Her talent and ability to create such incredibly stunning photos is priceless!! For our initial meeting, I met with Maura and Sarah in a beautiful little studio. It was not only extremely helpful (information wise), but so much fun! They even gave me recommendations on other vendors, which I definitely took advantage of and very much appreciated. (They absolutely knew what they were talking about. :) ) A week or so after we saved our date with her, we received the sweetest package in the mail. It was from Maura, thanking and congratulating us. Brightened my day, it was so incredibly thoughtful! Maura and Sarah both came up to Santa Fe to take our engagement photos. We subjected them to our crazy chocolate lab (in a public place, so it wasn't easy). They were so great with her, very patient and so helpful with getting her to cooperate. Our engagement photos were fantastic, we loved every single one. I met with Maura one last time to go over all the details of the day. What was planned, who my vendors were so she could give them credit (again, so thoughtful), what we needed to decide picture wise, etc. It was fun and exciting to sit and chat with her about all of it. The day of the wedding Sarah tracked us down all on her own and made things happen. Very chaotic day, not sure what we would have done without her. She was amazing, took charge of getting what she needed for photos and we didn't have to think about a thing. She was so perfect at coordinating everyone, getting peoples attention when needed, and her patience is incredible. She was everywhere at all times and didn't miss a thing. There was a hiccup with our food, so the timing of everything was prolonged quite a bit. Sarah made sure she stayed to get everything and then some. We so appreciate her in every way! Unfortunately, Maura was already taken for our wedding day, but she was somehow able to squeeze our first look in. We were so thrilled she was able to be there! Her and Sarah took breathtaking photos from every angle of our first look. So in love with every single one, and so grateful to have those!! I was really touched that Maura made sure to make that happen for us. I can not put into words how much I love our wedding photos! I got to actually experience the day. They got everything. The smallest details, the spontaneous happenings and the precious moments. Every single photo is perfect in every way. So thrilled to have gorgeous memories to last a lifetime!! Maura Jane Photography went above and beyond. So incredibly talented and I am so honored I was able to have them as our photographers. Best decision ever!!

The fiancee met Kira at a wedding fair and offered her a fantastic deal in comparison to the other…read morephotographers. Don't be tempted by her siren call, you will be better off going with a relative with a camera. At the wedding fair, Kira took our money and had the fiancee sign a contract immediately. Once the money was in her pocket, it's like Kira stopped caring. Despite several e-mail requests, we never got a copy of the contract. Even A MONTH LATER, still no contract to protect us. She could've failed to show up at the wedding and we would've had nothing to show for it. Whenever she called, she didn't even know who the fiancee was even though we were just returning her call! On the phone, she told us we would get engagement photos for free. When we asked where we should do it, her response was "I don't know, just look somewhere online." Then later on, she said we wouldn't get engagement photos. When we finally got fed up, we tried to cancel and insisted on getting our deposit back. She refused to do so claiming it was 'non-refundable' as stated on the contract that WE NEVER RECEIVED. It's a scam, you'll get better returns sending money to a Nigerian prince. Your wedding day is a special day, and there's nothing special about Kira. In fact, due to her lack of professionalism and unethical business practices, you'll be better off going with one of the true professionals.

The reason I tell this story is because that's how I met Ciree. She was in Colorado shooting an event, and I spotted her from across the crowd. Luckily, she needed a ham, or someone willing to pose, so we struck up a conversation and had a couple of laughs. I also asked Ciree if she did photo shoots, and she said she did. So I scheduled some time with her while she was in Colorado before she headed back to California. We communicated via email to get ideas of what to expect and what to wear, and then we just happened to pick a very hot summer day at sunset with Cherry Creek State Park and Reservoir as a beautiful backdrop. I guess it was karma that the mosquitoes wanted to photobomb our photo shoot, but Ciree had brought some sage that she had picked to burn, and it did help a bit. Ciree makes her subjects feel comfortable, which is good, because anyone who has posed for pictures knows that sometimes it seems like what you're doing is wacky at the moment. But when you get to see the proofs, you understand the photographer (in this case Ciree) knows what they are doing. I was so happy to have met and worked with Ciree. Not only is she professional, but she's fun and full of stories. We both like to travel, so we were able to share stories. And she's a pet lover, so keep that in mind if you want to pose with your furry kids. Ciree offers all sorts of packages and products, so you will find something that will work for you. Trust me, you won't be disappointed booking with Ciree!

I was planning this wedding not only in 6 months but also long-distance, so finding a photographer was a little tricky considering I couldn't meet with anyone face to face. I spoke to several photographers/companies over the phone that didn't seem to fit, before I spoke with Will and he was extremely knowledgeable and kind. An easy choice from the rest. When it came to scheduling, Will was easy to communicate with and very quick to get back to me promptly. He was open to specific shots that I wanted done (first look, sunset, etc) and was very knowledgeable about how we should go about scheduling them. On my wedding day I was a ball of nerves. Will was very calm and easy-going; he was able to set my mind at ease and provided clear direction while he took pictures. Will did an amazing job shooting our wedding! The pictures, our album, and our video were perfect! - More beautiful than we had imagined they could be. You can tell how passionate he is about capturing special moments, his true artistry, moments, most of which you didn't even know happened. If you hire Will, expect more than a handful of great shots. Expect to be overwhelmed with many beautiful choices. My husband and I were to pick 60-80 shots for our album, which seemed impossible because Will had so many great shots (definitely more than 80); it was extremely difficult to narrow it down but he worked with us so we could have a little more in our album. After our wedding, my only regret is that my husband and I didn't get a chance to have our engagement photos done with him. I would absolutely recommend him! Loved that they are a married couple, their story, and the beautiful work they had posted. All my correspondence with Desiree before the big day left me at ease, and excited! Friday (day before the wedding) we went out for our Connection casual pictures, and had a blast. Was a perfect time to get used to cameras, and get to know Desiree & Seth. The next morning I get a text from sweet Desiree, and she sent us a surprise sampling of our pictures! While I was already excited for our pictures, this has left me thrilled to see all the other things they have done!! On the big day Desiree stayed with me, and Seth with my husband for pictures - nice arrangement! Desiree was a total professional - respectful of my family, and would laugh and participate in jokes. We then went and walked around town in our wedding garb for pictures. Again - such fun! They had also saved some spots for pictures just for the big day. They traveled from New Mexico to Southern California to shoot our wedding and made it very well worth it. It has been over a year since we got married and I still go through photos and our video in complete awe. They captured everything, and tell a beautiful story through their photos. On the day of our wedding, anything that went wrong or needed fixing, they were right there to make things stressfree... from hair pins to sewing kits, Desiree had it all in hand, while she and Seth still captured every moment and detail.
