I really prefer writing rave reviews. And this is happily one of those times, and with good reason. The customer SERVICE is above and beyond ANYWHERE in Central PA. And that goes for any and all types of business's (in my personal experience). Due to my work, I deal with an array of different people and businesses every single day. And it's just a palpable difference when dealing with the employees at this store. I haven't shopped at any other gun store since discovering this place back in January of this year. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, and if one of them doesn't know, another one of them will (plus they're just really nice and pleasant people). But... IF they don't know something, they'll say "Let me find out." They get to searching on the computer right away. There is nothing worse than when trying to make a purchase, and going into a business and asking an employee a reasonable question and the employee saying "I don't know". And then usually they stand there looking confused whilst catching flies with their mouth open. Like, "Go find out, little buddy!" Anyway, that doesn't happen at this store. And let's say you see something you like- online; just head to the store and have them special order it for you. Avoid paying the transfer fee. They sold me a Tx22 for the same amount Buds would have if I ordered from there. No brainer. Alas, I don't have everyone's name remembered yet, so I don't want to leave anyone out. But they have taken the initiative to learn mine and say "Ted", like I'm Norm walking into Cheers back in 1987. Except that there are guns- instead of beers (which in my opinion is waaaay cooler premise for a sitcom). If you have had an unpleasant experience at any ffl in the area, and/or are looking for a new "home" to shop at, this is the spot. read more

I stumbled across this place after not finding what I needed at Dick's or Dunham's and not wanting to drive all the way out to Grice, and I am glad I did! Don't let the size of the store fool you - they have an excellent selection that rivals the bigger stores (I think they have a better handgun selection), and what they don't have on the shelves they are willing to order or do a store transfer which takes no time at all. Better yet, they price match! Another huge plus to this place is they have a large, knowledgeable, and dedicated staff. Upon walking in it only takes a few seconds for one of their staff to approach you and ask if you need help. But they do so in a way that doesn't make you feel uncomfortable if you say no - there is no hovering, no pushy questions, no watching you as you work your way across the room. If you do end up talking to one of the staff, they are extremely helpful in getting you what you want, providing recommendations, or just chatting with! If you are in the market for anything gun-related, come here rather than the big box stores! read more

My husband and I recently decided to purchase a couple guns, he did his research and we thought we could get one at Dunham's (we didn't know this place existed at the time). We got to Dunham's, they said their store policy doesn't allow them to sell guns to non PA-residents. That's weird, but they can do what they want. We looked up other options and found this place, near Wegmans, and thought we'd give it a try. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Matt, a very friendly and knowledgeable guy. We spent maybe an hour talking and looking at the guns they had. They didn't have the one we wanted in stock, but they were able to order it and get it shipped there for us (took only one week). My husband also got a deer rifle, because it's a great deal and with the changing political climate it's good to be prepared. Matt was super helpful and patient, answered questions and told us when he didn't have experience with a certain gun (rather than just lying to try and sell it asap). We both really appreciated his help! I went back to get a few cases, too, and that was an easy process. The woman (manager?) who works there seems a bit cold, doesn't smile a lot, so that's off-putting... But everyone else who works there seems excited and happy to be there, and especially happy to help you find the best gun for you. The store seems small, but they have a lot and they're willing to order most things for you if they don't have it. Overall an excellent store and I will highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a new gun. read more

This is the best gun store I have ever been to, hands down! I'm giving National Sporting Arms a 5/5 and I wish I could give them more! I have been here 3 or 4 times and customer service is phenomenal. You walk into the store and it's clean and very organized. They usually have a great selection of guns, ammo, and other outdoor items. The workers know their stuff as well! Ask them any questions and they are happy to help and share their knowledge! I think this might just be the best gun store I've ever been to. Very clean and well-organized, I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. One of the workers helped my girlfriend and I pick out a holster for her; he shared some of his personal experience with us and helped us come to a really great decision. Afterwards we roamed the store a bit longer and after some really great input from the staff we ended up buying some Black Rifle coffee to give it a shot.
