She took the time to explain the laser hair removal process and gave me her honest opinions. I didn't feel "pushed" to buy products even though I did, there is nothing worse than having someone trying to sell you. I love that they carry PCA, it's my favorite skincare brand. There equipment is top of the line. I know that because I did a lot of research on lasers and the one they have is rated one of the best. You can't beat there laser hair removal pricing. Some places charge ridiculous prices for laser hair removal and don't even have the latest models. So I did my research from spas in Chicago all the way to the burbs and knew they'd be the best fit for me. While she performed the laser hair removal she was gentle and continuously asked how I was. I will be recommending them to family and friends. Looking forward to being a long term client. They always have great deals on there social media so make sure to check it out. They truly care about there clients. I have been to numerous estheticians and med spas and this is one of the best I've been to.

I chose Spavia Elmhurst after doing a lot of research and being willing to spend extra for what I…read moreexpected would be a high-quality, relaxing massage. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing spa experiences I've had. I booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage with the scalp oil and Hypervolt add-ons. Neither add-on was performed... my scalp was never touched and no massage gun was used though I was initially charged for both (they were only refunded after I reached out). The massage itself felt rushed and incomplete. Most areas of my body were barely worked on, and I left still in pain. When I got up, I noticed the digital wall clock in the room had been partially covered with a towel.. specifically, only the minutes portion was covered. I later realized the session had ended about 5-10 minutes early. Management later claimed that covering the clock is standard practice for guest comfort, but that explanation does not make sense. The clock was not bright at all, and there was a much brighter light left on in the corner of the room the entire time. If a digital clock is supposedly too bright and distracting, then it would make more sense to use a standard wall clock or not have a visible clock at all. Partially covering only the minutes, the part that tells you exactly how much time is left... felt like a very shady business practice rather than a comfort measure. I was also told afterward that my massage was shortened because I arrived late. However, when I checked in, the front desk assured me they were able to push my appointment back and accommodate me so that I would still receive my full 60 minutes. At no point before or during the massage was I informed that my session would be cut short. Letting a guest believe they are getting their full service and then ending early without any communication feels unprofessional. When I contacted them about all of this, the only thing offered was a complimentary add-on for a future visit. but only if I book and pay for another full-price massage. After already spending over $220 and being this unhappy, I don't find it reasonable to be asked to come back and spend another $200 just to receive a small add-on for free. A partial or full refund for the actual massage would have been far more appropriate. I have since been ignored. Overall, this experience did not match the premium price at all. I left sore, stressed, and disappointed. I would not recommend Spavia Elmhurst based on this visit.

Looking forward to going back in a couple of months for some new mommy treatment too! Being pregnant, I kept having these little breakouts. I would have never guessed that my skin needed hydration instead of pimple cream! Juliette did an amazing hydrating facial with a chocolate/milk mask (smelled good enough to eat!) to help get my skin back in balance. The thing I like most is her honesty and commitment to natural products. She said that 20% of skin care is going for a facial to get balanced, but 80% is maintaining your skin at home. She shares so many tips that are relevant for your skin at that given time. She even recommended that I use coconut oil which is so inexpensive and I would have never thought of that on my own. I also bought a very light weight "hydrating finishing moisturizer" from Juliette for daily use (only $20!! I am sure a container this size would have been double the price at other spas). Loving this moisturizer and the clean smell.

My skin was in not-so-great shape when I went to see her (thanks to the polar vortex) and she took her time explaining exactly what she was using, how it would help, and why I needed it. This is not a facial you'd receive at a generic spa. There's definitely periods of zone-out, but this was probably the most conversation I've ever had during a treatment - not a bad thing in my opinion, because she truly cares about what she's doing and wants to share it. I did feel a bit chided at some points - you know when you go to the dentist and they make you feel guilty for not flossing enough? - but Juliette has a motherly vibe that makes it more palatable. I will definitely be returning. Juliette is a gem and would probably have a celebrity following if this was NY or LA.

But what really stood out to me was that Lori didn't just do the service and send me on my way. I'm not someone who grew up knowing anything about skincare, and Lori broke things down in a way that was clear, practical, and not overwhelming. She answered my questions, made thoughtful recommendations, and never made me feel rushed or upsold. The space is calm, welcoming, and you can tell there's real care behind what they do here.
