Denise is a trim, very strong woman. She gave me a deep tissue massage. It was very deep and very wonderful! She found places that had knots and hurt that I didn't realize. She did a great job mending my body. Denise is a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her massage room is spotless and pleasant. It is located in her house in a residential area. She had a number of candles burning. We had quite a lively conversation while she was giving me the massage. The draping towel is quite small. I highly recommend getting a massage at Relaxing Massage.

I had to go a few times before leaving this review. My regular places were all booked, so I called…read morethis local spot with good reviews, and they got me in same day. I was skeptical at first--the outside gave off more nail salon vibes than high-end spa. Once inside, the massage rooms are simple, with walls that don't go all the way up and curtains separating the spaces, so you can hear what's going on around you. I laid on the table thinking, "What did I get myself into?" But let me tell you--this was the BEST massage I've ever had. I've been to spas all over the world, spent top dollar on deep tissue massages, and this guy blew them all away. His technique was absolutely perfect. I was zoned out, relaxed, and left feeling incredible. He even healed a pain I'd had in my back for two years. I went back again today, got in right away, and the second massage was even better. Now that I wasn't on edge, I noticed how clean and well-kept everything is. It's basic, but spotless--and that matters most to me. Also? $65 for 60 minutes. Insane. Leave a fat tip--they deserve it. And the hot stones? 10,000/10.

Therapist refused to honor expired Groupon according to Groupon's terms. Groupon stated that my…read moreGroupon was always worth the $45 I paid for it, "from now to eternity." However, when I contacted the merchant, and referenced the new client one hour massage on his website for $40, he told me I'd owe an additional $20. That makes a massage $65, not $40. His response was "Yes, but I do not even get 1/2 of what the groupon is sold for. The $20 brings the total that I get paid up to the new client special." That's so SHADY. This therapist is the one who chose to go through Groupon. I did not force him to advertise on Groupon. He knew what he would make on each Groupon, and still go ahead with selling the Groupons. You make a choice, you need to live with it, not penalize your potential clients. So now, I will never be a client. And I will tell all of my friends not to be clients. Because no one wants to get ripped off by a greedy person who was happy to use Groupon to get advertising for his business, but not actually happy to follow their rules. Certainly, I don't think I should have to pay $25 extra for my massage over the advertised new client price, simply because the therapist now regrets his advertising choices. So, I contacted Groupon and they gave me my money back. So I've been made whole (thanks only to Groupon), but wanted to be sure to warn all potential customers about this therapist's suspect business practices. If you've already purchased a Groupon, don't even attempt to use it, just contact Groupon to get your money back!!

If you want someone who knows how to treat problem areas, I would not waste my time or money going anywhere else. Before the massage we chatted about my problem areas and she tailored my massage to address them. The hour went quickly and was so enjoyable. I left with the muscles in my neck feeling so loose and relaxed and the feeling lasted for days. Scheduling the appointment was easy and we communicated via text and email. My only complaint is that I don't have the income to support this self-care habit as the massage was $100 but worth every penny.
