I finally decided to try Pure Salon because I wanted my layers and my color fixed and I'm so happy I went there! Arlene listens and does exactly what you need! The staff is very friendly and I love that they text you ahead of time with reminders. I also noticed how they were sanitizing everything in between clients. Definitely recommend and I will be back!

I was there for four (4) hours & still I was a mess! BIG waste of time & money - simply STAY AWAY! The salon owner offered to "fix", no charge, but it had to be on her time, weeks later, then when it came time for the appt. I was sick, so the text message response read "OK NO problem, feel better. Call the Salon when you are ready to reschedule". When I called, later that same day, the person answering the phone knew nothing (typical of this place) & then the owner texted, didn't have the guts to call & she wrote...that too much time had passed (what an idiot, it was on her time) & b/c of the cancellations (only one (1) cancellation), I could reschedule, but I would have to pay full price. What a psycho! DON'T GO! THEY ARE NO GOOD! I also paid about $400! DON'T DO IT!!! They should be ashamed of themselves, but they take your money & send you out, looking like a complete mess! Never at a hair salon have I been able to see color booklets to show how the base color and highlight will look together. The salon is clean and really cute, and the stylist was super personable and easy to talk to, and really seemed to understand what I was looking for. I have frizzy/curly hair and its sometimes a challenge for stylists to blow out but she did a great job I was super impressed. I have to say that this is by far the BEST hair color I've ever had!!!!! She was helpful in deciding the best shade of "chocolate brown" for my skin tone which I fully appreciated (I want to know what will look right, of course!), and which color highlight would give the right pop of color I was looking for. She even suggested angles to make it look better. Every single product used in my hair smelled DELIGHTFUL too and not chemical-ly/stinky. Mirella is not only "the owner" but also an expert in the beauty field as she not only had the knowledge of the latest trends with recommended techniques but most importantly she utilized her skills and customized them to your personal needs. I wanted to go blonde again and she reminded me of the seasonal attributes that I should consider and counseled me on my ideal expectations. Together with her expertise and my expectations we came out with an amazing balayage color along with a healthy clean cut, which I was quite impressed with to say the least! That being said, I am the type of person that does not like my hair to be touched by a flat iron at a hair salon. I have been to a few REAL Dominican hair salons where they truly press my hair using the rollers & then the blow dryer. I refuse to settle for less. I came here and the lady was very hospitable however didn't do a good job. After she blow dried my hair & flat ironed it ( because she said it wouldn't come out as good without it) it still came out puffy & frizzy! I was disappointed because my mom does a better job. Afterwards, I would just get my eyebrows waxed here, but after realizing the place next door was a lot cheaper, I stopped going all together.
