It was important for me to find a place close to home but also a place that was reputable with good reviews. Thanks to Yelp I stumbled upon Natural Balance therapeutic massage in Newington, CT. I quickly made an appointment after reading such awesome reviews, and the ease of appointment spiked my interest even greater. Upon arrival, my husband and I were greeted by our massage therapists who were very friendly and greeted us by name. We arrived a little early and filled out a small questionarre about any allergies, ailments, injuries, etc. The atmosphere was very welcoming, calming, comfortable and felt like walking into a home. It was also very clean and professional. Then we were off upstairs for our massages. The massage room was beautiful decorated with soft, dim lighting, 2 seperate heated beds with soft blankets, and calming spa music. The room was comfortably warm and we were left alone to change and get into the beds. Shortly thereafter, the massages started. 90 minutes of pure relaxation and bliss. I was very pleased with the communication the therapists provided to ensure full comfort, the professionalism of the entire experience, and the perfect combination of deep massage work and soft massage work. It was amazing how my massage therapist knew which parts needed extra work, and other parts of my muscles to go easier on. Needless to say, my hubby loved his massage as well and we both agreed to come back very soon. Great first experience here. I was looking to get a couples massage and Natural Balance stood out the most because of its organic look. The prices were reasonable and competitive. Upon entrance we were greeted by friendly staff and felt at home. The room we were in had two massage tables facing opposite to each other. The lights were dim with soothing music. The tables were very comfortable, and the ambiance was relaxing. Despite recently moving in, they had a nice setup. I think with a little bit more comforting decor, this location would be perfect. I was giving a gift certificate from my husband and mother in law. I went with the "she's so sweet". Let me tell you this was by far the BEST massage I have ever had. Lisa was absolutely amazing. She listened to what was wrong and what I needed help with. She only asked a few questions here and there during the massage to make sure I was ok. She just let me enjoy every minute of it. don't tell customers you take spa gift cards when you don't then they have to end up PAYING for their massage that was to be covered from the gift card the least you could have done was not charge for the portion the gift card was to cover that was not very cool or trustworthy and it ended up costing me a lot of money in bank fees since it made me go negative in my account... it was the opposite of stress free.... read more
