This recording studio is a hidden gem in Westlake Village. It's owned by Nashville record producer TheRealJonSmith (Jonathan Smith), and is world class. If you don't need a megaplex and you don't want to drive to Los Angeles or Hollywood, up from Malibu or Calabasas, this is your spot. Jonathan brings Southern hospitality to Westlake Village as well as his relationships with other producers, mixers, songwriters, publishers, labels, and composers. When I walked into the studio I was totally blown away by how beautiful it was. It felt like I walked into a speak easy in London somewhere. Yeah, just gorgeous. Initially, I booked time at the studio for ADR on a film, but soon realized people make full albums, shoot videos, photography, content, live stream, and even use as a venue. It's awesome that they also record real musicians and full bands there. Totally pro yet casual at the same time. I got a good feeling and energy there. I'm an Irish singer songwriter from Dublin, and have worked with Jonathan there at Native South Studios over last several years. He's co-written, produced, and mixed several of my singles.
