He was not in room and seem for nearly 3 hrs. Once seen did not listen. Barely touched foot said cellulitis and left. My husband had other questions which he was informed she's already with another patient and doesn't have time to come back. So he went home to start antibiotics. Several days later no improvement, can't walk, can't sleep missing work. I finally get him an appt with a dr. He walks in says you do not have cellulitis you have severe attack of gout. Gave him a shot of steroids with a rx for oral steroids. He started showing improvement that evening and slept all night for first time in 10days. 2 days later he still has a limp but can walk. Not only was my husband misdiagnosed and lost 2 full weeks of work the level of care at this facility is seriously lacking. I should have realized my the horrible reviews but being new I didn't know where else to turn.

BEWARE THESE FOLKS ARE PREDATORS!!!…read more They billed $14,000.00 for a CT Scan which anyone can get for between $280-$423 (source radiologyassist.com). When we ask the billing department if this was right, this was their reply... "As far as the pricing of the scan , the charge amount is accurate. Baptist Health Care works with a consultant annually to review our prices. Prices are established based on our costs, market and payer." This is simply criminal.

When you're on vacation and get a kidney stone, you want to go somewhere where you'll be taken good…read morecare of. Ascension Sacred Heart does just that. My husband drove me to the ER, but I was getting sick so violently I couldn't get out of the care. ER personnel came out to our car with a wheelchair, waiting patiently in the warm sun till the spasms were over. From the moment I was wheeled in, everything was handled calmly and orderly and kindly. It was a weekday morning so it wasn't really busy and I was seen in just a few minutes. I was wheeled back to the ER where the real work began. Now, I'm in pain and there are things that have to be done before they can deal with the pain. I was patient through that. I understand. And what they had to do...take blood, set up an IV, hook me up to monitors, etc was conducted with efficiency and gentle care. Then came the pain meds. One had to be "pushed" through my IV. Having gone to nursing school (but not graduating), pushing a med via an IV is an important skill and my ER had it! She explained all that would happen as the drug entered my body. She kept reinforcing her explanation as the drug began to take effect. I appreciated that! A second pain med had to be administered and by the time I was rolled to get a CT scan, I was feeling much better. The PA in the ER knew exactly what to, popped in frequently to check on me and practically held my hand as the stone passed. The facility was SPOTLESS. All the staff were calm and kind and seemed to really like being in the medical field, helping people. I usually have more questions than the average patient, and each person I came in contact with STOPPED and took time to answer all my questions. You don't want to have a medical emergency when you're on vacation. But I am truly thankful that Ascension Sacred Heart was close by for my needs. Great place. Great people.

People and treatment was outstanding and my nurse was an Absolute pleasure in a bad time. But 14k for the "Surgical Procedure" (a colonoscopy) alone is absolutely atrocious and downright sickening. 0 Stars if possible.

The Nurses were very knowledgeable and thoughtful! I cut my right thumb at the mid-joint area and was afraid I may had done damage. It was a freak accident at a beauty salon. My barely 25‑year‑old daughter, Taylor, died after what multiple independent physicians and an…read moreautopsy have confirmed was reckless medical negligence and neglect in an HCA Florida Hospital where she was taken after being rear‑ended at a red light. Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue.
