I discovered this theater early last year after the movie I wanted to see at the usual theater I'd go to was sold out. Once I saw the ticket price, I had to go and decided to grab my ticket through their app. Now while the ticket prices cannot be beat, they find a way to get their money back and that's through the concessions. I do appreciate the unlimited popcorn so that's a win. The movies I've come to are never crowded and while the seats don't recline, they're comfy enough for me. The staff are always friendly and I have generally had a pleasant experience each time I've visited. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how warm the theaters get at times. Overall this is a decent place to come from movies and they have a pretty good rewards program which also keeps me coming back! read more

Overpriced. Small basket of 4 tenders is 12 bucks. (3 buckets for each tender). These tenders remind me of school cafeteria food but more worse. The tenders smell like fish, and they felt so soggy and uncooked, they weren't even edible. Whenever I tried telling the worker that I wanted to change my order she gave me a dirty look. When I went to buy me a new order of nachos the lady put a lot of cheeses on the nachos when I never told her to. There was more cheese than nachos, they drenched my nachos with cheese. read more

A nice theater that is clean with self-served popcorn. I like the idea. Glass was fuzzy a little, but it's popcorn. It's not going to be windex clean all the time. But I like it. I can get a little. Pour butter. Get more. Pour more butter. And it's quiet. I had the theater to myself pretty much. No loud talking. And one thing I really, really liked. Started on time with no previews. So be on time. I like that. I hate 25 to 35 minutes worth of previews. read more

The movie prior was a kid movie in the theater looked like there was a party of 1 million people with popcorn and bags and trash everywhere in any case is currently 7:19 PM and they still haven't started the movie or allowed us to go sit in our seats. I typically visit this location often due to relaxation and comfort purposes. However, on today's Dec 21, 2024 I went to watch Mufasa and the theater as a whole from the screening room, to the lobby, and the restrooms were extremely filthy! It was so bad that another customer had to get a worker to come clean the theater room. As paying customers we deserve to watch a movie in a clean environment. Horrible! Ncg Acworth is great but marietta is the pits. It is often nasty and not kept up. The floor is sticky around the drink machines where one has spilled. The staff was notified and no one moves to fix things. They don't care. There are napkins all over the place where people drop them and no one picks anything up. Came to this location on Valentine's day. My date and I wanted too watch the movie "The Photograph". It was a great movie. Definitely will make you laugh or even cry. We bought or tickets online so it was a breeze getting the printed out ticket. We went a little early, so we had to wait until they cleaned it for the next showing off the movie. They have actually remodeled the seats in the theater. They are much softer and seems like it's more leg room as well. I love coming on Tuesdays for their specials. read more

I'm so torn. "You get what you pay for" comes to mind when visiting this theater. And even with 2 stars, we have come here more than once. Two words: tickets & popcorn! LOCATION/AMBIANCE: Located off of Powder Springs and sitting tucked away behind the Firestone, it's a movie theater I pass often without noticing. The inside of the theater is very much "the bare minimum" in regards to ambiance and decor. The BIGGEST issue for me is the lack of cleanliness. There's always garbage outside, or popcorn on the floor everywhere. The seats are often sticky, covered in napkins or popcorn. Whenever we have gone we rarely sit in our "chosen seat" because we have to move due to cleanliness. Same thing with the bathrooms--double check before you "go" because I was left waiting for the next person who walked in to hand me some toilet paper. Haha! You've been warned! SERVICE: There have been a few nights we've gone and no one even checks your ticket. The people working (for the most part, but probably not everyone) kind of seem indifferent to their job. Again, the bare minimum. HOWEVER--THE REASON WE GO: It's stupid cheap compared to any other movie theater. $10.00 a ticket (or $8.00 for senior/child) AND you get free refills on your popcorn bucket. So... even though it's not the fancy night out (I would not recommend going here on a date), if it's near your neighborhood and you just want to go checkout a Wednesday night movie or something, it is an okay place to end up. Though it's not my favorite movie theater the price alone has swayed us a few times. Easy, cheap and convenient. Never crowded! read more

