cotton at RKCAA said that's all they could "find" for me. OVER $150 OF MY PROPERTY WAS STOLEN AND I WAS TOLD THERE'S NOTHING MORE THEY WILL DO FOR ME!! Isn't THEFT illegal? I've never done a review for a previous employer, but STEALING FROM SOMEONE IS ILLEGAL AND I WANT ALL OF MY PROPERTY RETURNED! I HAVE PICTURES, PRICES, EMAILS AND ADMISSION OF GUILT BY RKCAA (because they did give me a few things, so that proves they kept some of my belongings)TO SHOW PROOF OF THIS! (My review was responded to buy the owner of Halpin, but their response contains false statements)
