Shanon was very accessible to ask questions and texts during the week. I traveled and spent some time in a hotel gym, had to modify my workout at elevation, and had some PT issues with my knee. Shanon was very quick to answer texts to help me accommodate my workout. He has a great way to help you even if you can't get in for personal training by having you take videos and he can give feedback with audio and drawing lines to show better form. This was really key to online training especially when lifting heavy. I am one to have done a ton of different workout styles and have worked with several trainers so I was hesitant to pay for some vanilla type of training but I learned a ton with Shanon that's useful for ongoing maintenance.

We had a private chef come to our home two times a week and requested Mediterranean style low carb meals. Despite that, he consistently prepared high carb pasta dishes and heavier meals each time. We tried redirecting and clearly specifying the amount of protein we wanted in each meal, but nothing changed. The final time he came, he prepared one entrée, one appetizer, and two sides, and the total came to $600. The portions were enough for only two people. When we contacted the representative, they agreed that the price was unreasonable for such a small amount of food and told us we would receive a significant discount on a future meal prepared by a new chef. Unfortunately, it took over a year for anyone to reach out about arranging that replacement chef.

She was clearly very well prepared and had thoroughly reviewed my chart ahead of time. She asked thoughtful follow-up questions, listened carefully to my concerns, and worked with me to develop a clear plan moving forward. Dr. Rothman took her time and did not make me feel rushed which is rare these days, unfortunately. I appreciated her attentiveness, professionalism, and the quality of her recommendations. I left the appointment feeling heard, informed, and confident about next steps. I highly recommend Dr. Rothman without hesitation.

I have been using the Endocrinology clinic at UCH for the past 3 years and cannot say enough…read morewonderful things about Dr. Rothman. I have had Type 1 diabetes for 26 years and have Graves Disease with thyroidectomy and hypoparathyroidism. I wear a pump and a CGM. Needless to say, I have had lots of experience with endocrinologists and doctors in general and Dr. Rothman may very well be the best one I have ever worked with. She always remembers me and looks at her past notes before coming in to the room. She always asks, listens to, and values my opinions. She looks to help minimize insurance costs and unnecessary tests or appts and is always prompt to respond to emails through the secure health portal. My A1C has improved from 8+ to 6.5 while working with the clinic. She is positive and encouraging, even when my blood sugars are not as good as they should be. I actually look forward to visits with Dr. Rothman - it feels like visiting with an old friend (while sharing waay too much medical information :) ) In addition to seeing Dr. Rothman I also work with a diabetic educator. I am probably overly critical but have had mixed experiences with the educators and now work only with Jenny Madrid, who is equally wonderful and encouraging and offers creative solutions to improving my blood sugars without being pushy. I had a chance to switch to Kaiser insurance this year for better benefits but stayed with United just to keep this team.