Giving a rating of four stars mostly because of the prices. I think it is very reasonably priced and I really like the free refills on the popcorn and drinks. The seating is pretty comfortable and there is priority seating available at an up charge. Their priority seating looks slightly more separated than the general seating which allows for a tad bit more privacy. Overall it was a good experience, the only thing I would say is that it isn't very clean. There is a lot of spilled popcorn everywhere and no one was picking it up. 4 stair experience. I pulled in the security guard was out front munching on some dill pickle sunflower seeds then I double parked the Toyota caravan and hop out like a pimp. The seats recline pretty cool although mine was broken, and I lifted up the bottom cushion, and there was a cupboard about the size of a small child. read more

We've been regular customers for this location since it opened several years ago. A couple of recent visits haven been disappointing b/c there are staff standing around & there are messes everywhere. I was most disappointed in the ladies restroom. Some sinks are not working, toilet paper is missing in several stalls, the restroom needs to be swept/cleaned regularly (like every hr or two) as there is toilet paper all over the the floor. The cleaning standards have dropped & that's disappointing to see, but especially due to Covid protocols. It's concerning to see a messy restroom & having to find a stall that has toilet paper, a sink that has soap & one that actually works. There was popcorn & napkins on the lobby floor where some staff were just leaning on the counter & not bothering to clean it up. I hope this is just a bad day for them, but it's been like this the past couple of visits we've been there (within the past few months). read more

So I was the only one there on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm, the theatre was empty so there was no stress on the staff. Everything was organized and clean, men's bathroom was spotless. The seats were clean and they have two rows of reclining seats with food trays. It's a smaller theatre and seems like a family friendly location. If you're going for just the movie experience alone I would say this is a good afternoon spot, I can't speak for evening time. If you are looking for a more exciting lobby, this is not the location for you, the lobby was clean but nothing special, I'd describe it as very generic and dull. I used to be a big fan of this theater. Applause to the new seating...love it. Ticket pricing and concessions are by far the best of any other cinema...so I don't complain about the overall theater decor not as modern looking as most. My biggest complaint last couple of visits is the movie sound. It's absolutely abysmal. I can't freaking hear any of the dialog...or any of the action. I saw Batman last weekend...and it's like they mumbled the whole movie. Can't tell whether the movie was bad or the lack of sound made it that way. If they're supposed to have surround sound...system needs serious upgrade. Waste of money until they provide a fix. Sorry NCG. I'll come back when you fix this. read more

I'm going to start with the seating because it was advertised and reviews mentioned new seating .Upon buying the tickets I can pick my own seats . This isn't anything new these days . It's seeming to become almost the standard . My problem with the seating is the red seats cost 2 bucks more in order to be able to recline and have the choice to use the ottoman or what I would say , put your feet up. It's literally two rows of red chairs . Therefore when they're sold out that's it on putting up your feet . Ehh! Whatever, it is ;what it is. I'm just letting you know . Moreover the other chairs so -called recliners are without the ottoman . However , they don't automatically recline . You push back with your back, but it will not remain in a reclined position unless you want to continue to push the floor with your feet, in order to remain in that position. No thanks , this is not comfortable. Otherwise you sit straight up as if you're in coach on the airplane. The Invisible Man wasn't playing at the Acworth location. Therefore , I decided to take a chance here . It's ok , not bad. The theater was clean and the popcorn was fresh. I won't go out of my way to visit again because the chairs aren't comfortable, but they were clean and if great condition. There is ample foot room for passerby's. If chairs aren't a big deal to you , this is the place for you . I'm harder to please after visiting much nicer places . I read more

