I came to Elite for a groupon deal... What a great value! $35 for paraffin mani-pedi. Elite is located in a strip mall, nearby Portillos (nuff said right?), Chase bank and Caputos among all the other small shops. Once you make your reservation, they will text and email you with your appointment info. They also send you a text reminder 1 day prior. This is a full salon for aesthetics, hair and nails. Can't beat that! Thank you Holly for a great, friendly, and efficient service!!! PS: new customers will receive a 25% discount on your next visit!

She was very friendly and did an excellent job, I would definitely come back to her! Overall the appointment took about 1 hour 45 minutes. This was my first blow out/conditioning treatment and I was very happy with how clean my hair felt and how light it was once it was blown out. I didn't wash my hair again for 3 days after because it stayed looking clean and straight. I'd highly recommend this salon.

I've coming to C'zar, previously Namaste, for 5 years. I'll keep this brief because I'm known to…read moretalk too much and this could get long very quick. I've been getting my hair dyed since middle school. I'm very picky about my Latina hair texture, how it looks, how it's styled, and just... everything. I'm extra like that. However, Andrew is the ONLY HUMAN on this earth is trust with my hair (second to Papa God). My husband and I have considered moving to a different state twice in the past couple of years. When this happens, I don't think about the usual adult things like what am I going to do about my job? The dog? The house? I think.... How am I going to find someone like Andrew to do my hair? If you want someone who will tell you how it is, knows what looks good on you, and will put your hair first over his bottom line, that's Andrew. One time I considered getting a very expensive treatment done (think +$400 keratin treatment), which I'm sure he would've made good money on, and he flat out said "Bella, you don't need that. I'll do it if you really want to, but you don't need it." Absolute pleasure spending my hard earned money at C'zar. The people are amazing (so kind and funny and just human), the atmosphere is so relaxing, plus you can get hand massages and scalp massages when you get shampooed. Coming here is my little slice of Heaven!!! For reference for the pics: I always get balaye-type coloring done. Glazes in between. I come every 2-3 months ish.

This post will mostly be about my incredible massage therapist and Chinese medicine goddess: Chona…read more(like Donna with a CH). I don't think any massage by Chona is the exact same flow. She listens to your body and follows her intuition. Instead of kneading out the knots, she loosens the acupressure spots and releases tension. I also explored acupuncture with her which was a really cool experience. I always leave the spa feeling like a noodle:) I've been to the other Czar salon/spas and this is by far the most modern. I love that the spa is upstairs and away from the hustle/bustle of the salon. It is still a bit distracting because there are hair chairs/space that share a wall with the spa rooms. I guess that's just what you get for going to a spa inside a salon. I'm considering booking their acupuncture /massage special because Chona is incredible. She's been very helpful on my healing journey.

The move was stressful and it was time for a de-stressing, pleasant change. Self Care is important! At the end of the hair treatment, my friend was more stressed leaving than going in. I included stock images of what a proper balayage should look like, and the second photo is the treatment my friend walked out with. As an honest friend, I had to tell my girl that she had gotten 2000's highlights that were cut off before the roots. The benefit of the doubt is that this is the first balayage this stylist has ever attempted. The groupon didn't include a cut, just the balayage, which, okay - that's reasonable. But the stylist did charge more just because my friends hair was slightly thick and wavy, and not a 1 or 2a curl pattern??? The stylist then tried to detangle and straighten (flatten) my friend's hair which isn't the most flattering style for balayage. The stylist also tried to use a de-tangling solution rather than a cream, oil, or leave in conditioner. My friend, bless her soul, still tipped her stylist for the effort. But please, please do research before attempting another balayage.

Whether you are here for a simple trim or going full out with highlights, a cut, and more, you can be sure that you will be taken care of. While Rose is usually quite busy, she will always do her best to make room in her schedule for you. I don't live in IL anymore, but whenever I come back to visit family, I always make sure to stop and see Rose. I don't trust any other hairdresser with my hair. I had been getting my hair cut the same way for so long. But, I recently decided to try something new and get highlights. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted so Rose dyed and styled my hair for me. The result was absolutely perfect. I have never been happier with my hair. Definitely recommend Gossip Salon, as the interior is quite chic and everyone is so nice. If you come here though, be sure to see Rose!!

I was actually at a Yelp event once just having a good old time when someone behind me tapped me on my shoulders to tell me how great my highlights were. She wasn't even part of the Yelpers (just a restaurant patron) and was telling me that she is a hairdresser herself and she can spot a great highlight job when she sees it (that sounded redundant). I was so flattered! Rosemarie is usually booked up so I know I have to call in advanced to get an appointment. She is worth the wait, though! When I was out of the country, I had to go to another hairstylist because I couldn't hold out any longer (I waited 4 months!!) and it was a mess. I went back to her as soon as I got back to have the disaster fixed. Her prices are amazing!! AMAZING! Men's haircut is $20, Woman's haircut is around $40 and color varies depending on the hair length. For the haircut, she shampoos, cuts, blow dries, and then texturizes. She's an expert colorist and I've seen some of her clients that came from other salons to have their color fixed because it was a mess. She works at Gossip Salon, but you can call her direct line to make appointments - 630-307-0808.
