I made an appointment February 17th, and I got an email confirmation. However, my appointment was scheduled for the beginning of March. Something told me to check my calendar because I am pretty sure that no one ever called me to actually have my taxes done, so I called the next day to see what happened.
The woman on the phone told me that I never had an appointment and that my appointment was actually for February 21st. I knew this wasn't true because I called to make my appointment on February 17th. Therefore, they were not going to give me an appointment four days later. They require for you to have your documents uploaded 10 days before your appointment. Also to note, my birthday was February 21, which was a Saturday, so I never would have made an appointment for that day.
She told me that she will call me back later last night around closing time, but she never called. So I called her again today to get an update. She told me that Racquel is unable to do my taxes right now because she is heavily booked with corporate taxes. I explained to her that I understand she is booked; however, I booked an appointment and also had expectations of a timeline of when my affairs and taxes would be handled. She told me that she won't be able to do my taxes until the corporate deadline is over, and that she had no definite date of when Racquel will be able to do my taxes.
I was very upset by this, and I realized and said to myself that I do not have to give these people nor this business, my money, nor my patronage. I even referred my fiancé to get his taxes done at the Doral office, but no one ever answered his calls, voicemails, nor emails. When I originally booked my appointment on February 17th, I inquired to see if the Doral office was still open. The receptionist on the phone at the Coral Springs office notified and told me that yes the Doral office is still open.
I have patroned this business for a couple of years. However, the customer service and quality of work is now in the gutter. I can no longer recommend them to those that I know. And yes, I am not filing taxes for corporate tax purposes; however ,I do still feel as though my business, patronage, and hard earned money is still worth something. Let's not lose the plot of the foundations of the business. read more
