I'm no driver, but my Mum and I had to use this car park when last in town, so I can give you my experience of this. For starters, it's pretty hard to get to if you're either not a driver or not used to the Leeds one-way system. We actually went around the city loop a few times trying to figure out how to get to the right road in.
The actual amount of spaces seems good -- if nothing else, savvier drivers will have found the cheaper spaces in the city, so you can usually expect a spot given the extortionate rates. I think we did a two hour trip and that was a tenner. A whole ten pounds for a few hours -- I'm sure that ought to be illegal.
As far as safety goes, you're right near the bus station where it can get a bit dodgy, but it seemed legit. Paying and sorting the ticket was simple enough too. The main bonus?
