Our RV (camper) suffered a terrible "China Bomb Explosion" when, while under tow to our favorite vacation destination, the last one of the season before we winterized the rig, one of our "brand new" Trailer King E-Class tires EXPLODED!! It literally lifted our 23 foot camper in the air, and tugged our 2024 Silverado RST so forcefully, we thought we either got hit by a Mack truck or ran over a damn buffalo!!!! Stranded, on the side of the I-35, and hours later, our insurance summoned a road-side assistance wrecker, who mounted yet another "China Bomb" spare tire, and we then "limped back" to home base, where we called and called and CALLED ANY RV REPAIR SHOP!!!!!! Even the shop we had recently visited for repairs and overall service (to the tune of $2600.00!!!!) never once responded to our calls, email or text!! I'll remember THAT next time. IN MY OPINION, OKLAHOMA SUCKS WHEN IT COMES TO HONEST, PUNCTUAL AND RELIABLE RV, REPAIR SHOPS!!!!! That is, until Nates RV Repair in Edmond Oklahoma answered after two rings!!!! Nathan Herndon (Owner, and Overall Amazingly AWESOME & HUGE Man) was very calm, kind and understanding, as we were still pretty shook up, and PISSED that NO ONE would answer our distress call!!! Nate kindly suggested we have the camper brought to his HUGE repair complex, and after looking at the insurance adjuster's assessment, (we freaked out!!!) he calmed us down, assuring us that this, unfortunately, happens very often, regardless of the age and condition of these deceptive "great tires" (Trailer King), I call them the CHINESE JUNK!!!!!). He said that although the damage appeared severe, he would have it better than new in days! IT JUST CAN'T BE THAT EASY !!!!!!!! Boy, was he on the money there!!! When we had it towed there, the interior was permeated with tire-smoke scent, burnt insulation, styro-foam and wood remnants littered throughout the floor, under the cabinets, and all the way into the bathroom tub!!!!! There were wires hanging out from the hole in the bottom and under the cabinets, guts hanging out like some wild Boar had ripped them from their terminals!!!!--AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!! It smelled like it had died!!!! We knew for certain Nate was wasting his and our time because it was certainly a total loss to us!! And to make matters worse WE WERE UPSIDE DOWN ON ITS VALUE!!!!!! We knew in our broken hearts that the insurance was NEVER going to total it. We were stuck with this albatross until a tornado could take it away for good!!!! We were sooooo wrong; The repairs were done so perfectly, I honestly could not tell a crew of amazing mechanics and "highly-conscientious-miracle-workers" had been over, under, around and through every ripped out wire, (all the way to the water heater!!!!!) floor system, axle and underbelly!!! The tire "wheel well" was so mangled, that he professionally hand-crafted a stainless steel well, so pretty I wish I had "see-through" faring and fenders to show it off!! It looks like an aircraft manufacturer had fabricated this for a Lear Jet!!!! While under repairs, Nate noticed some wear the previous shop had neglected; (after spending almost $3000.00!!!!!!) the wheel bearings were burnt and dry, the seals on the rim and outer edges of the unit were weather worn, and cracked. This was above-and-beyond the damaged from the "China Bomb" explosion incident, but we are so grateful Nate and his Team noticed these discrepancies!!!! When we pulled up to the repair complex, our "Baby" looked like it just rolled onto the Coleman Dutchmen Show Room floor!!!! It sparkled and shined! the new American-Made tires and rims looked amazing! The interior (cabin) had no evidence that an explosion had ever occurred! IT EVEN HAS THE NEW CAMPER SMELL AGAIN!!!!!!!! We were traveling thru okc when our rv just lost acceleration. We called 15-20 shops who were telling us it would be at least 3-4 weeks before they could even take a look. Nate said to bring it in and they would work it in next morning. They analyzed the situation and had fuel pump replaced same day. Guys in shop were super and knowledgeable. I decided to upgrade my steering stabilizer on our Class C RV. The new stabilizer cost approximately $400. Many of the steering stabilizer reviews stated it took about one hour to install. I scheduled with Nate's RV Repair to have the steering stabilizer installed. When we took the RV to Nate's he pointed out some deterioration of the silicone caulking on the slide-out. When we got the invoice, it was $2,682.35!!!! (12.5 hours of labor at $175/hour.) I strongly suggest that if you have Nate's RV repair do any work for you that you get an estimate and insure that Nate contacts you if that estimate is exceeded. I didn't and got burnt! If he refuses to give you an estimate, I suggest you find another repair shop. To add insult to injury the new steering stabilizer caused the steering to pull to the right, and when I adjusted it, I found one of the U bolts holding the stabilizer to the steering arm was loose due to the threads being stripped. I LOVE THESE GUYS, THIS BUSINESS!!! They are amazing at what they do and how they do it! I went in needing desperate repair on a family rv( I just can't part with) & I was literally walked through the process of not only what they'd do but how they were gonna go about it. I was given a very reasonable quote too. By the time all was said & done not only did they surprise me beyond my expectations but what the bottom dollar came to was lower than the original quote!!! Their efforts brought me to tears as I remember camping in it when I was a kid and it not being in memory half as nice as the product that was returned to me!! April 21, 2023. We were on a road trip from So. Cal. when our Dometic Refrigerator quit working on propane, which we rely on heavily. Nate took us in first thing the next morning and promptly fixed the problem. Another rv repair place we had stopped at in Amarillo had told us it needed a new cooling unit which was very expensive and they couldn't even get the part. But Nate knew exactly what to do and blew out some dust/dirt from the outside compartment and that got the fridge working again. When I asked what we owed him, he said "no charge" - but I gave him a tip. He even noticed another vent cover that was loose and took the time to grab a ladder, drill a hole and put a screw in to fasten it. He went the extra mile! THANK YOU, NATE from Hugh & Nancy!
