I still play in a coed league twice a week. There still are some issues that lead to the 3 star rating. The drive into the place and the parking lot itself are plagued with pot holes, so you must drive carefully to avoid banging around your car. Some of the ceilings look like they could use some work, and while I did hear that they fixed the roof and there aren't garbage cans filled with water dripping down from the ceiling, I still have seen a ceiling leak or two. The pros are that it is close, much closer drive for those of us in the northtowns and even some in Buffalo than Sahlens or even Epic, and they are working hard to change things. They converted the old tennis courts to a second soccer field with new turf and lights. Over Christmas they redid the turf on the old field two so both are in good condition now. They are also renovating the entrance and desk area, complete with TVs for waiting parents and fans, and most recently it looks like the upstairs that used to be a bar seems to be heading in the direction of some sort of gym, it's still left to be seen what exactly it will be or how it will work but its great to see progress happening. They also seem to host a lot of events besides adult coed soccer, they are the home of the youth empire soccer league, regularly host baseball teams for practice, and host Joe Licata football on Sundays. Bravo sportsplex for looking to make a comeback, I applaud your efforts and look to see great things in the future.

He's learned a bunch of new skills and tricks, and had a blast at the second week long session of their summer camp this year. Being in Delaware Park on Ring Road is really nice, with the only downside of course being that parking can be tricky sometimes, so you definitely need to be strategic for weekend games. Having DSC as a safe outdoor activity for him to get out and play during COVID has been a life saver.

Nowhere else in Buffalo or Rochester has the same level of soccer interest and masses of soccer fans coming in and out of this block every Saturday and Sunday for the matches shown there. So DSC is getting quite a lot of interest, and it's helping them move some of their cool but slightly overpriced soccer items for sale. I fully support them, though, and any other grass roots soccer organizations in this country.

But if you go beyond Niagara Falls, USA and journey north, past Lewiston, you eventually reach Youngstown up by Fort Niagara, and there is a beautiful area of grassland and woods and the old Fort where the river meets Lake Ontario. It's a haunting and oft-ignored place. I would come up here for soccer, so this is a review specifically of the excellent soccer fields that are here. It was often windy and cold as hell, but I loved the fields. The grass was lush, green, sexy. It was always a lot of fun. I played here both in the BDSL and also for Woodland United who played at NCCC in a higher league a long time ago, but had away games and cup games here, sometimes. It was a great place to come to and scores a solid 4 despite the windiness, and how far away it is from most people's houses in WNY. And when I was fraught with worry about an upcoming game, I called it "Fraught Niagara".