I went back e to hope things were better. NOT Popcorn is still $9 and total bill almost $50 for granddaughter and me. This time no melted butter. And no discount. Popcorn was old. Drink machine was syrupy and sticky and ran out even at the first movie. What is happening here?. Then I get in the theatre and is horribly dirty. The floors have napkins, wasted drink and popcorn likes it's been a party in it. They hadn't cleaned it and it's after 12 noon! Regal Austell theatre went out of business and it was going down. Now this one once very good one may be on its way out too. In the future, I think I will take the long drive to AMC Barrett Parkway. read more

I just paid the equivalent of my mortgage for a bucket of popcorn and you can't at least provide me with some plain old salt with my popcorn--and I'm not taking about that funky flavored concoction you sell for an extra charge. We were disappointed last night as we went to see the new Guardians movie at the Marietta, Ga. Location. It started at 8:30 pm and we arrived about 8:10. We purchased our tickets on the app and a $3 convince fee was added- which seems odd as we are basically making it more convient for the workers as the have less to do... anyway, the high priced concessions were normal for a theater but surprisingly the drink machines were working but there were very few selections, no coke or sprite etc. . There were no napkins available in the many dispensers. The pop corn was being popped but it wasn't very tasty. It was crunchy but there were burnt pieces and no salty taste. The theater was dirty, popcorn in the crevices of the seats, floor was sticky which was obviously too much from just one day. BUT- the worst thing was the large amount of grain moths flying around. We were constantly swatting at them and they were very visible as the movie was going, This is the kind that infest flour, bird seed, grain and corn... (very difficult to get rid of, however easily preventable by just storing the corn in the freezer)...this also led us to believe that we probably were eating some too. When the movie was over (11:30 ish pm) the bathrooms were closed off- after a 2+ hour movie most people use the bathroom before heading home... There were other movies still playing. The movie was great, however, we didn't feel that the food or theater was clean, sanitized, or healthy. read more

First time we have been to this theater. It is very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and ready to help. We love the fact that they offer free refills on any size popcorn and drink. The lobby is very spacious and nicely decorated. The restroom is clean. The theater seats are super comfortable and a good size. I didn't feel cramped at all. The seats we sat in reclined, so nice! Terrible front-of-house experience. Don't bother buying tickets online, you'll still have to wait at the concession stand. When I asked the ticketing stand why they don't have a scanner, a woman said they weren't that high-tech yet. Which is confusing because they're high-tech enough to install the ticketing system with VIP seats but can't figure out how to put a scanner on the WiFi network? They don't offer water, they have a sign advertising lime drinks. When I asked if the machine had Sprite Lymonade, I was told "yes." The answer should have been "no," as lymonade wasn't an option. The theater itself is also dirty. The seats have personal food trays, and mine was covered in salt and sticky from soda. Could be that someone forgot to wipe it down this one time, but I doubt it. read more

We have been coming here a few years now. We used to love this theater, and I would always buy concessions even if I didn't want much, because I know that is where most theaters really make their money. I have been battling cancer (and have beaten it), and have had a few surgeries in recent times, nearly back to back. So, for some time now I haven't gotten out much, and for several months, I have been homebound. I finally felt good enough to try and get out, my first time really getting out in a few months. I was eager to see a movie I have been waiting for, since I saw the first trailer months back. I actually thought I might have to wait until it hit home video or streaming to catch it. So I was stoked I felt good enough to see it on the screen, at what was my favorite theater. During the climax of the film (which is arguably usually the MOST important part of a film), some employees come into the room, making noise and talking, then sit just a few seats away from us, and decide it is a good time to have a conversation. Come to find out, one of them was supposedly a manager! A theater manager should know better than that. There is no point in going to this theater anymore, if this garbage is the type of management they employ. That is the person who is supposed to lead by example, and he sets a terrible one. read more

This place is actually a joke. I love the Brookhaven location and thought I'd try this one since I moved to Marietta. We ordered cinnamon pretzel bites and a drink. Headed to the coke machine and they are out of LITERALLY every drink. Go over to get our food- they are out of the pretzel bites. Got a refund then head to the theater and the seats don't recline. The seats aren't the biggest deal but it was such a let down after have going to the Brookhaven location. Wont ever be coming back read more

