Communication before the wedding was good, but the execution on the wedding day did not meet my expectations. I provided inspiration photos for a soft, romantic bridal look with glowing, natural-looking skin. Instead, my makeup was much heavier than I requested. My eye makeup appeared uneven, and one eye looked noticeably different from the other in many of my wedding photos. The complexion makeup was also very matte and flat, lacking the luminous finish I had specifically asked for. Looking back at my wedding portraits, I don't feel like I looked like myself, which is incredibly disappointing. My hair also didn't match the inspiration photos. It lacked the softness and romantic feel I had envisioned, and there wasn't enough time to make meaningful adjustments before the ceremony. The morning felt rushed, and several members of my bridal party were also unhappy with their hair and/or makeup. Because of the tight timeline, there wasn't enough opportunity to address concerns or refine anyone's look before we had to leave. I want to be clear that the artists themselves were kind and professional throughout the day. My disappointment is with the final results and the overall experience. As a bride, you only get one wedding day. Hair and makeup are such an important part of how you feel when you walk down the aisle and how you'll remember yourself in your photographs for years to come. I was unable to get an appointment with my hair dresser before I left so I tried someone new and he literally destroyed my hair. I heard great things about Alberto Chi and decided to give him a call. He was able to get me in right away. After a short 10 minute cab ride I was dropped off at his studio. The studio was super cute, clean and professional as was Alberto. I explained to Alberto what had happened and what I was wanting. In no time Alberto worked his magic and completely transformed my hair from a fried mess to the best hairstyle and coloring I have ever had. Alberto's prices were very reasonable and worth every cent. If I could come to Cancun every couple of months just to have my hair done by Alberto I would. I was approached by Juan Carlos for a free neck massages at the pool, so I took him up on it. He seriously worked it right out. I could have kissed him. So forward to October 2019 I see Juan Carlos around the pool with his massage chair giving free 10 minute massage. So I got the 10 minute massage and just melted. So I made an appointment for 4 p.m. that day for a full body massage overlooking the sea. Hands down best massage ever. He is firm yet gentle. Thoroughly worked me into heaven. When he was done I told him "why didn't I do this the first day I got here" He said majority of his clients say that. I will seek him out the moment I get to Cancun. The spa it's self in the hotel is stunning. Being on the club level you have total access to it as well as an indoor pool. Do yourself a huge favor and stay at JW Marriott while in Cancun.
