This is definitely a place for builders and not for home renovation newbies. Unless you really know…read morewhat you're doing, you really have no business here. Mac sort of tolerated us, and their prices are cheaper, but I could tell we were annoying them with our questions and not having the terminology down. In fact, I could tell that even though Mac kinda liked me, he didn't really want to work with us. I'm sure it is much more time consuming to have to work with people who aren't in the business. For me, I'll probably always just work with a contractor and just let them handle it. There's so much to know, and so much you can get wrong. You can probably make a really expensive mistake in a hurry trying to save a couple thousand dollars (if it's even that big of a savings, it is sort of unclear). There was also something really weird happening in there. There was another employee in the cubicle next to us. He kept loudly asking the guy who was helping us if he wanted any crackers. Said they were the best crackers he'd ever had. Kept saying "man, are these good crackers." And though we could hear every word and hum and cough and keyboard keys, we never heard him eating. And I'm not a paranoid person, but I definitely felt like it was a euphemism for them to make fun of us, or remind the guy he drew the short straw. The guy helping us would respond, but just kind of laughingly. Like, I even googled what that might mean and couldn't find anything. Oh well. It just sort of generally contributed to me not feeling like this was the best idea ever.

All in all you will end up spending more fixing the cabinets you just purchased than what you actually spent on the cabinets. They will promise you replacements and fixes but when it's all said and done they will back out and not provide you with any replacements or fixes!

Great customer service!! I wasn't sure b where to go or good to all what I n was looking for…read more There was a gentleman ready to assist. After I told him what I needed he said go straight to the cashier tell them what you need and they will ring it up. Sure enough I did exactly what he said made my purchase and then followed the road to the back to pick up what I purchased. I wish I would have grabbed his name because he knew what I needed after in told him. Sure beats walking around the store aimlessly!

On Mother's Day my husband took me to the TLC on Memorial to select an orchid. I have 6 orchids in…read moremy home and know how to care of them. The orchid I chose at TLC had a couple of areas on the leaves that looked like cotton. I took it back to the information desk and the women wiped off the white area and told me it would be fine. My husband purchased the orchid for me for $60.00. Unfortunately, the white chalky substance kept coming back. I googled the information and found out it had mealybugs. I followed the directions to clean the area with alcohol. After trying to remove it for two months without success, I took the plant back to TLC today to ask for help. Paul, the manager was at the front door and told me to go to the middle of the store to talk to the woman at the information desk. She determined the mealybugs were in the potting media which is why I could not eliminate them with alcohol. She said she could repot the orchid but there would be a cost. Obviously, the potting media was infected when the orchid was purchased two months ago. I was insulted when told I would have to pay for the repotting process. I spoke with the manager, Paul, and he told me house plants do not have any type of warranty. I learned a lesson today. I will not buy house plants from TLC! I will buy them at a business that carries a warranty for a third of the cost! Susan M Reply to Frank on July 18 Frank, I would appreciate a retraction on your response. The orchid WAS purchased at TLC on May 6! The above story is accurate except for the amount spent ($50 instead of $60). I had not looked up the receipt before coming by TLC yesterday. The reference number on the receipt is 32073802. The total amount spent that day was $122.70. I have 6 very healthy orchids purchased at different locations. The white pot left with the orchid must have been switched while watering. The orchid purchased from Whole Foods is healthy and doing well. Actually, over the years I have never had a problem with an orchid being affected with mealybugs except for the orchid purchased at TLC. One statement you made is correct. This is the first review I have made on YELP because I wanted to let others know that customer service is questionable at your business. I understand policy is policy on the return of houseplants. I was not upset until being told there would be a charge to repot the plant. It didn't make sense for me as the customer, to pay to correct a problem that I wasn't responsible for. It would have cost very little for your employee to offer to repot the plant for free.