The staff seems like they are ready to go home and one staff member ever had a horrible attitude when we and my fiancé asked a question. NCG is one of our favorite theaters and worth 5 stars for many reasons: 1) clean 2) seats are modern, comfortable and recline more than usual seats. they are also more spacious. nothing fancy just a simple movie theatre. 3) service is quick because it's more self service - you buy your ticket from an employee, they hand you your cups and popcorn bags and then you go get your snacks. it makes a difference! and the prices are reasonable. you don't feel like you need to sneak anything into this theatre. you can afford all the junk you want, yeah!!! The popcorn at NCG is almost always fresh which is a huge plus for an avid movie goer like me. If the popcorn sucks I cry inside, just a little bit, lol. They have a reward program but we don't really use it because...well, I'm not sure why (maybe we should start). A few downers: 1) Showtimes are not always the best. they seem to be on the odd hours which isn't always convenient for our family. 2) Parking can be a problem when new movies are out - it fills up quickly. But depending on the time you may be able to park in the business lot next door. If you haven't checked it out because it looks kinda plain, don't be a snob - go inside and see or yourself. The Valentine and I were looking for a place to catch Bruce Willis A Good Day to Die Hard which was released on Valentines Day. Not wanting to deal with the hassles that come with Atlantic Station or Phipps Plaza, we went to Fandango to see if it was playing (a) someplace closer to home (b) a movie theater that wasn't packed to the gill. This place fit the bill. Less than 5 minutes from his house and a new theater for both of us. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly young lady ready to take not only our ticket request, but you also place your concession order with her. We asked about the various questions, and the young lady told us about their "rewards" card, where you get a free movie ticket after 10 ticket purchases. Nice. It doesn't give you discounts or free concessions however. Also, this is standard movie fare, popcorn, nachos, pretzels, and candy, there are no Hot dogs, pizza, wings etc being served here. The young lady that assisted me said the management has informed them that there are no plans to add these items later as a means to keep cost down. Large bag of nachos, the two of us shared one bag and added an extra cheese sauce for $1. Free refills on drinks an popcorn. The seats in the theater were comfortable, and I almost gasped aloud when my chair leaned back so far, I though it was a recliner. Lots of leg room, so no laying the the persons laps behind you either. There was an off-duty Cobb County police officer, in the two hours we were there I felt I saw him every turn I made, when I got there he was monitoring the parking lot, then he was standing in the lobby, then I saw him come into our theater twice, when I went to the ladies room he was strolling the hallway where the theater are located, and after the movie was over, near the concessions stands. I went in to get my ticket to into the spiderverse cause my son wanted to see spiderman and the guy running the cash register was really slow, maybe check to make sure your employees aren't high. not only that but there is mildew in the popcorn. I was told this a few nights ago by a friend who used to work there and that is just disgusting. Get your act together guys. read more

The pricing was great because of the Tuesday special for $6 and the concessions are very reasonable. They may be the cheapest concessions I have ever paid for at a movie theater, but I really thought this theatre was old and run down. The surround sound in the theater was not what I'm accustomed to as it sounded like I was sitting in my living room far away from the TV. If you are a movie watcher like I am, don't choose this theater. If you want a nice cheap date and you don't care about the sound quality then this is the place for you. read more

The price was typically for the movies... my only issue was the cleanliness or should I say the lack there of. The drink area was messy. The movie theater was full of trash as we walked in. I love that I can come here and not spend a ton to watch a movie. About the theater: spacious, clean and the seats recline allll the way back. It felt as if I was sitting in a LayZBoy recliner. Ticket: $9!! Concession: $10 for a large tub of popcorn and a large soft drink both with FREE REFILLS!! I'm not sure who could go for seconds, but it's nice to know the option is available. The added touch was the variety of flavored toppings and butter at the popcorn station (nostalgia to when I was younger and these perks existed at the theaters...imagine the smile on my face!)
