Was absolutely blown away by the quality of work done here. I somewhat knew what to expect when a buddy over at GC referred me here rather than going through their in-house techs. I too brought in the ol' axe in for a setup (initially) and wound up getting a re-fret with stainless and new tuners. Although I managed to get OTD with just the noted services, I really appreciated Nick going out of his way to adjust the bridge, dress up a body blemish, and install a new input jack. Awesome dude. Again, the work overall was impeccable. The guitar has great sustain now and even stays in tune when using the whammy. Great cosmetics. Felt like I was picking up a brand new guitar. Don't just take my word for it, check out the pics. Definitely my new go-to!

Thank you Nick, After you repaired the separating bridge and shined up my beloved Takamine 12 string she feels brand new and actually plays and sounds better then ever. The Cozart 12 string Strat Copy you set up all I can say is WOW !!!!!!! It plays and sounds super. You are indeed a master and I am very pleased with the results. The telecaster copy and my baby Taylor will be in your gifted hands soon :) Thanks Frank Parker Jr FilkFerret

Nick and Stacey are great guys to work with. I recently brought in my 2003 Malden Holly Keyser in so I could have replacement Sperzel tuners installed. They did a great job, and Stacey even plugged and colored the previous tuners' screw holes so that it would look more natural. Many people would not bother to do that (since no one usually spends much time looking at the back of a headstock), so that was a nice touch and shows their attention to detail. He also did some minor tweaking to the truss rod and now this guitar plays effortlessly and in tune all across the fingerboard. I have several other axes that need some TLC, and I will definitely be bringing them back to NC Guitar Works. Highly recommended !

Nick, thanks for an awesome setup on this Hummingbird. It is 100% ripmaster certified!

Gibson Hummingbird; full set up, lowered action and sanded down sharp fret edges. Perfectly done.

Excellent work on my 74 Les Paul Custom. Will bring more guitars here very soon. Very reasonable price for a great job!

To this day this remains my only electric guitar. It's really perfect, for me, thanks to this shop. They got it exactly right.

I went in today to purchase a new digital keyboard. I was helped by a gentleman named Jon St Pierre…read more(I think that's how you spell his name). He was very kind and very helpful. The specific keyboard I wanted was not in stock, but he ordered it for me to be delivered to my house. It's been quite some time since I've made a purchase at guitar center and the last time I was there buying a midi controller the lady helping me seemed pretty unmotivated and didn't seem to know anything about what I was looking to purchase. I'm really glad to say Jon St Pierre was very knowledgeable, very fast to help us and provide us with good customer service, and he had a great attitude. In my opinion he is a shining example of what customer service should be especially when spending hundreds of dollars on an instrument you hope will last for a long time.

(No power supply, rack folded in an unusable manner, etc..) When I asked about it, the sales associate said "yeah we usually don't bother keeping the low-end kits set up." I was looking at either an Alesis Strata Prime or Roland TD516. Both are about $3500. He told me to come back another day and they should be working. I went back today (ready to buy) and the Alesis is still missing the power supply. The same sales rep said, "yeah they keep disappearing." No offer to look for one or any sort of real assistance. Overall pretty disappointing.

My one hundredth review, brought to you by a two-time Lady Rockstar…read more First of all, ignore the shitty one-star review from the user who clearly doesn't get PML's mission, and hear out the point of view from someone who has done more than just one class at this organization and absolutely enjoyed her experiences here. I have done two Lady Rockstars classes, a women's weekend retreat and one of their many Girl Jams, all in the span of four and a half months! In doing so, I learned so much more than the music. These music classes don't just focus on the music, although learning the music is pivotal and the instructors here do a kickass job of teaching that (also they have Plugged In online classes that are totally affordable, if that's something you'd like to take advantage of). But another part of it is becoming empowered and learning to empower your other classmates. Also you build relationships with your classmates within the four weeks of your Lady Rockstars class, and you walk away having made friendships with some cool chicas. As a vocalist and performer, I've had experiences that were stressful, uncomfortable and super tense, even turbulent and volatile at times, and could not even enjoy the rehearsal process, as such awful atmospheres made it feel like work. Believe me when I say that PML offers a unique experience (and for some a therapeutic one), vastly different from anything else you've done. (No cattiness or bitchiness allowed here, either!) And for that, I am grateful and will thank Krystle a million times over. But don't take my word for it. Go down to PML, and check it out for yourself. Rock on!

I'm doing the online classes, and love the way Krystle teaches. She offers leveled lessons so you…read morecan choose the instructions most accessible to you. Her sense of humor and realness help when you're feeling frustrated or struggling with a song. I also love that she is promoting growth mindset without downplaying the importance of sticking with it until you get it right. I would love to do Lady Rockstars but live too far away. Maybe someday!
